Job 20
1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said:
அதற்கு நாகமாத்தியனான சோப்பார் மறுமொழியாக சொன்னது:
2 For this do my thoughts lead me to reply, And for this is my ardor within me.
“நான் மிகவும் கலக்கம் அடைந்திருக்கிறபடியால், என் சிந்தனை மறுமொழிக்கூற என்னைத் தூண்டுகிறது.
3 I have heard my shameful rebuke; And the spirit, from my understanding, answereth for me.
என்னை அவமதிக்கும் கண்டனத்தை நான் கேட்கிறேன்; என் உள்ளுணர்வு என்னைப் பதிலளிக்கும்படி ஏவுகின்றது.
4 Knowest thou not, that from the days of old, From the time when man was placed upon the earth,
“மனிதன் பூமியில் தோன்றிய பூர்வகாலத்திலிருந்து, எவ்வாறு இருந்தது என்பது உனக்கு நிச்சயமாய்த் தெரியும்:
5 The triumphing of the wicked hath been short, And the joy of the impious but for a moment?
கொடியவர்களின் சந்தோஷம் குறுகியகாலம், இறைவனை மறுதலிக்கிறவனின் மகிழ்ச்சி நொடிப்பொழுது.
6 Though his greatness mount up to the heavens, And his head reach to the clouds,
இறைவனற்றவனின் பெருமை வானங்களை எட்டினாலும், அவனுடைய தலை மேகங்களைத் தொட்டாலும்,
7 Yet shall he perish for ever, and be mingled with dust; They who saw him shall say, Where is he?
அவன் உரம் போல அழிந்தே போவான்; அவனை முன்பு கண்டவர்கள், ‘அவன் எங்கே?’ என்று கேட்பார்கள்.
8 He shall flee away like a dream, and shall not be found; Yea, he shall disappear like a vision of the nigh.
ஒரு கனவைப்போல் அவன் பறந்துபோய், இனி ஒருபோதும் காணப்படமாட்டான்; இரவில் தோன்றும் தரிசனத்தைப்போல் மறைந்துபோகிறான்.
9 The eye also which saw him shall see him no more, And his dwelling-place shall never more behold him.
அவனைப் பார்த்த கண் மீண்டும் அவனைப் பார்க்காது; அவனுடைய இருப்பிடமும் இனி அவனைக் காணாது.
10 His sons shall seek the favor of the poor, And their hands shall give back his wealth.
அவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் ஏழைகளின் தயவை நாடுவார்கள்; அவனுடைய கைகள் அவனுடைய செல்வத்தைத் திருப்பிக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
11 His bones are full of his youth, But they shall lie down with him in the dust.
அவனுடைய எலும்புகளில் நிரம்பியிருக்கிற இளமையின் வலிமை, அவனுடன் தூசியில் கிடக்கும்.
12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, Though he hide it under his tongue,
“தீமை இறைவனற்றவனின் வாயில் இனிமையாயிருந்தாலும், அவன் அதைத் தன் நாவின்கீழ் மறைத்து வைக்கிறான்.
13 Though he cherish it, and will not part with it, And keep it fast in his mouth,
அதை விட்டுவிட மனமில்லாமல் தன் வாயில் வைத்திருக்கிறான்.
14 Yet his meat shall be changed within him, And become to him the poison of asps.
ஆனாலும் அவனுடைய உணவு அவன் வயிற்றுக்குள் புளிப்பாக மாறி, அவனுக்குள் பாம்பின் விஷம் போலாகிவிடும்.
15 He hath glutted himself with riches, And he shall throw them up again; Yea, God shall cast them out of his body.
அவன் தான் விழுங்கிய செல்வத்தை வெளியே துப்பிவிடுவான்; இறைவன் அவனுடைய வயிற்றிலிருந்து அதை வெளியேறும்படி செய்வார்.
16 He shall suck the poison of asps; The tongue of the viper shall destroy him.
அவன் பாம்புகளிலிருந்து நஞ்சை உறிஞ்சுவான்; விரியன் பாம்பின் நச்சு அவனைக் கொன்றுவிடும்.
17 He shall never see the flowing streams, And the rivers of honey and milk.
தேனும் வெண்ணெயும் ஓடும் ஆறுகளிலும், நீரோடைகளிலும் அவன் இன்பம் காணமாட்டான்.
18 The fruits of his toil he shall give back, and shall not enjoy them: It is substance to be restored, and he shall not rejoice therein.
அவன் தான் கஷ்டப்பட்டு உழைத்ததை உண்ணாமலே திருப்பிக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்; அவன் தன் வியாபாரத்தின் இலாபத்தையும் அனுபவிப்பதில்லை.
19 Because he hath oppressed and abandoned the poor, And seized upon the house which he did not build;
அவன் ஏழைகளை ஒடுக்கி, அநாதைகளாக்கினான்; தான் கட்டாத வீடுகளைக் கைப்பற்றிக்கொண்டான்.
20 Because he knew no rest in his bosom, He shall not save that in which he delighteth.
“நிச்சயமாகவே இறைவனற்றவனுடைய ஆசைக்கு அளவேயில்லை; ஆதலால், தான் இச்சித்த பொக்கிஷங்களில் எதுவும் மீந்துவதில்லை.
21 Because nothing escaped his greediness, His prosperity shall not endure.
அவன் விழுங்குவதற்கும் ஒன்றும் மீதமில்லை; அவனுடைய செழிப்பும் நிலைக்காது.
22 In the fulness of his abundance he shall be brought low; Every hand of the wretched shall come upon him.
அவனுடைய நிறைவின் மத்தியில் துயரம் அவனை மேற்கொள்ளும்; அவலத்தின் கொடுமை முழுமையாய் அவன்மேல் வரும்.
23 He shall, indeed, have wherewith to fill himself: God shall send upon him the fury of his anger, And rain it down upon him for his food.
அவன் வயிறு நிரம்பும்போது, இறைவன் தமது கடுங்கோபத்தை அவன்மேல் வரப்பண்ணி, அடிமேல் அடியாக அவனை வாதிப்பார்.
24 If he fleeth from the iron weapon, The bow of brass shall pierce him through.
அவன் இரும்பு ஆயுதத்திற்குத் தப்பி ஓடினாலும், வெண்கல முனையுள்ள அம்பு அவனைக் குத்துகிறது.
25 He draweth the arrow, and it cometh forth from his body; Yea, the glittering steel cometh out of his gall. Terrors are upon him;
அவன் அதைத் தன் முதுகிலிருந்தும், அதின் மினுங்கும் நுனியைத் தன் ஈரலிலிருந்தும் இழுத்தெடுக்கிறான். பயங்கரங்கள் அவனை ஆட்கொள்கின்றன;
26 Calamity of every kind is treasured up for him. A fire not blown shall consume him; It shall consume whatever is left in his tent.
அவனுடைய பொக்கிஷங்கள் காரிருளில் கிடக்கும். அணையாத நெருப்பு அவனைச் சுட்டெரித்து, அவனுடைய கூடாரத்தில் மீதியாயிருப்பதையும் விழுங்கிப்போடும்.
27 The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, And the earth shall rise up against him.
வானங்கள் அவன் குற்றங்களை வெளிப்படுத்தும்; பூமி அவனுக்கெதிராக எழும்பும்.
28 The substance of his house shall disappear; It shall flow away in the day of His wrath.
அவனுடைய வீட்டின் செல்வம் போய்விடும்; இறைவனுடைய கோபத்தின் நாளிலே, அதை வெள்ளம் அள்ளிக்கொண்டுபோகும்.
29 Such is the portion of the wicked man from God, And the inheritance appointed for him by the Almighty.
கொடியவர்களுக்கு இறைவன் நியமித்த பலன் இதுவே; இறைவனால் அவர்களுக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்ட பங்கும் இதுவே.”
