Job 34
1 And Elihu proceeded, and said:
ಎಲೀಹು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
2 Hear my words, ye wise men! Give ear to me, ye that have knowledge!
ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೇ, ನನ್ನ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ಪಂಡಿತರೇ, ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ.
3 For the ear trieth words, As the mouth tasteth meat.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ನಾಲಿಗೆ ರುಚಿ ನೋಡುವಂತೆ, ಕಿವಿಯು ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೋಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
4 Let us examine for ourselves what is right; Let us know among ourselves what is true.
ನಾವು ಸರಿಯಾದುದನ್ನೇ ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ; ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಏನೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ನಾವೇ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ.
5 Job hath said, “I am righteous, And God refuseth me justice.
“ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೋಬನು, ‘ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
6 Though I am innocent, I am made a liar; My wound is incurable, though I am free from transgression.”
ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯವಿದ್ದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ; ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ದೇವರ ಬಾಣವು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸಲಾಗದ ಗಾಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.”
7 Where is the man like Job, Who drinketh impiety like water;
ಯೋಬನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನು ಯಾರು? ಅವನು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
8 Who goeth in company with evil-doers, And walketh with wicked men?
ಯೋಬನು ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹವಾಸ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ದುಷ್ಟಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ನಡೆದಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
9 For he hath said, “A man hath no advantage, When he delighteth himself in God.”
“ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು, ‘ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಲಾಭವಿಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.”
10 Wherefore hearken to me, ye men of understanding! Far be iniquity from God; Yea, far be injustice from the Almighty!
“ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರೇ, ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ದೇವರು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆಂಬ ಯೋಚನೆ ದೂರವಿರಲಿ. ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಎಸಗುತ್ತಾರೆಂಬ ಭಾವನೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
11 For what a man hath done he will requite him, And render to every one according to his deeds.
ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹೌದು, ದೇವರು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಅವರವರ ನಡತೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಅನುಭವಿಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
12 Surely God will not do iniquity, Nor will the Almighty pervert justice.
ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಡೊಂಕು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
13 Who hath given him the charge of the earth? Or who hath created the whole world?
ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ಸರ್ವಲೋಕವನ್ನು ದೇವರ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ಯಾರು?
14 Should he set his heart against man, Should he take back his spirit and his breath,
ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನೂ, ಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನೂ, ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮನಸ್ಸುಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ,
15 Then would all flesh expire together; Yea, man would return to the dust.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅಳಿದುಹೋಗುವರು; ಇಡೀ ಮಾನವಕುಲವು ಧೂಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವುದು.”
16 If thou hast understanding, hear this! Give ear to the voice of my words!
“ಯೋಬನೇ, ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೋ; ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು.
17 Shall he, that hateth justice, govern? Wilt thou then condemn the just and mighty One?
ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವ ದೇವರು, ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ? ನೀತಿವಂತರೂ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸುವಿಯೋ?
18 Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked; Or to princes, Ye are unrighteous?
ದೇವರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ಮೂರ್ಖ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬಲ್ಲರು. ದೇವರು ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀವು ದುಷ್ಟರು’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಬಲ್ಲರು ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?
19 How much less to him that is not partial to princes, Nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? For they are all the work of his hands.
ದೇವರು ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಖದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯ ತೋರಿಸುವರೋ? ಧನಿಕನನ್ನು ಬಡವನಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವರೋ? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೇವರ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
20 In a moment they die; yea, at midnight Do the people stagger and pass away, And the mighty are destroyed without hand.
ಜನರು ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರು ತಲ್ಲಣಗೊಂಡು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಮಾನವರ ಕೈ ಒಳಪಡದೆ ಗತಿಸಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.”
21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man; He seeth all his steps.
“ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ; ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, Where evil-doers may hide themselves.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಅಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ಗಾಢಾಂಧಕಾರವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ನೆರಳೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
23 He needeth not attend long to a man, That he may go into judgment before God;
ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗಮನ ಇಡಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಕರೆಯುವ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
24 He dasheth in pieces the mighty without inquiry, And setteth up others in their stead.
ಯಾವ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆಯೇ ದೇವರು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸಬಹುದು. ದೇವರು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ.
25 Therefore he knoweth their works, And in a night he overthroweth them, so that they are destroyed.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ದೇವರು ಅಂಥವರ ದುಷ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವರು.
26 On account of their wickedness he smiteth them, In the presence of many beholders;
ಅವರ ದುಷ್ಟತನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲರು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುವರು.
27 Because they turned away from him, And had no regard to his ways,
ಅವರು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸದೆ, ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಷ್ಟೆ.
28 And caused the cry of the poor to come before him; For he heareth the cry of the oppressed.
ಹೀಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಬಡವರ ಕೂಗನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು ದೇವರು ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರ ಕೂಗನ್ನು ಆಲೈಸಿದ್ದರು.
29 When he giveth rest, who can cause trouble? And when he hideth his face, Who can behold him?
ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ, ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು? ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಾಗಲಿ, ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ದೇವದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆಯಬಲ್ಲವರು ಯಾರು?
30 So is it with nations and individuals alike! That the wicked may no more rule, And may not be snares to the people.
ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನನು ಆಳಬಾರದು, ಯಾರೂ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉರುಲಾಗಬಾರದು, ಎಂಬುದೇ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಉದ್ದೇಶ.”
31 Surely thou shouldst say unto God, “I have received chastisement; I will no more offend;
“ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ಯಾರಾದರೂ ದೇವರಿಗೆ, ‘ನಾನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಪಾಪಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
32 What I see not, teach thou me! If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more.”
ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ಕಾಣದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿರಿ. ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪುಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೂ, ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರೆ ಸರಿ.
33 Shall he recompense according to thy mind, Because thou refusest, or because thou choosest, and not he? Speak, if thou hast knowledge!
ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಡಲು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದಾಗ, ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬಾರದೆ? ಇದನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸು, ನಾನು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು.”
34 Men of understanding, Wise men, who hear me, will say,
“ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವರೂ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸಿದ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ:
35 “Job hath spoken without knowledge, And his words are without wisdom.”
‘ಯೋಬನು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಾತಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಮಾತುಗಳು.
36 I desire that Job may be tried to the last, For answering like wicked men.
ಯೋಬನನ್ನು ಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಹಾಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
37 For he addeth impiety to his sin; He clappeth his hands among us, And multiplieth words against God.
ಯೋಬನು ತನ್ನ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆ ತಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾನೆ; ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ,’ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.”
