John 17
1 When Jesus had thus spoken, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father! the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee;
ⲁ̅ⲚⲀⲒ ⲀϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϤⲀⲒ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲂⲀⲖ ⲈⲠϢⲰⲒ ⲈⲦⲪⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲠⲀⲒⲰⲦ ⲘⲀⲰⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲈⲔϢⲎⲢⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲈⲔϢⲎⲢⲒ ϮⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲔ.
2 according as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that he should give everlasting life to all whom thou hast given him. (aiōnios g166)

3 And this is the everlasting life, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou didst send. (aiōnios g166)

4 I have glorified thee on the earth, having finished the work which thou gavest me to do;
ⲇ̅ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲀⲒϮⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲔ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲒϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲠⲒϨⲰⲂ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲎⲒ ϪⲈ ⲚⲦⲀⲀⲒϤ.
5 and now, Father! do thou glorify me with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲘⲀⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲎⲒ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲀⲒⲰⲦ ϦⲀⲦⲞⲦⲔ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲚⲀϤⲚⲦⲎⲒ ⲚϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲘⲠⲀⲦⲈ ⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲀⲦⲞⲦⲔ.
6 I manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
ⲋ̅ⲀⲒⲞⲨⲰⲚϨ ⲘⲠⲈⲔⲢⲀⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲎⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲞⲨⲔ ⲚⲈⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲔⲦⲎⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲎⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈⲔⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲀⲨⲀⲢⲈϨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ.
7 Now they know that all things whatever thou hast given me are from thee;
ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲀⲨⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲎⲒ ϨⲀⲚⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲔ ⲚⲈ
8 for I have given to them the words which thou hast given me; and they received them, and knew surely that I came forth from thee, and believed that thou didst send me.
ⲏ̅ϪⲈ ⲚⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲎⲒ ⲀⲒⲦⲎⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲀⲨϬⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲈⲘⲒ ⲦⲀⲪⲘⲎⲒ ϪⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲒⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲔ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲀⲞⲨⲞⲒ.
9 I pray for them; I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine;
ⲑ̅ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϮⲦⲰⲂϨ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲒⲦⲰⲂϨ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲎⲒ ϪⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲔ ⲚⲈ
10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
ⲓ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲔ ⲚⲈⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲒϬⲒⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ
11 And I am no longer in the world; and they are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father! keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲬⲎ ⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲤⲈⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϮⲚⲎⲞⲨ ϨⲀⲢⲞⲔ ⲠⲀⲒⲰⲦ ⲠⲒⲀⲄⲒⲞⲤ ⲀⲢⲈϨ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈⲔⲢⲀⲚ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲎⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲘⲠⲈⲚⲢⲎϮ.
12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me, and guarded them; and no one of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture may be fulfilled.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϨⲞⲦⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲈⲒⲬⲎ ⲚⲈⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲒⲀⲢⲈϨ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈⲔⲢⲀⲚ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎ ⲒϤ ⲚⲎⲒ ⲀⲒⲀⲢⲈϨ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲈ ϨⲖⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲦⲀⲔⲞ ⲈⲂⲎⲖ ⲈⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲦⲀⲔⲞ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲄⲢⲀⲪⲎ ϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ.
13 But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in them.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲒⲚⲎⲞⲨ ϨⲀⲢⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲒ ϮⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲀⲢⲀϢⲒ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈϤϪⲎⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲀⲒϮ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲈⲔⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲘⲈⲤⲦⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ϨⲀⲚⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲚⲈⲘⲠⲀⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ.
15 I do not pray thee to take them out of the world, but to keep them from evil.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲚⲀⲒϮϨⲞ ⲀⲚ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲔⲞⲖⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲔⲀⲢⲈϨ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀ ⲠⲒⲠⲈⲦϨⲰⲞⲨ.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ϨⲀⲚⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲚⲈⲘⲠⲀⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ.
17 Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is truth.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲘⲀⲦⲞⲨⲂⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲪⲰⲔ ⲚⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲠⲈ ϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ.
18 As thou didst send me into the world, I also sent them into the world.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲞⲨⲞⲢⲠⲦ ⲈⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϨⲰ ⲀⲒⲞⲨⲞⲢⲠⲞⲨ ⲈⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ.
19 And in their behalf I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in the truth.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲦⲞⲨⲂⲞ ⲘⲘⲞⲒ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲦⲞⲨⲂⲎ ⲞⲨⲦ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ.
20 Yet not for these alone do I pray, but also for those who believe in me through their word;
ⲕ̅ⲚⲀⲒϮϨⲞ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲢⲞⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲞⲨⲤⲀϪⲒ
21 that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me and I in thee, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that thou didst send me.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲪⲒⲰⲦ ⲈⲦⲈⲔϢⲞⲠ ⲚϨⲢⲎ ⲒⲚϦⲎⲦ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϨⲰ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲔ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲈⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲀⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲀϨϮ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲀⲞⲨⲞⲒ.
22 And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one;
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲠⲒⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲎⲒ ⲀⲒⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ϨⲰⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲘⲠⲈⲚⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰⲚ ⲈⲚϢⲞⲠ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲀⲒ.
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one, that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲨϪⲎⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲀⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲀⲞⲨⲞⲒ.
24 Father! as to that which thou hast given me, I desire that they also be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲠⲀⲒⲰⲦ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲎⲒ ϮⲞⲨⲰϢ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲪⲘⲀ ⲈϮϢⲞⲠ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲈⲘⲎⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲠⲀⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲎ ⲒϤ ⲚⲎⲒ ϪⲈ ⲀⲔⲘⲈⲚⲢⲒⲦ ϦⲀϪⲈⲚ ⲦⲔⲀⲦⲀⲂⲞⲖⲎ ⲘⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ.
25 Righteous Father! and yet the world knew thee not! but I knew thee, and these knew that thou didst send me.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲠⲀⲒⲰⲦ ⲠⲒⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲈ ⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲤⲞⲨⲰⲚⲔ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲀⲒⲤⲞⲨⲰⲚⲔ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲒⲔⲈⲬⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒ ⲀⲨⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲀⲞⲨⲞⲒ
26 And I made known to them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲒⲦⲀⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲠⲈⲔⲢⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲚⲀⲦⲀⲘⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ϮⲀⲄⲀⲠⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲔⲘⲈⲚⲢⲒⲦ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϨⲰ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϨⲰ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ.
