Job 5
1 Call now, see if any will answer thee! And to which of the holy ones wilt thou look?
വിളിച്ചുനോക്കുക; ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നവനുണ്ടോ? നീ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരിൽ ആരെ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കും?
2 Verily grief destroyeth the fool, And wrath consumeth the weak man.
നീരസം ഭോഷനെ കൊല്ലുന്നു; ഈൎഷ്യ മൂഢനെ ഹിംസിക്കുന്നു.
3 I have seen an impious man taking root, But soon I cursed his habitation.
മൂഢൻ വേരൂന്നുന്നതു ഞാൻ കണ്ടു ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പാൎപ്പിടത്തെ ശപിച്ചു.
4 His children are far from safety; They are oppressed at the gate, and there is none to deliver them.
അവന്റെ മക്കൾ രക്ഷയോടകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ രക്ഷകനില്ലാതെ വാതില്ക്കൽവെച്ചു തകൎന്നുപോകുന്നു.
5 His harvest the hungry devour, Carrying it even through the thorns; And a snare gapeth after his substance.
അവന്റെ വിളവു വിശപ്പുള്ളവൻ തിന്നുകളയും; മുള്ളുകളിൽനിന്നും അതിനെ പറിച്ചെടുക്കും; അവരുടെ സമ്പത്തു ദാഹമുള്ളവർ കപ്പിക്കളയും.
6 For affliction cometh not from the dust, Nor doth trouble spring up from the ground;
അനൎത്ഥം ഉത്ഭവിക്കുന്നതു പൂഴിയിൽനിന്നല്ല; കഷ്ടത മുളെക്കുന്നതു നിലത്തുനിന്നുമല്ല;
7 Behold, man is born to trouble, As the sparks fly upward.
തീപ്പൊരി ഉയരെ പറക്കുംപോലെ മനുഷ്യൻ കഷ്ടതെക്കായി ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
8 I would look to God, And to God would I commit my cause,
ഞാനോ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ കാൎയ്യം ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽ ഏല്പിക്കുമായിരുന്നു;
9 Who doeth great things and unsearchable; Yea, marvellous things without number;
അവൻ, ആരാഞ്ഞുകൂടാത്ത വങ്കാൎയ്യങ്ങളും അസംഖ്യമായ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
10 Who giveth rain upon the earth, And sendeth water upon the fields;
അവൻ ഭൂതലത്തിൽ മഴപെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; വയലുകളിലേക്കു വെള്ളം വിടുന്നു.
11 Who placeth the lowly in high places, And restoreth the afflicted to prosperity;
അവൻ താണവരെ ഉയൎത്തുന്നു; ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നവരെ രക്ഷയിലേക്കു കയറ്റുന്നു.
12 Who disappointeth the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot perform their enterprises;
അവൻ ഉപായികളുടെ സൂത്രങ്ങളെ അബദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ കൈകൾ കാൎയ്യം സാധിപ്പിക്കയുമില്ല.
13 Who taketh the wise in their own craftiness, And bringeth to nought the counsel of the artful.
അവൻ ജ്ഞാനികളെ അവരുടെ കൌശലത്തിൽ പിടിക്കുന്നു; വക്രബുദ്ധികളുടെ ആലോചന മറിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.
14 They meet with darkness in the daytime; They grope at noon as if it were night.
പകൽസമയത്തു അവൎക്കു ഇരുൾ നേരിടുന്നു; ഉച്ചസമയത്തു അവർ രാത്രിയിലെന്നപോലെ തപ്പിനടക്കുന്നു.
15 So he saveth the persecuted from their mouth; The oppressed from the hand of the mighty.
അവൻ ദരിദ്രനെ അവരുടെ വായെന്ന വാളിങ്കൽനിന്നും ബലവാന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
16 So the poor hath hope, And iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
അങ്ങനെ എളിയവന്നു പ്രത്യാശയുണ്ടു; നീതികെട്ടവനോ വായ്പൊത്തുന്നു.
17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth; Therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty.
ദൈവം ശാസിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ; സൎവ്വശക്തന്റെ ശിക്ഷ നീ നിരസിക്കരുതു.
18 For he bruiseth, and bindeth up; He woundeth, and his hands make whole.
അവൻ മുറിവേല്പിക്കയും മുറി കെട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവൻ ചതെക്കയും തൃക്കൈ പൊറുപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
19 In six troubles will he deliver thee; Yea, in seven shall no evil touch thee.
ആറു കഷ്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു അവൻ നിന്നെ വിടുവിക്കും; ഏഴാമത്തേതിലും തിന്മ നിന്നെ തൊടുകയില്ല.
20 In famine he will redeem thee from death, And in war from the power of the sword.
ക്ഷാമകാലത്തു അവൻ നിന്നെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നും യുദ്ധത്തിൽ വാളിന്റെ വെട്ടിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിക്കും.
21 Thou shalt be safe from the scourge of the tongue, And shalt not be afraid of destruction, when it cometh.
നാവെന്ന ചമ്മട്ടിക്കു നീ ഗുപ്തനാകും; നാശം വരുമ്പോൾ നീ ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല.
22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh, And of the wild beasts of the land shalt thou not be afraid.
നാശവും ക്ഷാമവും കണ്ടു നീ ചിരിക്കും; കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളെ നീ പേടിക്കയില്ല.
23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field; Yea, the beasts of the forest shall be at peace with thee.
വയലിലെ കല്ലുകളോടു നിനക്കു സഖ്യതയുണ്ടാകും; കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടു ഇണങ്ങിയിരിക്കും.
24 Thou shalt find that thy tent is in peace; Thou shalt visit thy dwelling, and not be disappointed.
നിന്റെ കൂടാരം നിൎഭയം എന്നു നീ അറിയും; നിന്റെ പാൎപ്പിടം നീ പരിശോധിക്കും, ഒന്നും കാണാതെയിരിക്കയില്ല.
25 Thou shalt see thy descendants numerous, And thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
നിന്റെ സന്താനം അസംഖ്യമെന്നും നിന്റെ പ്രജ നിലത്തെ പുല്ലുപോലെയെന്നും നീ അറിയും.
26 Thou shalt come to thy grave in full age, As a shock of corn gathered in its season.
തക്ക സമയത്തു കറ്റക്കൂമ്പാരം അടുക്കിവെക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ പൂൎണ്ണവാൎദ്ധക്യത്തിൽ കല്ലറയിൽ കടക്കും.
27 Lo! this we have searched out; so it is: Hear it, and lay it up in thy mind!
ഞങ്ങൾ അതു ആരാഞ്ഞുനോക്കി, അതു അങ്ങനെതന്നേ ആകുന്നു; നീ അതു കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊൾക.
