Job 38
1 Then spake Jehovah to Job out of the whirlwind, and said:
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିବାୟୁ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଆୟୁବକୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇ କହିଲେ,
2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
“ଏ କିଏ ଯେ, ଜ୍ଞାନରହିତ କଥା ଦ୍ୱାରା ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାକୁ ଅନ୍ଧକାରମୟ କରୁଅଛି?
3 Gird up thy loins like a man! I will ask thee, and answer thou me!
ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବୀର ପରି ଆପଣା କଟି ବାନ୍ଧ, କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ କରିବା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ବୁଝାଇ ଦିଅ।
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding!
ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପୃଥିବୀର ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲୁ, ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେଉଁଠାରେ ଥିଲ? ବୁଦ୍ଧି ଥିଲେ, ବୁଝାଇ ଦିଅ।
5 Who fixed its dimensions, that thou shouldst know it! Or who stretched out the line upon it?
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଜାଣ, କିଏ ତହିଁର ପରିମାଣ ନିରୂପଣ କଲା? ଅବା କିଏ ତହିଁ ଉପରେ ପରିମାପକ ରଜ୍ଜୁ ପ୍ରସାରିଲା?
6 Upon what were its foundations fixed? And who laid its corner-stone,
କାହା ଉପରେ ତହିଁର ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ଦୃଢ଼ୀକୃତ ହେଲା? ଅବା ପ୍ରଭାତୀୟ ନକ୍ଷତ୍ରଗଣ ଏକ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଗାନ କରିବା ବେଳେ
7 When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଦୂତଗଣ ଆନନ୍ଦରେ ଜୟଧ୍ୱନି କରିବା ବେଳେ କିଏ ତହିଁର କୋଣ-ପ୍ରସ୍ତର ବସାଇଲା?
8 And who shut up the sea with doors, When it burst forth as from the womb?
ଅବା ଯେତେବେଳେ ଗର୍ଭରୁ ନିର୍ଗତ ହେବା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ସମୁଦ୍ର ବାହାରିଲା, ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ମେଘକୁ ତହିଁର ବସ୍ତ୍ର ସ୍ୱରୂପ
9 When I made the clouds its mantle, And thick darkness its swaddling-band;
ଓ ନିବିଡ଼ ଅନ୍ଧକାରକୁ ତହିଁର ଗୁଡ଼ାଇବା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ସ୍ୱରୂପ କଲୁ,
10 When I appointed for it my bound, And fixed for it bars and doors;
ପୁଣି ତହିଁ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ବିଧି ନିରୂପଣ କରି ଅର୍ଗଳ ଓ କବାଟ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲୁ,
11 And said, Thus far shalt thou come, and no farther, And here shall thy proud waves be stayed!
‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆସିବ, ମାତ୍ର ଆଉ ବଢ଼ିବ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଏହିଠାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗର୍ବିତ ତରଙ୍ଗ ନିବାରିତ ହେବ ବୋଲି କହିଲୁ; ସେତେବେଳେ କିଏ କବାଟ ଦେଇ ସମୁଦ୍ରକୁ ରୁଦ୍ଧ କଲା?’
12 Hast thou, in thy life, given charge to the morning, Or caused the day-spring to know its place,
ଯେପରି ପ୍ରଭାତ ପୃଥିବୀର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଅବଲମ୍ବନ କରିବ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ ପୃଥିବୀରୁ ଝଡ଼ି ପଡ଼ିବେ;
13 That it should lay hold of the ends of the earth, And shake the wicked out of it?
ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଆପଣା ଦିନର ଆରମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ପ୍ରଭାତକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଉଅଛ ଓ ଅରୁଣକୁ ତହିଁର ଉଦୟ ସ୍ଥାନ ଜଣାଇଅଛ?
14 It is changed as clay by the seal; And all things stand forth as in rich apparel.
ମୋହରାଙ୍କିତ ମୃତ୍ତିକା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ତାହା ରୂପାନ୍ତରିତ ହୁଏ; ଓ ସକଳ ପଦାର୍ଥ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଦେଖାଯାଏ;
15 But from the wicked their light is withheld, And the high-raised arm is broken.
ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦୀପ୍ତି ନିବାରିତ ହୁଏ ଓ ଉଚ୍ଚ ବାହୁ ଭଗ୍ନ ହୁଏ।
16 Hast thou visited the springs of the sea, And walked through the recesses of the deep?
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ସମୁଦ୍ରର ଝର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିଅଛ? ଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ବାରିଧିର ଗୁପ୍ତସ୍ଥଳୀମାନଙ୍କରେ ଗତାୟାତ କରିଅଛ?
17 Have the gates of death been disclosed to thee, And hast thou seen the gates of the shadow of death?
ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ କି ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ଦ୍ୱାରସବୁ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଅଛି? ଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁଚ୍ଛାୟାର ଦ୍ୱାରସବୁ ଦେଖିଅଛ?
18 Hast thou surveyed the breadth of the earth? Declare, if thou knowest it all!
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ପୃଥିବୀର ବିସ୍ତୃତି ବୁଝିଅଛ? ଏସବୁ ଯଦି ଜାଣ, ପ୍ରକାଶ କର।
19 Where is the way to the abode of light? And darkness—where is its dwelling-place?
ଦୀପ୍ତିର ବାସସ୍ଥାନକୁ ପଥ କାହିଁ? ଓ ଅନ୍ଧକାରର ସ୍ଥାନ କେଉଁଠାରେ?
20 That thou shouldst lead it to its boundary, And that thou shouldst know the paths to its mansion!
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ତହିଁର ସୀମାକୁ ତାହାକୁ ନେଇପାର? ଓ ତହିଁର ଗୃହ-ପଥ କି ଚିହ୍ନିପାର?
21 Surely thou knowest; for thou wast then born! And the number of thy years is great!
ସନ୍ଦେହ ନାହିଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣ, କାରଣ ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜନ୍ମ ହୋଇଥିଲ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦିନର ସଂଖ୍ୟା ବହୁତ!
22 Hast thou visited the storehouses of the snow, Or seen the treasuries of the hail,
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ହିମ ଭଣ୍ଡାରରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିଅଛ? ଅବା ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଙ୍କଟ କାଳ ଓ ସଂଗ୍ରାମ ଓ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଦିନ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯେଉଁ ଶିଳାବୃଷ୍ଟି ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରିଅଛୁ,
23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, —Against the day of battle and war?
ତହିଁର ଭଣ୍ଡାର କି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦେଖିଅଛ?
24 What is the way to where light is distributed, And the east wind spread abroad upon the earth?
କେଉଁ ପଥରେ ଦୀପ୍ତି ବିଭକ୍ତ ହୁଏ, ଅବା ପୂର୍ବୀୟ ବାୟୁ ପୃଥିବୀରେ ବ୍ୟାପ୍ତ ହୁଏ?
25 Who hath prepared channels for the rain, And a path for the thunder-flash,
ଜଳପ୍ଳାବନ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରଣାଳୀ ଓ ମେଘଗର୍ଜ୍ଜନର ବିଜୁଳି ନିମନ୍ତେ ପଥ କାଟି
26 To give rain to the land without an inhabitant, To the wilderness wherein is no man;
କିଏ ପୃଥିବୀର ନିର୍ଜନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଓ ନରଶୂନ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ବର୍ଷାଇବାକୁ,
27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground, And cause the tender herb to spring forth?
ମରୁଭୂମି ଓ ଶୁଷ୍କସ୍ଥାନ ତୃପ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ଓ କୋମଳ ତୃଣ ଅଙ୍କୁରିତ ହେବାକୁ ଦିଅନ୍ତି?
28 Hath the rain a father? Or who hath begotten the drops of the dew?
ବୃଷ୍ଟିର କି ପିତା ଅଛି? ଅବା କିଏ ଶିଶିର ବିନ୍ଦୁସବୁ ଜାତ କରିଅଛି?
29 Out of whose womb came the ice? And who hath gendered the hoar-frost of heaven?
କାହାର ଗର୍ଭରୁ ହିମାନୀ ନିର୍ଗତ ହୋଇଅଛି? ଓ କିଏ ଆକାଶର ତୁଷାରକୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଇଅଛି?
30 The waters are hid as under stone, And the face of the deep becometh solid.
ଜଳରାଶି ପ୍ରସ୍ତରାଚ୍ଛାଦିତ ହେଲା ପରି ହୁଏ ଓ ବାରିଧିର ଉପରଭାଗ ଜମାଟ ହୁଏ।
31 Canst thou fasten the bands of the Pleiades, Or loosen the chains of Orion?
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି କୃତ୍ତିକା-ନକ୍ଷତ୍ରପୁଞ୍ଜ ବାନ୍ଧିପାର? ଓ ମୃଗଶୀର୍ଷର ବନ୍ଧନ ଫିଟାଇପାର?
32 Canst thou lead forth the Signs in their season, Or guide the Bear with her sons?
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ରାଶିଗଣକୁ ସ୍ୱ ସ୍ୱ ଋତୁରେ ଚଳାଇପାର? ଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ସ୍ୱାତୀ ଓ ତହିଁର ସହଚରଗଣକୁ ପଥ ଦେଖାଇପାର?
33 Knowest thou the ordinances of the heavens? Hast thou appointed their dominion over the earth?
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳର ବିଧାନସବୁ ଜାଣ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ପୃଥିବୀରେ ତହିଁର କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିପାର?
34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, So that abundance of waters will cover thee?
ଯେପରି ଅପାର ଜଳ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଚ୍ଛନ୍ନ କରି ପାରିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ମେଘ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆପଣା ରବ ଉଠାଇପାର?
35 Canst thou send forth lightnings, so that they will go, And say to thee, “Here we are”?
ବିଜୁଳି ଯେପରି ଯିବେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିବେ, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛୁ,’ ଏଥିପାଇଁ କି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇପାର?
36 Who hath put understanding in the reins, And given intelligence to the mind?
କିଏ ଅନ୍ତରେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିଅଛି? ଅବା ମନକୁ କିଏ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ଦେଇଅଛି?
37 Who numbereth the clouds in wisdom? And who poureth out the bottles of heaven,
କିଏ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମେଘମାଳ ଗଣନା କରିପାରେ?
38 When the dust floweth into a molten mass, And the clods cleave fast together?
ଧୂଳି ରାଶୀକୃତ ହୋଇ ଟେଳା ବାନ୍ଧିବା ବେଳେ କିଏ ଆକାଶସ୍ଥ କୁମ୍ପାସବୁ ଢାଳି ଦେଇ ପାରେ?
39 Canst thou hunt prey for the lioness, Or satisfy the hunger of the young lions,
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ସିଂହୀ ପାଇଁ ଶିକାର ଖୋଜିବ? ଅବା ଯୁବା ସିଂହମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଗୁହାରେ ଶୟନ କଲା ବେଳେ ଓ ଛକି ବସିବା ପାଇଁ ଗୁପ୍ତ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଥିବା ବେଳେ
40 When they couch in their dens, And lie in wait in the thicket?
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ସେମାନଙ୍କ କ୍ଷୁଧା ନିବାରଣ କରିପାର?
41 Who provideth for the raven his food, When his young ones cry unto God, While they wander about without food?
ଡାମରା କାଉର ଛୁଆମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ରାବ କରି ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଅଭାବରେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କଲା ବେଳେ କିଏ ତାହାକୁ ଆହାର ଯୋଗାଇ ଦିଏ?
