John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled. Have faith in God, and have faith in me.
ⲁ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ̅ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲉ͡ⲓ.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. For I go away to prepare a place for you;
ⲃ̅ⲟⲩⲛϩⲁϩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁ ⲛ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲏⲓ̈ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ. ⲉⲛⲉⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ. ⲛⲉⲓ̈ⲛⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲥⲃ̅ⲧⲉⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅.
3 and when I have gone away and prepared a place for you, I will come again, and will take you to myself; that where I am, ye also may be.
ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲓ̈ϣⲁⲛⲃⲱⲕ ⲧⲁⲥⲃ̅ⲧⲉⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅. ϯⲛⲏⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲧⲁϫⲓⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲉ͡ⲓ. ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉϯⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ. ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲱⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ.
4 And ye know the way whither I go.
ⲇ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲁⲛⲟⲕʾ ⲉϯⲛⲁ ⲉⲣⲟϥ. ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ.
5 Thomas saith to him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how then do we know the way?
ⲉ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉⲑⲱⲙⲁⲥ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ̅ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲕⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲱⲛ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁϣⲥⲟⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ.
6 Jesus saith to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one cometh to the Father but through me.
ⲋ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲓ̅ⲥ̅. ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲱⲛϩ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲏⲩ ϣⲁⲡⲓⲱⲧ. ⲉ͡ⲓⲙⲏⲧⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧ.
7 If ye knew me, ye would know my Father also; and from this time ye know him, and have seen him.
ⲍ̅ⲉϣϫⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲩⲱⲛⲧ̅. ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲥⲟⲩⲛ̅ⲡⲁⲕⲉⲓ̈ⲱⲧ. ⲁⲩⲱ ϫⲓⲛⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ.
8 Philip saith to him, Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be satisfied.
ⲏ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲁⲧⲥⲁⲃⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲉ͡ⲓⲱⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲱ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ.
9 Jesus saith to him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how is it that thou sayest, Show us the Father?
ⲑ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲉ͡ⲓⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ϣ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅ ϯⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲕ̅ⲥⲟⲩⲱⲛⲧ ⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲉ. ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ̈. ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲓⲱⲧ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲕ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲕϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲁⲧⲥⲁⲃⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲓ̈ⲱⲧ.
10 Dost thou not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not from myself; but the Father, who dwelleth in me, doeth his works.
ⲓ̅ⲛⲅ̅ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯϩⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ. ⲛ̅ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉϯϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅. ⲛⲉⲓ̈ϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ̈ ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁⲧ. ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ϥⲓⲣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉϥϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ.
11 Believe me, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; but if not, believe for the very works' sake.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲛⲁⲓ̈ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯϩⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ. ⲉϣϫⲉⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲛⲉϥϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ.
12 Truly, truly do I say to you, He that believeth in me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater than these shall he do; because I am going to the Father,
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲉ͡ⲓ ⲛⲉϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲉϯⲉ͡ⲓⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ. ⲡⲏ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲁⲁⲁⲩ. ⲁⲩⲱ ϥⲛⲁⲣ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲉ͡ⲓⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ϣⲁⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ
13 and whatever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do; that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁⲓⲧⲓ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ϯⲛⲁⲁⲁϥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲓⲱⲧ ϫⲓⲉⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲙ̅ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲁⲛⲁⲓⲧⲓ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϩⲱⲃ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ. ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ϯⲛⲁⲁⲁϥ.
15 If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments;
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲁⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ. ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲛⲁⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ
16 and I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever; (aiōn g165)
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲛⲁⲥⲉⲡⲥ̅ⲡⲓⲱⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ϥⲛⲁϯ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲕⲉⲡⲁⲣⲁⲕⲗⲏⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩ (aiōn g165)
17 the Spirit of truth, which the world cannot receive, because it doth not behold it, nor know it; ye know it, because it abideth with you, and will be in you.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲙ̅ⲙⲛϣϭⲟⲙ ⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉϫⲓⲧϥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲛϥ̅ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛϥ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲛ. ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ϥⲛⲁϭⲱ ϩⲁⲧⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅.
18 I will not leave you bereaved; I am coming to you.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲛ̅ϯⲛⲁⲕⲁⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲟ̅ ⲛ̅ⲟⲣⲫⲁⲛⲟⲥ. ϯⲛⲏⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅.
19 Yet a little while, and the world beholdeth me no more; but ye will behold me, because I live, and ye will live.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲉϯⲕⲉⲕⲟⲩⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ̈ ⲁⲛ. ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲉ͡ⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲟⲛϩ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ϩⲱⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲱⲛϩ.
20 In that day ye will know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
ⲕ̅ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲉ͡ⲓⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯϩⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅.
21 He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and he that loveth me will be loved by my Father; and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲩⲛ̅ⲧϥ̅ⲛⲁⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈. ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ ⲛⲁⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧϥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲛⲁⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧϥ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ϯⲛⲁⲟⲩⲟⲛϩⲧ̅ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
22 Judas, not Iscariot, saith to him, And how is it, Lord, that thou art going to manifest thyself to us, and not to the world?
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲥ ⲡⲕⲁⲛⲁⲛⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲉⲕⲛⲁⲟⲩⲟⲛϩⲕ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲅ̅ⲧⲙ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲛϩⲕʾ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ
23 Jesus answered and said to him, If any one loveth me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲁⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ. ϥⲛⲁϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲡⲁϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ ⲛⲁⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧϥ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲏⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ. ⲛ̅ⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲛ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲁϩⲧⲏϥ.
24 He that loveth me not, keepeth not my words; and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛ̅ϥⲙⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈ ⲛϥ̅ⲛⲁϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡⲁϣⲁϫⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲱⲓ̈ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲁⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧʾ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ.
25 These things have I spoken to you, while abiding with you;
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲓ̈ϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲓ̈ϣⲟⲟⲡ ϩⲁϩⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅.
26 but the Comforter, the Holy Spirit which the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things which I have said to you.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥϣⲁⲛⲉ͡ⲓ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲡⲁⲣⲁⲕⲗⲏⲧⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲁⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲟⲩϥ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲧⲥⲁⲃⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥ̅ⲧⲣⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲣ̅ⲡⲙⲉⲩⲉ ⲛ̅ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓ̈ϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅.
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world giveth, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ϯⲕⲱ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉ͡ⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ. ⲧⲁⲉ͡ⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲱⲉ͡ⲓ ⲧⲉ ϯϯ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅. ⲛ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲑⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲉϣⲁⲣⲉⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϯ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲓ̈ϯ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅. ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ̅ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ϭⲱⲃ.
28 Ye heard me say to you, I am going away, and am coming again to you. If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced that I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓ̈ϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲟⲛ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅. ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈. ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲉ͡ⲓⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ϣⲁⲡⲓⲱⲧ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧ ⲛⲁⲁⲁϥ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ̈.
29 And now I have told you before it hath come to pass, that when it hath come to pass ye may believe.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲓ̈ϫⲟⲟϥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲙⲡⲁⲧϥ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥϣⲁⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ.
30 I shall not talk much more with you. For the prince of the world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
ⲗ̅ⲛ̅ϯⲛⲁϫⲉϩⲁϩ ϭⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̅ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅. ϥⲛⲏⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲛⲧ̅ϥⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ.
31 But [[this must be]] that the world may know that I love the Father, and that as the Father gave me commandment so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
