Job 26
1 Then Job answered and said:
A Hiob tak odpowiedział:
2 How hast thou helped the weak, And strengthened the feeble arm!
Jakże uratowałeś tego, który nie ma mocy? Jakże wybawiłeś ramię, które nie ma siły?
3 How hast thou counselled the ignorant, And revealed wisdom in fulness!
Jakże doradziłeś temu, który nie ma mądrości? Jakże dokładnie nauczyłeś tej sprawy?
4 For whom hast thou uttered these words? And whose spirit spake through thee?
Komu powiedziałeś te słowa? Czyj to duch wyszedł od ciebie?
5 Before Him the shades tremble Beneath the waters and their inhabitants.
Rzeczy martwe rodzą się pod wodami oraz ich mieszkańcy.
Piekło jest odkryte przed nim i zatracenie nie ma przykrycia. (Sheol h7585)
7 He stretcheth out the north over empty space, And hangeth the earth upon nothing.
Rozciągnął północ nad pustym miejscem [i] ziemię zawiesił na niczym.
8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, And the cloud is not rent under them.
Zawiązuje wody w swoich obłokach, a obłok nie pęka pod nimi.
9 He covereth the face of his throne, And spreadeth his clouds upon it.
Zatrzymuje widok swego tronu, rozciąga nad nim swój obłok.
10 He hath drawn a circular bound upon the waters, To the confines of light and darkness.
Wodom nakreślił granice, aż nastąpi koniec światłości i ciemności.
11 The pillars of heaven tremble And are confounded at his rebuke.
Filary niebios trzęsą się i zdumiewają się jego gromem.
12 By his power he stilleth the sea, Yea, by his wisdom he smiteth its pride.
Swoją mocą dzieli morze, a swoją roztropnością uśmierza jego nawałnicę.
13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; His hand hath formed the fleeing Serpent.
Swoim duchem przyozdobił niebiosa, a jego ręka stworzyła pokrzywionego węża.
14 Lo! these are but the borders of his works; How faint the whisper we have heard of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?
Oto tylko cząstka jego dróg, ale jakże mało o nim słyszymy! A kto pojmie grzmot jego wielkiej potęgi?
