< Job 24 >
1 Why are not times treasured up by the Almighty? And why do not they who know him see his days?
“Chifukwa chiyani Wamphamvuzonse sayikiratu nthawi yoti aweruze? Chifukwa chiyani iwo amene amadziwa Iyeyo amayembekezera pachabe masiku oterewa?
2 They remove landmarks; They take away flocks by violence, and pasture them.
Anthu amasuntha miyala ya mʼmalire, kuti akuze dziko lawo; amadyetsa ziweto zimene aba.
3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, And take the widow's ox for a pledge.
Amalanda abulu a ana amasiye ndipo amatenganso ngʼombe ya mkazi wamasiye ngati chikole.
4 They push the needy from the way; All the poor of the land are forced to hide themselves.
Amachotsa mʼmisewu anthu osauka, ndipo amathamangitsa amphawi onse mʼdziko.
5 Behold, like wild asses of the desert, they go forth to their work; They search for prey; The wilderness supplieth them food for their children.
Amphawiwo amakhala ngati mbidzi mʼchipululu, amayendayenda kufuna chakudya; dziko lowuma limapereka chakudya cha ana awo.
6 In the fields they reap the harvest, And gather the vintage of the oppressor.
Iwo amakolola za mʼminda ya eni ake, ndipo amakunkha mphesa mʼminda ya anthu oyipa.
7 They lodge naked, without clothing, And without covering from the cold.
Amagona maliseche usiku wonse kusowa zovala; pa nthawi yozizira amasowa chofunda.
8 They are drenched with the mountain showers, And embrace the rock for want of shelter.
Amavumbwa ndi mvula ya mʼmapiri ndipo amakangamira ku matanthwe kusowa pobisalapo.
9 The fatherless are torn from the breast, And the garment of the needy is taken for a pledge.
Amatsomphola mwana wamasiye wa ku bere; ndipo amagwira mwana wakhanda wa mʼmphawi kuti akhale chikole.
10 They go naked, without clothing, And carry the sheaf hungry.
Amphawi amangoyenda maliseche kusowa zovala; amasenza mitolo ya tirigu, koma nʼkumagonabe ndi njala.
11 They make oil within their walls, And tread the wine-vat, yet suffer thirst.
Iwo amayenga mafuta a olivi mʼminda ya anthu oyipa; amapsinya mphesa, koma nʼkumamvabe ludzu.
12 From anguish the dying groan, And the wounded cry aloud; And God regardeth not their prayer!
Kubuwula kwa anthu amene akufa kumamveka kuchokera mu mzinda, anthu ovulala akulirira chithandizo. Koma Mulungu sakuyimba mlandu wina aliyense.
13 Others hate the light; They know not its ways, And abide not in its paths.
“Pali ena amene amakana kuwala, amene safuna kuyenda mʼkuwalako kapena kukhala mʼnjira zake.
14 With the light ariseth the murderer; He killeth the poor and needy; In the night he is as a thief.
Dzuwa likalowa, wopha anzake amadzuka ndipo amakapha osauka ndi amphawi; nthawi ya usiku iye amasanduka mbala.
15 The eye of the adulterer watcheth for the twilight; He saith, “No eye will see me,” And putteth a mask upon his face.
Munthu wachigololo amadikira chisisira; iyeyo amaganiza kuti, ‘Palibe amene akundiona,’ ndipo amaphimba nkhope yake.
16 In the dark they break into houses; In the daytime they shut themselves up; They are strangers to the light.
Mbala zimathyola nyumba usiku, koma masana zimadzitsekera; izo zimathawa kuwala.
17 The morning is to them the very shadow of death; They are familiar with the terrors of the shadow of death.
Pakuti kwa onsewa mdima wandiweyani ndiye kuti kwawachera. Iwo amachita ubale ndi zoopsa za mdima.
18 Light are they on the face of the waters; They have an accursed portion in the earth; They come not near the vineyards.
“Komatu iwowo ndi thovu loyandama pa madzi; minda yawo ndi yotembereredwa pa dzikolo kotero kuti palibe amene amapita ku minda ya mpesa.
19 As drought and heat consume the snow waters, So doth the grave the wicked. (Sheol )
Monga momwe kutentha ndi chilala zimasungunulira madzi owundana ndi momwemonso mmene manda amachotsera omwe achimwa. (Sheol )
20 His own mother forgetteth him; The worm feedeth sweetly on him; He is no more remembered, And iniquity is broken like a tree.
Mayi wowabereka amawayiwala, mphutsi zimasangalala powadya; anthu oyipa sakumbukiridwanso koma amathyoka ngati mtengo.
21 He oppresseth the barren, that hath not borne, And doeth not good to the widow.
Amachitira nkhanza mayi wosabala ndi mayi amene alibe mwana, ndipo sakomera mtima mkazi wamasiye.
22 He taketh away the mighty by his power; He riseth up, and no one is sure of life.
Koma Mulungu amawononga munthu wamphamvu mwa mphamvu zake; ngakhale munthuyo atakhazikika, alibe chiyembekezo cha moyo wake.
23 God giveth them security, so that they are confident; His eyes are upon their ways.
Mulungu atha kuwalola kuti akhale mosatekeseka, koma amakhala akupenyetsetsa njira zawo.
24 They are exalted; —in a little while they are gone! They are brought low, and die, like all others; And like the topmost ears of corn are they cut off.
Kwa kanthawi kochepa oyipa amakwezedwa ndipo kenaka saonekanso; amatsitsidwa ndipo amachotsedwa monga ena onse; amadulidwa ngati ngala za tirigu.
25 If it be not so, who will confute me, And show my discourse to be worthless?
“Ngati zimenezi sizoona, ndani angaonetse kuti ndine wabodza ndi kusandutsa mawu anga kukhala wopanda pake?”
