Job 13
1 Lo! all this mine eye hath seen; Mine ear hath heard and understood it.
૧જુઓ, મારી આંખોએ તે સર્વ જોયું છે; મારા કાનેથી એ સાંભળ્યું છે અને હું સમજ્યો છું.
2 What ye know, I know also; I am not inferior to you.
૨તમે જે બધું જાણો છો તે હું પણ જાણું છું; તમારાથી હું કંઈ કાચો નથી.
3 But O that I might speak with the Almighty! O that I might reason with God!
૩નિશ્ચે, સર્વશક્તિમાનની સાથે વાત કરવા હું ઇચ્છું છું, હું ઈશ્વરની સાથે વાદ કરવા માગું છું.
4 For ye are forgers of lies; Physicians of no value, all of you!
૪પણ તમે સત્યને જૂઠાણાથી છુપાવવાની કોશિશ કરો છો; તમે બધા ઊંટવૈદ જેવા છો.
5 O that ye would altogether hold your peace! This, truly, would be wisdom in you.
૫તમે તદ્દન મૂંગા રહ્યા હોત તો સારું હતું! કેમ કે એમાં તમારું ડહાપણ જણાત.
6 Hear, I pray you, my arguments; Attend to the pleadings of my lips!
૬હવે મારી દલીલો સાંભળો; મારા મુખની અરજ પર ધ્યાન આપો.
7 Will ye speak falsehood for God? Will ye utter deceit for him?
૭શું તમે ઈશ્વરનો પક્ષ રાખી અન્યાયથી બોલશો, અને તેમના પક્ષના થઈને ઠગાઈયુક્ત વાત કરશો?
8 Will ye be partial to his person? Will ye contend earnestly for God?
૮શું તમે તેમની સાથેના સંબંધમાં રહેશો? શું તમે ઈશ્વરના પક્ષમાં બોલશો?
9 Will it be well for you, if he search you thoroughly? Can ye deceive him, as one may deceive a man?
૯તે તમારી ઝડતી લે તો સારું, અથવા જેમ મનુષ્ય એકબીજાને છેતરે તેમ શું તમે તેમને છેતરશો?
10 Surely he will rebuke you, If ye secretly have respect to persons.
૧૦તમે જો ગુપ્ત રીતે કોઈ વ્યકિતનો પક્ષ રાખો, તો ઈશ્વર તમને ઠપકો આપશે.
11 Doth not his majesty make you afraid, And his dread fall upon you?
૧૧શું ઈશ્વરની મહાનતા તમને નહિ ડરાવે? અને તેમનો ભય તમારા પર નહિ આવે?
12 Your maxims are words of dust; Your fortresses are fortresses of clay.
૧૨તમારી સ્મરણીય વાતો રાખ જેવી છે; અને તમારી બધી દલીલો માટીના કિલ્લાઓ સમાન છે.
13 Hold your peace, and let me speak: And then come upon me what will!
૧૩છાના રહો, મને નિરાંતે બોલવા દો, મારા પર જે થવાનું હોય તે થવા દો.
14 Why do I take my flesh in my teeth, And put my life in my hand?
૧૪મારું પોતાનું માંસ મારા દાંતમાં લઈશ. હું મારો જીવ મારા હાથોમાં લઈશ.
15 Lo! he slayeth me, and I have no hope! Yet will I justify my ways before him.
૧૫જુઓ, ભલે તે મને મારી નાખે, તોપણ હું તેમની રાહ જોઈશ; તેમ છતાં હું તેમની સમક્ષ મારો બચાવ જરૂર રજૂ કરીશ.
16 This also shall be my deliverance; For no unrighteous man will come before him.
૧૬ફક્ત એ જ મારું તારણ થઈ પડશે. કેમ કે દુષ્ટ માણસથી તેમની આગળ ઊભા રહી શકાય નહિ.
17 Hear attentively my words, And give ear to my declaration!
૧૭મારી વાત તમે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળો. મારા બોલવા પર કાન દો.
18 Behold, I have now set in order my cause; I know that I am innocent.
૧૮હવે જુઓ, મારી દલીલો મેં નિયમસર ગોઠવી છે. અને હું જાણું છું કે હું નિર્દોષ છું.
19 Who is he that can contend with me? For then would I hold my peace, and die!
૧૯મને કોણ ખોટો ઠરાવી શકે એમ છે? જો કોઈ પણ હોય તો હું ચૂપ રહીશ અને મારો પ્રાણ છોડીશ.
20 Only do not unto me two things, Then will I not hide myself from thy presence;
૨૦હે ઈશ્વર, માત્ર બે બાબતોથી તમે મને મુકત કરો, અને પછી હું તમારાથી મારું મુખ સંતાડીશ નહિ;
21 Let not thy hand be heavy upon me, And let not thy terrors make me afraid:
૨૧તમારો હાથ મારા પરથી ખેંચી લો, અને તમારા ભયથી મને ન ગભરાવો.
22 Then call upon me, and I will answer; Or I will speak, and answer thou me.
૨૨પછી તમે મને બોલાવો કે, હું તમને ઉત્તર આપું; અથવા મને બોલવા દો અને તમે ઉત્તર આપો.
23 How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me to know my faults and transgressions.
૨૩મારાં પાપો અને અન્યાયો કેટલા છે? મારા અપરાધો અને મારું પાપ મને જણાવો.
24 Wherefore dost thou hide thy face, And account me as thine enemy?
૨૪શા માટે તમે મારાથી તમારું મુખ ફેરવી લો છો? શા માટે તમે મને તમારો દુશ્મન ગણો છો?
25 Wilt thou put in fear the driven leaf? Wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
૨૫શું તમે પવનથી ખરી પડેલા પાંદડાને હેરાન કરશો? શું તમે સૂકા તણખલાનો પીછો કરશો?
26 For thou writest bitter things against me, And makest me inherit the sins of my youth.
૨૬તમે મારી વિરુદ્ધ સખત ઝેરી શબ્દો લખો છો; અને મારી યુવાવસ્થાના અન્યાયનો મને બદલો આપો છો.
27 Yea, thou puttest my feet in the stocks, And waterest all my paths; Thou hemmest in the soles of my feet.
૨૭તમે મારા પગમાં બેડીઓ બાંધો છો; તમે મારા બધા રસ્તાઓ ધ્યાનમાં રાખો છો, તમે મારાં પગલાં તપાસો છો;
28 And I, like an abandoned thing, shall waste away; Like a garment which is moth-eaten.
૨૮જો કે હું નાશ પામતી સડી ગયેલ વસ્તુના જેવો છું, તથા ઉધાઈએ ખાઈ નાખેલા વસ્ત્ર જેવો છું.
