Job 25

1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:

Då tok Bildad frå Suah til ords og sagde:

2 Dominion and fear are with Him; He maintaineth peace in his high places.

«Hjå honom magt og rædsla finst; han i sin himmel freden skaper.

3 Is there any numbering of his hosts? And upon whom doth not his light arise?

Kven veit talet på hans herar? Kven yverstrålar ei hans ljos?

4 How then can man be righteous before? Or how can he be pure that is born of woman?

Kor kann ein mann ha rett mot Gud? Er vel ein kvinnefødd uskuldig?

5 Behold, even the moon, it shineth not; And the stars are not pure in his sight,

Sjå, månen er’kje klår ein gong, og stjernon’ er’kje reine for han.

6 How much less, man, a worm; And the son of man, a reptile!

Enn mannen då, den vesle krypen? Menneskjebarnet, denne makk?»
