Job 9
1 Then Job answered and said:
౧అప్పుడు యోబు ఇలా జవాబు చెప్పాడు.
2 Of a truth, I know that it is so: For how can man be just before God?
౨నిజమే, ఆ విషయం అలాగే ఉంటుందని నాకు తెలుసు. మనిషి దేవుని దృష్టిలో లోపం లేనివాడుగా ఎలా ఉండగలడు?
3 If he choose to contend with him, He cannot answer him to one charge of a thousand.
౩మనిషి ఆయనతో వివాదం పెట్టుకుంటే ఆయన అడిగే వెయ్యి ప్రశ్నల్లో ఒక్కదానికైనా జవాబు చెప్పలేడు.
4 He is excellent in wisdom, mighty in strength: Who hath hardened himself against him, and prospered?
౪ఆయన అత్యంత వివేకం, బల ప్రభావాలు గలవాడు. ఆయనతో పోరాడాలని తెగించిన వాళ్ళు తప్పక కీడు పాలవుతారు.
5 He removeth the mountains, and they know it not; He overturneth them in his anger.
౫పర్వతాలను వాటికి తెలియకుండానే ఆయన తొలగిస్తాడు. కోపంతో వాటిని బోర్లాపడేలా చేస్తాడు.
6 He shaketh the earth out of her place, And the pillars thereof tremble.
౬భూమిని కూడా అది ఉన్న స్థలం నుండి కదిలించివేస్తాడు. భూమి పునాదులు ఊగిపోయేలా చేస్తాడు.
7 He commandeth the sun, and it riseth not, And he sealeth up the stars.
౭ఆయన సూర్యుడికి ఉదయించవద్దని ఆజ్ఞాపిస్తే సూర్యుడు ఉదయించడు. ఆయన నక్షత్రాలను కనబడకుండా దాచివేస్తాడు.
8 He alone spreadeth out the heavens, And walketh upon the high waves of the sea.
౮ఆయన మాత్రమే ఆకాశాన్ని విశాలం చేస్తాడు. సముద్ర అలల మీద ఆయన నడుస్తున్నాడు.
9 He made the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, And the secret chambers of the South.
౯స్వాతి, మృగశీర్షం, కృత్తిక అనే నక్షత్రాలను, దక్షిణ నక్షత్రాల రాశిని ఆయనే కలగజేశాడు.
10 He doeth great things past finding out, Yea, wonderful things without number.
౧౦ఎవరికీ అంతు చిక్కని మహిమ గల కార్యాలు, లెక్కలేనన్ని అద్భుత క్రియలు ఆయన చేస్తున్నాడు.
11 Lo! he goeth by me, but I see him not; He passeth along, but I do not perceive him.
౧౧ఇదిగో, ఆయన నా సమీపంలో ఉంటున్నాడు, కానీ నేను ఆయనను గుర్తించలేదు. నా పక్కనుండి నడుస్తూ వెళ్తున్నాడు కానీ ఆయన నాకు కనబడడు.
12 Lo! he seizeth, and who can hinder him? Who will say to him, What doest thou?
౧౨ఆయన తీసుకువెళ్తుంటే ఆయనను అడ్డగించేవాడెవడు? “నువ్వేం చేస్తున్నావు?” అని ఆయనను అడగగలిగే వాళ్ళు ఎవరు?
13 God will not turn away his anger; The proud helpers are brought low before him.
౧౩దేవుని కోపం చల్లారదు. రాహాబుకు సహాయం చేసిన వాళ్ళు ఆయనకు లొంగిపోయారు.
14 How much less shall I answer him, And choose out words to contend with him?
౧౪కాబట్టి ఆయనకు జవాబివ్వడానికి నేనేపాటి వాణ్ణి? సూటియైన మాటలు పలుకుతూ ఆయనతో వాదించడానికి నేనెంతటి వాణ్ణి?
15 Though I were innocent, I would not answer him; I would cast myself on the mercy of my judge.
౧౫నేను న్యాయవంతుణ్ణి అయినా ఆయనకు జవాబు చెప్పలేను. నా న్యాయాధిపతిని కరుణించమని వేడుకోవడం మాత్రమే చేయగలను.
16 Should I call, and he make answer to me, I could not believe that he listened to my voice, —
౧౬నేను మొరపెట్టినప్పుడు ఆయన నాకు జవాబిచ్చినా ఆయన నా మాట వింటాడని నాకు నమ్మకం లేదు.
17 He who falleth upon me with a tempest, And multiplieth my wounds without cause!
౧౭ఆయన నా మొర వినకుండా నన్ను తుఫాను చేత నలగగొడుతున్నాడు. కారణం లేకుండా నా గాయాలను రేగగొడుతున్నాడు.
18 Who will not suffer me to take my breath, But filleth me with bitterness!
౧౮ఆయన నన్ను ఊపిరి పీల్చుకోనివ్వడు. చేదు పదార్థాలు నాకు తినిపిస్తాడు.
19 If I look to strength, “Lo! here am I!” [[saith he, ]] If to justice, “Who shall summon me to trial?”
౧౯బలవంతుల శక్తిని గూర్చి ప్రశ్న వస్తే “నేనే ఉన్నాను” అని ఆయన అంటాడు. న్యాయ నిర్ణయం గూర్చి వివాదం రేగినప్పుడు “నాకు విరోధంగా వాదించేది ఎవరు?” అని ఆయన అడుగుతాడు.
20 Though I were upright, yet must my own mouth condemn me; Though I were innocent, He would prove me perverse.
౨౦నేను చేసే వాదన న్యాయంగా ఉన్నప్పటికీ నా మాటలే నా మీద నేరం మోపుతాయి. నేను న్యాయవంతుడినైప్పటికీ దోషినని నా మాటలు రుజువు చేస్తాయి.
21 Though I were innocent, I would not care for myself; I would despise my life.
౨౧నేను నిర్దోషిని అయినప్పటికీ నా మీద నాకు ఇష్టం పోయింది. నా ప్రాణం అంటే నాకు లెక్క లేదు.
22 It is all one; therefore I will affirm, He destroyeth the righteous and the wicked alike.
౨౨తేడా ఏమీ లేదు. అందుకే అంటున్నాను, ఆయన నీతిమంతులు, దుర్మార్గులు అనే భేదం లేకుండా అందరినీ నాశనం చేస్తున్నాడు.
23 When the scourge bringeth sudden destruction, He laugheth at the sufferings of the innocent.
౨౩ఆకస్మాత్తుగా సమూల నాశనం సంభవిస్తే నిరపరాధులు పడే అవస్థను చూసి ఆయన నవ్వుతాడు.
24 The earth is given into the hands of the wicked; He covereth the face of the judges thereof; If it be not He, who is it?
౨౪భూమి దుర్మార్గుల ఆధీనంలో ఉంది. ఆయన న్యాయాధిపతులకు మంచి చెడ్డల విచక్షణ లేకుండా చేస్తాడు. ఇవన్నీ చేయగలిగేది ఆయన గాక ఇంకెవరు?
25 My days have been swifter than a courier; They have fled away; they have seen no good.
౨౫పరుగు తీసే వాడి కంటే వేగంగా, ఎలాంటి మంచీ లేకుండానే నా రోజులు గడిచిపోతున్నాయి.
26 They have gone by like the reed-skiffs; Like the eagle, darting upon his prey.
౨౬రెల్లుతో కట్టిన పడవలు సాగిపోతున్నట్టు, గరుడపక్షి ఎరను చూసి హటాత్తుగా దానిపై వాలినట్టు నా రోజులు దొర్లిపోతున్నాయి.
27 If I say, I will forget my lamentation, I will change my countenance, and take courage,
౨౭నా బాధలు మరచిపోతాననీ, నా దుఃఖం పోయి సంతోషంగా ఉంటాననీ నేను అనుకున్నానా?
28 Still am I in dread of the multitude of my sorrows; For I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.
౨౮నాకు వచ్చిన బాధలన్నిటిని బట్టి భయపడుతున్నాను. నువ్వు నన్ను నిర్దోషిగా ఎంచవన్న విషయం నాకు స్పష్టంగా తెలిసిపోయింది.
29 I shall be found guilty; Why then should I labor in vain?
౨౯నేను దోషిని అని నిర్ణయం అయిపొయింది గదా. ఇక నాకెందుకు ఈ వృథా ప్రయాస?
30 If I wash myself in snow, And cleanse my hands with lye,
౩౦నన్ను నేను మంచులాగా శుభ్రం చేసుకున్నా, సబ్బుతో నా చేతులు తోముకున్నా,
31 Still wilt thou plunge me into the pit, So that my own clothes will abhor me.
౩౧నువ్వు నన్ను గుంటలో పడేస్తావు. అప్పుడు నేను వేసుకున్న బట్టలే నన్ను అసహ్యించుకుంటాయి.
32 For He is not a man, as I am, that I may contend with him, And that we may go together into judgment;
౩౨ఆయనకు జవాబు చెప్పడానికి దేవుడు నాలాగా మనిషి కాదు. ఆయనతో వాదించడానికి మేమిద్దరం కలసి న్యాయస్థానానికి వెళ్ళడం ఎలా?
33 There is no umpire between us, Who may lay his hand upon us both.
౩౩మా ఇద్దరి మీద చెయ్యి ఉంచి తీర్పు చెప్పగలిగే వ్యక్తి మాకు లేడు.
34 Let him take from me his rod, And not dismay me with his terrors,
౩౪ఆయన శిక్షాదండం నా మీద నుండి తొలగించాలి. ఆయన భయంకర చర్యలు నాలో వణుకు పుట్టించకుండా ఉండాలి.
35 Then I will speak, and not be afraid of him: For I am not so at heart.
౩౫అప్పుడు నేను భయం లేకుండా ఆయనతో మాట్లాడతాను, అయితే ఇప్పుడున్న పరిస్థితిని బట్టి నేను అలా చెయ్యలేను.
