Job 32
1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
| آن سه دوست ایوب، دیگر به او جواب ندادند، چون ایوب بر بی‌گناهی خود پافشاری می‌کرد. |
2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram; against Job was his wrath kindled, because he accounted himself righteous rather than God.
| شخصی به نام الیهو، پسر برکئیل بوزی، از طایفهٔ رام، که شاهد این گفتگو بود خشمگین شد، زیرا ایوب نمی‌خواست قبول کند که گناهکار است و خدا به حق او را مجازات کرده است. |
3 Against his three friends also was his wrath kindled, because they had not found an answer, and yet had condemned Job.
| او از آن سه رفیق ایوب نیز خشمگین بود، چون بدون اینکه پاسخ قانع کننده‌ای برای ایوب داشته باشند، او را محکوم می‌کردند. |
4 Now Elihu had delayed to reply to Job, because they were older than himself.
| الیهو برای سخن گفتن با ایوب صبر کرده بود چون سایرین از او بزرگتر بودند. |
5 But when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled.
| اما وقتی که دید آنها دیگر جوابی ندارند، برآشفت. |
6 Then spake Elihu, the son of Barachel, the Buzite, and said: I am young, and ye are very old; Therefore I was afraid, And durst not make known to you my opinion.
| الیهو به سخن آمده چنین گفت: من جوانم و شما پیر. به همین علّت لب فرو بستم و جرأت نکردم عقیده‌ام را برای شما بیان کنم، |
7 I said, “Days should speak, And the multitude of years should teach wisdom.”
| زیرا گفته‌اند که پیران داناترند. |
8 But it is the spirit in man, Even the inspiration of the Almighty, that giveth him understanding.
| ولی حکمت و دانایی فقط بستگی به سن و سال ندارد، بلکه آن روحی که در انسان قرار دارد و نفس خدای قادر مطلق است، به انسان حکمت می‌بخشد. |
9 Great men are not always wise, Nor do the aged always understand what is right.
10 Therefore, I pray, listen to me: I also will declare my opinion.
| پس به من گوش بدهید و بگذارید عقیده‌ام را بیان کنم. |
11 Behold, I have waited for your words, I have listened to your arguments, Whilst ye searched out what to say;
| من در تمام این مدت صبر کردم و با دقت به سخنان و دلایل شما گوش دادم. هیچ‌کدام از شما نتوانستید پاسخ ایوب را بدهید و یا ثابت کنید که او گناهکار است. |
12 Yea, I have attended to you; And behold, none of you hath refuted Job, Nor answered his words.
13 Say not, then, “We have found out wisdom; God must conquer him, not man.”
| به من نگویید: «ایوب بسیار حکیم است. فقط خدا می‌تواند او را قانع کند.» |
14 He hath not directed his discourse against me, And with speeches like yours will I not answer him.
| اگر ایوب با من به مباحثه پرداخته بود، با این نوع منطق پاسخ او را نمی‌دادم! |
15 They were confounded! they answered no more! They could say nothing!
| شما حیران نشسته‌اید و هیچ جوابی ندارید. |
16 I waited, but they spake not; They stood still; they answered no more!
| آیا حال که شما سکوت کرده‌اید من هم باید همچنان صبر کنم و ساکت بمانم؟ |
17 Therefore will I answer, on my part; I also will show my opinion.
| نه، من به سهم خود جواب می‌دهم. |
18 For I am full of matter; The spirit within me constraineth me.
| حرفهای زیادی برای گفتن دارم و دیگر نمی‌توانم صبر کنم. |
19 Behold, my bosom is as wine that hath no vent; Like bottles of new wine, which are bursting.
| مانند مشکی هستم که از شراب پر شده و نزدیک ترکیدن است. |
20 I will speak, that I may be relieved; I will open my lips and answer.
| باید حرف بزنم تا راحت شوم. پس بگذارید من هم به سهم خود جواب بدهم. |
21 I will not be partial to any man's person, Nor will I flatter any man.
| من قصد ندارم از کسی طرفداری کنم و سخنان تملق‌آمیز بگویم، |
22 For I know not how to flatter; Soon would my Maker take me away.
| چون انسان چاپلوسی نیستم و گرنه خالقم مرا هلاک می‌کرد. |
