Job 26
1 Then Job answered and said:
૧પછી અયૂબે ઉત્તર આપ્યો અને કહ્યું કે:
2 How hast thou helped the weak, And strengthened the feeble arm!
૨“સામર્થ્ય વગરનાને તમે કેવી રીતે સહાય કરી છે? અને દુર્બળ હાથને તમે કેવી રીતે બચાવ્યા છે?
3 How hast thou counselled the ignorant, And revealed wisdom in fulness!
૩અજ્ઞાનીને તમે કેવી રીતે બોધ આપ્યો? અને તમે ખરું ડહાપણ કેવું જાહેર કર્યું છે?
4 For whom hast thou uttered these words? And whose spirit spake through thee?
૪તમે કોની મદદથી આ શબ્દો બોલ્યા છો? તમને કોના આત્માએ પ્રેરણા આપી છે?”
5 Before Him the shades tremble Beneath the waters and their inhabitants.
૫બિલ્દાદે ઉત્તર આપ્યો કે, પાણી તથા તેમાં રહેનારની નીચે મરેલાઓ ભયથી ધ્રૂજે છે.
૬ઈશ્વરની સમક્ષ શેઓલ ઉઘાડું છે, અને વિનાશને કોઈ આવરણ નથી. (Sheol h7585)
7 He stretcheth out the north over empty space, And hangeth the earth upon nothing.
૭ઈશ્વર ઉત્તરને ખાલી જગ્યાએ ફેલાવે છે, અને પૃથ્વીને શૂન્યાવકાશ પર લટકાવી છે.
8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, And the cloud is not rent under them.
૮તેમણે ગાઢ વાદળામાં પાણી ભર્યું છે અને છતાં પાણીના ભારથી વાદળ ફાટતાં નથી.
9 He covereth the face of his throne, And spreadeth his clouds upon it.
૯ઈશ્વર ચંદ્રના મુખને ઢાંકી દે છે. તે તેના પર વાદળાંઓ પાથરી અને સંતાડી દે છે.
10 He hath drawn a circular bound upon the waters, To the confines of light and darkness.
૧૦તેમણે પાણીની સપાટી પર હદ ઠરાવી છે, પ્રકાશ તથા અંધકારની સરહદો પણ નક્કી કરી છે.
11 The pillars of heaven tremble And are confounded at his rebuke.
૧૧તેમની ધમકીથી આકાશના સ્થંભો કાંપે છે અને વિસ્મિત થાય છે.
12 By his power he stilleth the sea, Yea, by his wisdom he smiteth its pride.
૧૨તે પોતાની શક્તિથી સમુદ્રને શાંત કરે છે. પોતાના ડહાપણથી તે અજગરને વીંધે છે.
13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; His hand hath formed the fleeing Serpent.
૧૩તેમના શ્વાસે આકાશને નિર્મળ કર્યું છે; તેમના હાથે જલદ સર્પને વીંધ્યો છે.
14 Lo! these are but the borders of his works; How faint the whisper we have heard of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?
૧૪જુઓ, આ તો માત્ર તેમના માર્ગનો ઇશારો છે; આપણે તેમનો ઝીણો ગણગણાટ સાંભળીએ છીએ ખરા? પણ તેમના પરિપૂર્ણ પરાક્રમની ગર્જનાને કોણ સમજી શકે?”
