Job 8
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:
Kaj ekparolis Bildad, la Ŝuĥano, kaj diris:
2 How long wilt thou speak such things? How long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
Kiel longe vi tiel parolos, Kaj la vortoj de via buŝo estos kiel forta vento?
3 Will God pervert judgment? Or will the Almighty pervert justice?
Ĉu Dio falsas la juĝon? Ĉu la Plejpotenculo falsas la justecon?
4 As thy children sinned against him, He hath given them up to their transgression.
Se viaj filoj pekis kontraŭ Li, Li forpuŝis ilin pro ilia malbonago.
5 But if thou wilt seek early to God, And make thy supplication to the Almighty, —
Se vi serĉas Dion Kaj petegas la Plejpotenculon,
6 If thou wilt be pure and upright, Surely he will yet arise for thee, And prosper thy righteous habitation;
Se vi estas pura kaj pia, Li maldormos super vi, Kaj restarigos la bonstaton en via virta loĝejo.
7 So that thy beginning shall be small, And thy latter end very great.
Kaj se via komenco estis malgranda, Via estonteco forte kreskos.
8 For inquire, I pray thee, of the former age, And mark what hath been searched out by their fathers;
Ĉar demandu la antaŭajn generaciojn, Kaj primeditu tion, kion esploris iliaj patroj;
9 (For we are of yesterday and know nothing, Since our days upon the earth are but a shadow; )
Ĉar ni estas de hieraŭ, kaj ni nenion scias; Nia vivo sur la tero estas nur ombro.
10 Will not they instruct thee, and tell thee, And utter words from their understanding?
Ili instruos vin, diros al vi, Kaj el sia koro elirigos vortojn.
11 “Can the paper-reed grow up without mire? Can the bulrush grow without water?
Ĉu povas kreski kano sen malsekeco? Ĉu kreskas junko sen akvo?
12 While it is yet in its greenness, and is not cut down, It withereth before any other herb.
En tia okazo ĝi velksekiĝas pli frue ol ĉiu herbo, Kiam ĝi estas ankoraŭ en sia freŝeco, Kiam ĝi ankoraŭ ne estas detranĉita.
13 Such is the fate of all who forget God; So perisheth the hope of the ungodly.
Tiaj estas la vojoj de ĉiuj, kiuj forgesas Dion; Kaj pereas la espero de hipokritulo,
14 His confidence shall come to nought, And his trust shall prove a spider's web.
Kies fido dehakiĝas, Kaj kies espero estas araneaĵo.
15 He shall lean upon his house, and it shall not stand; He shall lay fast hold on it, but it shall not endure.
Li apogas sin al sia domo, sed ne restos staranta; Li ekkaptos ĝin, sed ne povos sin teni.
16 He is in full green before the sun, And his branches shoot forth over his garden;
Li estis verda antaŭ la suno, Kaj super lia ĝardeno etendiĝas liaj branĉoj;
17 His roots are entwined about the heap, And he seeth the place of stones;
Amase plektiĝas liaj radikoj, Inter ŝtonoj ili tenas sin forte;
18 When he shall be destroyed from his place, It shall deny him, saying, 'I never saw thee.'
Sed kiam oni elŝiras lin el lia loko, Ĝi malkonfesas lin: Mi vin ne vidis.
19 Lo! such is the joy of his course! And others shall spring up from his place”
Tia estas la ĝojo de lia vivo; Kaj el la tero kreskas aliaj.
20 Behold, God will not cast away an upright man; Nor will he help the evil-doers.
Vidu, Dio ne forpuŝas virtulon Kaj ne subtenas la manon de malpiuloj.
21 While he filleth thy mouth with laughter, And thy lips with gladness,
Li plenigos ankoraŭ vian buŝon per rido Kaj viajn lipojn per ĝojkrioj.
22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame, And the dwelling-place of the wicked shall come to nought.
Viaj malamantoj kovriĝos per honto; Sed la tendo de malpiuloj malaperos.
