Job 32
1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
Niin ne kolme miestä lakkasivat vastaamasta Jobia, että hän piti itsensä hurskaana.
2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram; against Job was his wrath kindled, because he accounted himself righteous rather than God.
Mutta Elihu Barakelin poika Busista, Ramin sukukunnasta, vihastui Jobin päälle, että hän piti sielunsa hurskaampana Jumalaa,
3 Against his three friends also was his wrath kindled, because they had not found an answer, and yet had condemned Job.
Ja närkästyi kolmen ystävänsä päälle, ettei he mitään vastausta löytäneet, ja kuitenkin tuomitsivat Jobin.
4 Now Elihu had delayed to reply to Job, because they were older than himself.
Sillä Elihu odotti niinkauvan kuin he puhuivat Jobin kanssa, että he olivat vanhemmat häntä.
5 But when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled.
Kuin Elihu näki, ettei vastausta ollut kolmen miehen suussa, vihastui hän.
6 Then spake Elihu, the son of Barachel, the Buzite, and said: I am young, and ye are very old; Therefore I was afraid, And durst not make known to you my opinion.
Ja näin vastasi Elihu Barakelin poika Busista ja sanoi: minä olen nuori, ja te olette vanhat, sentähden minä häpesin ja pelkäsin osoittaa teille minun taitoani.
7 I said, “Days should speak, And the multitude of years should teach wisdom.”
Minä ajattelin: puhukaan vuodet, ja vanhuus osoittakoon taitonsa.
8 But it is the spirit in man, Even the inspiration of the Almighty, that giveth him understanding.
Mutta henki on ihmisessä; ja Kaikkivaltiaan henki tekee hänen ymmärtäväiseksi.
9 Great men are not always wise, Nor do the aged always understand what is right.
Suuret ei ole taitavimmat, eikä vanhat ymmärrä, mikä oikeus on.
10 Therefore, I pray, listen to me: I also will declare my opinion.
Sentähden minäkin puhun. Kuulkaat minua: minäkin osoitan tietoni.
11 Behold, I have waited for your words, I have listened to your arguments, Whilst ye searched out what to say;
Katso, minä olen odottanut teidän puhuissanne, minä olen ottanut teidän ymmärryksestänne vaarin, siihenasti että te olisitte osanneet oikeuden.
12 Yea, I have attended to you; And behold, none of you hath refuted Job, Nor answered his words.
Ja minä olen ottanut teistä vaarin; ja katso, ei ole yksikään teistä Jobia nuhdellen voittanut, eli hänen sanaansa vastata taitanut.
13 Say not, then, “We have found out wisdom; God must conquer him, not man.”
Ettette sanoisi: me olemme löytäneet taidon; että Jumala on hänen hyljännyt, ja ei yksikään muu.
14 He hath not directed his discourse against me, And with speeches like yours will I not answer him.
Sillä ei hän ole minua vastaan puhunut, enkä minä vastaa häntä niinkuin te puhuitte.
15 They were confounded! they answered no more! They could say nothing!
He pelkäävät, ja ei taida silleen mitään vastata, eikä mitään puhua.
16 I waited, but they spake not; They stood still; they answered no more!
Että minä olen odottanut, ja ei he taida mitään puhua; vaan he vaikenivat, ja ei enää vastaa mitään.
17 Therefore will I answer, on my part; I also will show my opinion.
Niin minä vastaan kuitenkin osani, ja osoitan tietoni.
18 For I am full of matter; The spirit within me constraineth me.
Sillä minä olen niin täynnä sanoja, että minun henkeni ahdistaa minun vatsaani.
19 Behold, my bosom is as wine that hath no vent; Like bottles of new wine, which are bursting.
Katso, minun vatsani on niinkuin viina, jonka henki ei avattu ole, joka uudet leilit särkee.
20 I will speak, that I may be relieved; I will open my lips and answer.
Minun täytyy puhua, että minä saisin henkeni vetää: minun täytyy avata huuleni ja vastata.
21 I will not be partial to any man's person, Nor will I flatter any man.
En minä muotoa katso, enkä ihmisen mielen perään puhu.
22 For I know not how to flatter; Soon would my Maker take me away.
Sillä en minä tiedä (jos minä niin teen), että minun Luojani tempaa äkisti minun pois.
