Job 7
1 Is there not a war-service for man on the earth? Are not his days as the days of a hireling?
¿No tiene el hombre su tiempo ordenado de problemas en la tierra? ¿Y no son sus días como los días de un siervo trabajando para el pago?
2 As a servant panteth for the shade, And as a hireling looketh for his wages,
Como un sirviente que desea las sombras de la noche, y un obrero buscando su pago.
3 So am I made to possess months of affliction, And wearisome nights are appointed for me.
Así que tengo para mi herencia meses de dolor sin ningún propósito, y me dan noches de cansancio.
4 If I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? And I am full of restlessness until the dawning of the day.
Cuando voy a mi cama, digo: ¿Cuándo será la hora de levantarme? pero la noche es larga, y estoy cambiando de lado a lado hasta la luz de la mañana.
5 My flesh is clothed with worms, and clods of dust; My skin is broken and become loathsome.
Mi carne está cubierta de gusanos y; mi piel se endurece y luego se agrieta y supura de nuevo.
6 My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle; They pass away without hope.
Mis días van más rápido que el hilo del trabajador de la tela, y terminan sin esperanza.
7 O remember that my life is a breath; That mine eye shall no more see good!
Oh, ten en cuenta que mi vida es un soplo: mi ojo nunca volverá a ver lo bueno.
8 The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no more; Thine eyes shall look for me, but I shall not be.
El ojo del que me ve ya no me verá más: tus ojos estarán sobre mí, y dejaré de ser.
9 As the cloud dissolveth and wasteth away, So he that goeth down to the grave shall arise no more; (Sheol h7585)
Una nube que pasa y se desvanece y se va; así es el que desciende al inframundo no vuelve a subir. (Sheol h7585)
10 No more shall he return to his house, And his dwelling-place shall know him no more.
Él no regresará a su casa, y su lugar no tendrá más conocimiento de él.
11 Therefore I will not restrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
Por eso no callaré la boca; Dejaré que las palabras salgan de ella en el dolor de mi espíritu, mi alma hará un clamor amargo.
12 Am I a sea, or a sea-monster, That thou settest a watch over me?
¿Soy una bestia de mar, que me pusiste a vigilar?
13 When I say, My bed shall relieve me, My couch shall ease my complaint,
Cuando digo: En mi cama tendré consuelo, allí descansaré de mi enfermedad;
14 Then thou scarest me with dreams, And terrifiest me with visions;
Entonces me envías sueños y visiones de miedo;
15 So that my soul chooseth strangling, Yea, death, rather than these my bones.
Mi alma escoge la asfixia, prefiero la muerte. que a está vida.
16 I am wasting away; I shall not live alway: Let me alone, for my days are a vapor!
No tengo deseos de vivir, ¡no viviría para siempre! Aléjate de mí, porque mis días son como un aliento.
17 What is man, that thou shouldst make great account him, And fix thy mind upon him?—
¿Qué es el hombre, que lo has hecho grande, y que tu atención está fija en él,
18 That thou shouldst visit him every morning, And prove him every moment?
¿Y que tu mano está sobre él cada mañana, y que lo estás poniendo a prueba cada minuto?
19 How long ere thou wilt look away from me, And let me alone, till I have time to breathe?
¿Cuánto tiempo pasará antes de que tus ojos se aparten de mí, para que pueda tener un minuto de espacio para respirar?
20 If I have sinned, what have I done to thee, O thou watcher of men! Why hast thou set me up as thy mark, So that I have become a burden to myself?
Si he hecho algo malo, ¿qué te he hecho a ti, oh guardián de los hombres? ¿Por qué me has hecho un blanco para tus golpes, de modo que soy una carga para mi mismo?
21 And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, And take away mine iniquity? For soon shall I sleep in the dust; And, though thou seek me diligently, I shall not be.
¿Y por qué no quitas mi pecado, y dejas que mi maldad termine? porque ahora voy al polvo, y me buscará con cuidado, pero ya no existiré.
