Job 14
1 Man, that is born of woman, Is of few days, and full of trouble.
“ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅಲ್ಪಾಯುಷ್ಯನೂ, ಕಷ್ಟಸಂಕಟಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
2 He cometh forth as a flower, and is cut down; He fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
ಅವನು ಹೂವಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಅರಳಿ ಬಾಡುವನು; ಅವನು ನೆರಳಿನಂತೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
3 And dost thou fix thine eyes upon such a one? And dost thou bring me into judgment with thee?
ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಇಂಥವನ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟೀದೀರಲ್ಲಾ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರೋ?
4 Who can produce a clean thing from an unclean? Not one.
ಅಶುದ್ಧತೆಯಿಂದ ಶುದ್ಧವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ತರುವವನು ಯಾರು? ಯಾರೂ ತರಲಾರರು!
5 Seeing that his days are determined, And the number of his months, with thee, And that thou hast appointed him bounds which he cannot pass,
ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ದಿನಗಳು ಇಷ್ಟೇ ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆ; ಅವನ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ದೇವರೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ; ಅವನು ದಾಟಲಾರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮೇರೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
6 O turn thine eyes from him, and let him rest, That he may enjoy, as a hireling, his day!
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಪಡೆಯಲೆಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿಬಿಡಿರಿ; ಅವನು ಕೂಲಿಯವನಿಗಿರುವಷ್ಟು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯಲಿ.
7 For there is hope for a tree, If it be cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender branches will not fail;
“ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹ ಒಂದು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇದೆ: ಅದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಮರವನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ಹಾಕಿದರೂ ತಾನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಚಿಗುರುವೆನೆಂಬ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಅದಕ್ಕಿದೆ; ಚಿಗುರುವುದನ್ನು ಆ ಮರವು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
8 Though its root may have grown old in the earth, And though its trunk be dead upon the ground,
ಅದರ ಬೇರು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಳೆಯದಾದರೂ, ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಬುಡ ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ,
9 Through the scent of water it will bud, And put forth boughs, like a young plant.
ನೀರಿನ ವಾಸನೆಯಿಂದ ಅದು ಮೊಳೆತು, ಗಿಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದು ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವುದು.
10 But man dieth, and he is gone! Man expireth, and where is he?
ಆದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸತ್ತು ಬಿದ್ದಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನು ಕೊನೆಯುಸಿರೆಳೆದಾಗ ಅವನ ಅಂತ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
11 The waters fail from the lake; And the stream wasteth and drieth up;
ಸರೋವರದ ನೀರು ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಬರಗಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನದಿಗಳು ಬತ್ತಿಹೋಗುವಂತೆಯೂ,
12 So man lieth down, and riseth not; Till the heavens be no more, he shall not awake, Nor be roused from his sleep.
ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸತ್ತು ಮಲಗಿದರೆ ಏಳುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಆಕಾಶಗಳು ಅಳಿದು ಹೋಗುವವರೆಗೆ ಅವನು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿದ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲಾಗುವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
13 O that thou wouldst hide me in the under-world! That thou wouldst conceal me till thy wrath be past! That thou wouldst appoint me a time, and then remember me! (Sheol h7585)
“ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಮುಗಿಯುವವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿರಿ! ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅನಂತರ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಲೇಸು! (Sheol h7585)
14 If a man die, can he live again? All the days of my war-service would I wait, Till my change should come.
ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸತ್ತರೆ ಅವನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬದುಕುವನೋ? ಆದರೂ ನನಗೆ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದ ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ, ನನಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವವರೆಗೆ ನಾನು ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವೆನು.
15 Thou wilt call, and I will answer thee; Thou wilt have compassion upon the work of thy hands!
ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವಿರಿ, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವೆನು; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಈ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಹಂಬಲಿಸುವಿರಿ.
16 But now thou numberest my steps; Thou watchest over my sins.
ಆಗ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸುವಿರಿ; ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಪಾಪದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ದಾಖಲೆ ಇಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
17 My transgression is sealed up in a bag; Yea, thou addest unto my iniquity.
ನನ್ನ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳನ್ನು ಮೂಟೆಕಟ್ಟಿ ಮುದ್ರೆ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಡುವಿರಿ; ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡುವಿರಿ.
18 As the mountain falling cometh to nought, And the rock is removed from its place;
“ಆದರೂ ಬೆಟ್ಟವು ಬಿದ್ದು ಹಾಳಾಗುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಬಂಡೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ತೊಲಗುವಂತೆಯೂ,
19 As the waters wear away the stones, And the floods wash away the dust of the earth, So thou destroyest the hope of man.
ನೀರು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಸವೆಯಿಸುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಪ್ರವಾಹಗಳು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ನಾಶಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ.
20 Thou prevailest against him continually, and he perisheth; Thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.
ನೀವು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಮೇಲುಗೈ ಸಾಧಿಸಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗುವನು; ನೀವು ಅವನ ಮುಖಭಾವವನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೀರಿ.
21 His sons come to honor, but he knoweth it not; Or they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not.
ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಘನತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದರೆ, ಅದು ಸತ್ತವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಬಂದರೆ ಸಹ, ಅದನ್ನು ಸತ್ತವರು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
22 But his flesh shall have pain for itself alone; For itself alone shall his soul mourn.
ಆದರೆ ಸತ್ತವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಹದ ನೋವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು, ಅವರ ಆತ್ಮವು ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು.”
