Jeremiah 49
1 Concerning the children of Ammon. Thus saith Jehovah: Hath Israel no sons? Hath he not an heir? Why then doth Milcom inherit Gad, And his people dwell in his cities?
౧అమ్మోను ప్రజలను గూర్చి యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. “ఇశ్రాయేలుకు పిల్లలు లేరా? అతడికి వారసుడుగా ఎవరైనా ఉన్నారా? మల్కోము దేవత గాదును ఎందుకు ఆక్రమించుకున్నాడు? వాడి ప్రజలు దాని పట్టణాల్లో ఎందుకు నివసిస్తారు?”
2 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, That I will cause a cry of war to be heard against Rabbah of the sons of Ammon, And she shall become a ruinous heap, And her daughters shall be burned with fire; And Israel shall take possession of their land, who took possession of his.
౨అయితే యెహోవా ఇలా ప్రకటిస్తున్నాడు. “రబ్బాకు వ్యతిరేకంగానూ, అమ్మోను ప్రజలకు వ్యతిరేకంగానూ నేను యుద్ధ భేరీని మోగించే రోజులు వస్తున్నాయి. దాంతో రబ్బా అంతా వదిలివేసిన గుట్టలా ఉంటుంది. దాని ఊళ్ళు తగలబడి పోతాయి. దాని వారసులను ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలు స్వాధీనం చేసుకుంటారు.
3 Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is laid waste! Cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, Gird yourselves with sackcloth, lament, And run ye to and fro within the fences! For Milcom goeth into captivity, His priests and his princes together.
౩హెష్బోనూ, రోదన చెయ్యి. ఎందుకంటే హాయి నాశనమై పోయింది. రబ్బా కుమార్తెలారా, ఏడవండి, గోనె పట్టలు కట్టుకోండి. విలపించండి. ఊరకే అటూ ఇటూ పరుగెత్తండి. ఎందుకంటే మోలెకు దేవుడు చెరలోకి వెళ్తున్నాడు. వాడితో పాటు వాడి యాజకులూ, అధిపతులూ కూడా చెరలోకి వెళ్తున్నారు.
4 Wherefore dost thou glory in the valleys? Thy valley shall flow [[with blood]], O perverse daughter, That gloriest in thy treasures, [[Saying, ]] “Who shall come against me?”
౪విశ్వాసం లేని కూతురా, నీ బలాన్ని గూర్చి నీకు అంత ఆహంకారమెందుకు? నీ బలం నీళ్ళ లాగా ప్రవహించి పోతుంది. నీ సంపదలపై నమ్మకం పెట్టుకున్నావు. ‘నాకు విరోధిగా ఎవరొస్తారు?’ అంటున్నావు.
5 Behold, I will bring a terror upon thee, saith Jehovah of hosts, From all those that are around thee, And ye shall be driven out, every one right forth, And there shall be none to gather up the fugitives.
౫చూడు. నీ పైకి తీవ్రమైన భయం తీసుకు వస్తున్నాను.” సేనల ప్రభువు అయిన యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన ఇది. “నీ చుట్టూ ఉన్న ప్రజలనుండి నీకు ఆ భయం వస్తుంది. దాని ఎదుట నువ్వు చెదరిపోతావు. పారిపోతున్న వాళ్ళను పోగు చేయడానికి ఎవరూ ఉండరు.
6 But after this will I bring back the captivity of the sons of Ammon, saith Jehovah.
౬అయితే ఇదంతా అయ్యాక నేను అమ్మోను ప్రజల భాగ్యాన్ని పునరుద్ధరిస్తాను.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన.
7 Concerning the Edomites. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Is wisdom no more in Teman? Is counsel passed away from the prudent? Is their wisdom vanished?
౭ఏదోమును గూర్చి సేనల ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. “తేమానులో జ్ఞానమనేదే లేదా? అవగాహన ఉన్న వాళ్ళ దగ్గర ఒక మంచి సలహా లేకుండా పోయిందా? వాళ్ళ జ్ఞానమంతా వెళ్లిపోయిందా?
8 Flee ye, turn ye back, Dwell in deep places, O ye inhabitants of Dedan! For the destruction of Esau do I bring, The time of his punishment upon him.
౮దేదాను నివాసులు పారిపోండి. వెనక్కి తిరగండి. నేలపై ఉన్న కలుగుల్లో ఉండండి. ఎందుకంటే నేను ఏశావు ప్రజల పైకి ఆపదను రప్పించి అతణ్ణి శిక్షించబోతున్నాను.
9 If grape-gatherers had come upon thee, Would they not have left some gleanings? If thieves by night, They would have destroyed only till they had enough.
౯ద్రాక్షపళ్ళు ఏరుకునే వాళ్ళు నీ దగ్గరికి వస్తే, కొన్ని పళ్ళు వాళ్ళు వదిలేయరా? రాత్రి వేళ దొంగలు వచ్చినప్పుడు, వాళ్లకు కావాల్సింది తీసుకుని మిగిలినది వదిలేయరా?
10 But I will make Esau bare; I will uncover his hiding-places, So that he shall not be able to hide himself. His offspring shall be destroyed, and his brethren, and his neighbors, And he shall be no more.
౧౦కానీ నేను ఏశావును నగ్నంగా నిలబెడుతున్నాను. అతని రహస్య స్థలాలను బహిర్గతం చేస్తున్నాను. అతడు ఇక ఎక్కడా దాక్కోలేడు. అతని సంతానం, సోదరులూ, అతడి పొరుగు వాళ్ళూ అంతా నాశనమవుతున్నారు. అతడూ మిగలడు.
11 Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive, And thy widows, let them trust in me!
౧౧అనాథలైన పిల్లలను విడిచిపెట్టు. వాళ్ళను నేను చూసుకుంటాను. నీ వితంతువులు నన్ను నమ్ముకోవచ్చు.”
12 For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, they who ought not to have drunk the cup have deeply drunken, And shalt thou go altogether unpunished? Thou shalt not go unpunished; Thou shalt surely drink.
౧౨యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. “పాత్రలోని దాన్ని తాగాల్సిన అవసరం లేని వాళ్ళు కూడా కచ్చితంగా పాత్రలోది కొంత తాగుతున్నారు. అలాంటప్పుడు నువ్వు శిక్షను ఎలా తప్పించుకుంటావు. తప్పించుకోలేవు. ఆ పాత్రలోది తప్పకుండా తాగాల్సిందే.
13 For by myself have I sworn, saith Jehovah, That Bozrah shall become an astonishment, A reproach, a desolation, and a curse; And all her cities shall be perpetual wastes.
౧౩బొస్రా భయాన్ని కలిగించే స్థలంగానూ, అవమానంగానూ, ఒక శాపవచనంగానూ ఉంటుంది. దాని పట్టణాలన్నీ ఎప్పటికీ నాశనమై ఉంటాయి. ఎందుకంటే నేను నా పేరు చెప్పి ప్రమాణం చేశాను.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన.
14 I have heard a proclamation from Jehovah, And an ambassador hath been sent among the nations, [[Saying, ]] “Assemble yourselves, and come against her, And arise to battle!”
౧౪యెహోవా దగ్గర నుండి నేనొక వార్త విన్నాను. ఆ వార్తతో జాతులన్నిటి దగ్గరికి ఒక వార్తాహరుడు వెళ్ళాడు. “‘అందరం సమకూడి ఆమెపై దాడి చేద్దాం. యుద్ధానికి సిద్ధం కండి.’
15 For, behold, I will make thee small among the nations, Despised among men.
౧౫ఇతర జాతులతో పోలిస్తే నిన్ను అల్పుడుగా చేస్తాను. వాళ్ళ దృష్టిలో నిన్ను నీచుడిగా చేస్తాను.
16 Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, The pride of thy heart, Because thou dwellest in the recesses of the rock, And holdest the height of the hill. Though thou set thy nest on high, like the eagle, From thence will I bring thee down, saith Jehovah.
౧౬కొండ శిఖరాలపై నివసిస్తావు. పర్వత శిఖరాలను స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నావు, నీ భీకరత్వం విషయంలో నీ హృదయంలో గర్వం నిన్ను మోసం చేసింది. గద్దలాగా ఉన్నత స్థలాల్లో గూడు కట్టుకుని ఉన్నావు. అయినా నిన్ను అక్కడనుండి కిందకు లాగి పడవేస్తాను.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన.
17 And Edom shall be an astonishment: Every one that passeth by her shall be astonished, And shall hiss on account of all her plagues.
౧౭“ఏదోమును దాటి వెళ్ళే వాళ్ళకు అది భయం పుట్టిస్తుంది. అందరూ దానికి కలిగిన కష్టాలు చూసి ఆశ్చర్యపడి ఎగతాళి చేస్తారు.”
18 As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, And their neighboring cities, saith Jehovah, There shall not a man abide there, Nor a son of man dwell within her.
౧౮యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. “నేను సొదోమ, గొమొర్రా వాటి చుట్టూ ఉన్న పట్టణాలను నాశనం చేసినట్టే వీటికీ చేసిన తరువాత, అక్కడిలాగే ఇక్కడ కూడా ఎవరూ నివసించరు. ఏ మనిషీ అక్కడ బస చేయడు.
19 Behold, he [[the enemy]] cometh up like a lion from the pride of Jordan against the habitation of the rock; Suddenly will I drive him [[Edom]] thence, And him who is chosen by me will I set over her. For who is like me, Or who will summon me to trial? Or who is the shepherd that will stand up against me?
౧౯చూడండి, అతడు యొర్దాను అడవుల్లో నుండి ఎంతో కాలంగా ఉన్న పచ్చిక మైదానం లోకి వచ్చే సింహంలా వస్తున్నాడు. దాన్ని చూసి ఏదోము తక్షణమే పారిపోయేలా చేస్తాను. దానిపైన నేను ఎంపిక చేసిన వాణ్ణి అధిపతిగా నియమిస్తాను. ఎందుకంటే నాలాంటి వాడు ఎక్కడ ఉన్నాడు? నన్ను రమ్మని ఆజ్ఞాపించగలిగేది ఎవరు? నన్ను నిరోధించే కాపరి ఎవరు?
20 Therefore, hear ye the purpose of Jehovah, Which he hath formed against Edom, And the designs which he meditateth against the inhabitants of Teman! Surely he [[the enemy]] shall drag them forth like feeble sheep; Surely he shall come upon them, And make their pastures desolate.
౨౦కాబట్టి ఏదోముకు వ్యతిరేకంగా యెహోవా నిర్ణయించిన ప్రణాళికలను వినండి. తేమాను నివాసులకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ఆయన చేసిన ప్రణాళికలు వినండి. కచ్చితంగా మందలో బలహీనమైన వాటితో సహా అందర్నీ శత్రువులు బయటకు ఈడుస్తారు. పచ్చిక బయళ్ళు శిథిలమైన స్థలాలుగా మారతాయి.
21 At the noise of their fall the earth trembleth, Even to the Red Sea is their cry heard.
౨౧వాళ్ళు కూలినప్పుడు భూమి కంపించింది. దాని దుర్గతికి అది వేసే కేకలు ఎర్ర సముద్రం వరకూ వినిపించాయి.
22 Behold, like an eagle, he [[the enemy]] cometh up, And spreadeth his wings over Bozrah; And the hearts of the heroes of Edom, in that day, Shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
౨౨చూడండి డేగలా శత్రువు దాడి చేస్తాడు. అది దూసుకు వచ్చి బొస్రాను తన రెక్కలతో కప్పివేస్తుంది. ఆ రోజున ఏదోము సైనికుల హృదయాలు ప్రసవించడానికి నొప్పులు పడుతున్న స్త్రీ హృదయంలా ఉంటాయి.”
23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath and Arpad are confounded; They faint, because they have heard evil tidings. There is anxiety at the sea; It cannot be at rest.
౨౩దమస్కు గూర్చిన వాక్యం. “హమాతు, అర్పాదూ జరిగిన వినాశనం వార్త విని సిగ్గుపడతాయి. అవి కరిగిపోతున్నాయి. నిమ్మళంగా ఉండటం సాధ్యం కాని సముద్రంలా అవి కలవరపడుతున్నాయి.
24 Damascus is faint-hearted; She turneth herself to flee; Trembling hath seized on her; Anguish and pangs have taken hold of her, as of a woman in travail.
౨౪దమస్కు ఎంతో బలహీనంగా ఉంది. పారిపోడానికి అది వెనక్కు తిరిగింది. దాన్ని భయం పట్టుకుంది. నిస్పృహ దాన్ని ఆవరించింది. ప్రసవించే స్త్రీ పడే వేదన వంటి వేదన దానికి కలిగింది.”
25 “Why is not the praised city left, The city of my joy?”
౨౫దానిలో నివసించే ప్రజలు ఇలా అనుకుంటారు. “ఇంత ప్రసిద్ధి చెందిన పట్టణం, నాకెంతో ఆనందాన్ని ఇచ్చే పట్టణం ఇది. ప్రజలు దీనిని ఇంకా ఖాళీ చేయలేదేమిటి?”
26 Yea, her young men shall fall in her streets, And all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, Saith Jehovah of hosts.
౨౬కాబట్టి పట్టణంలో యువకులు దాని వీధుల్లోనే కూలిపోతారు. ఆ రోజున యుద్ధవీరులంతా అంతమై పోతారు. ఇది సేనల ప్రభువైన యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన.
27 Yea, I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, Which shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.
౨౭“నేను దమస్కు ప్రాకారం పై అగ్ని రాజేస్తాను. అది బెన్హదదు బలమైన దుర్గాలను తగలబెట్టేస్తుంది.”
28 Concerning Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, smote. Thus saith Jehovah: Arise ye, go up against Kedar, And spoil the sons of the East!
౨౮కేదారు, హాసోరు రాజ్యాలను గూర్చి యెహోవా బబులోనురాజు నెబుకద్నెజరుకు ఇలా చెప్పాడు. ఈ రాజ్యాలపై దాడి చేయడానికి నెబుకద్నెజరు వెళ్తున్నాడు. “లేవండి. కేదారుపై దాడి చేయండి. ఆ తూర్పు దిక్కున ఉన్న ప్రజలను నాశనం చేయండి.
29 Their tents and their flocks shall they take away; They shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their furniture, and their camels, And men shall cry to them, “Terror is on every side.”
౨౯అతని సైన్యం వాళ్ళ గుడారాలనూ, వాళ్ళ మందలనూ, గుడారాల తాళ్లనూ మిగిలిన సామాగ్రినంతా తీసుకు వెళ్తారు. కేదారు ప్రజల ఒంటెలను వాళ్ళు తీసుకువెళ్తారు. ‘అన్ని వైపులా భయం’ అంటూ చెప్తారు.
30 Flee, get you far off, dwell in deep places, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith Jehovah. For Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, meditates a design against you, And has formed a purpose against you.
౩౦హాసోరు నివాసులారా, పారిపోండి. దూరంగా వెళ్ళండి. భూమి పైన ఉన్న కలుగుల్లో ఉండండి.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన. “ఎందుకంటే బబులోను రాజు నెబుకద్నెజరు మీకు విరోధంగా ప్రణాళికలు రచిస్తున్నాడు. వెనక్కి తిరిగి పారిపోండి!
31 Arise ye, go up against a nation at ease, That dwelleth securely, saith Jehovah; Which hath neither gates nor bars; Which dwelleth alone.
౩౧మీరు లేవండి! నిశ్చింతగానూ క్షేమంగానూ నివసిస్తున్న రాజ్యంపై దాడి చేయండి.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన. “వాళ్లకు ద్వారాలు లేవు. ఉన్నా వాటికి అడ్డు గడియలు లేవు. ప్రజలు హాయిగా నివసిస్తున్నారు.
32 And their camels shall be a booty, And the multitude of their cattle a spoil; And I will scatter to all the winds them that shave the cheeks, And from every side will I bring their calamity, saith Jehovah.
౩౨వాళ్ళ ఒంటెలు దోపుడు సొమ్ము అవుతాయి. విస్తారమైన వాళ్ళ సంపద మీకు యుద్ధంలో కొల్లగొట్టే సొమ్ముగా ఉంటుంది. తర్వాత చెంపలపైన కత్తిరించుకునే వాళ్ళను చెదరగొడతాను. వాళ్ళ మీదకు అన్ని వేపుల నుండీ ఆపద రప్పిస్తాను.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన.
33 And Hazor shall be a dwelling for jackals, A desolation forever. There shall not a man abide there, Nor any son of man dwell therein.
౩౩“హాసోరు పాడై నక్కలకు నివాస స్థలంగా ఉంటుంది. శాశ్వతంగా వ్యర్ధభూమిగా ఉంటుంది. అక్కడ ఎవ్వరూ నివాసముండరు. ఏ మనిషీ అక్కడ బస చేయడు.”
34 The word of Jehovah which came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah, king of Judah, saying: —
౩౪యూదా రాజు సిద్కియా పరిపాలన ప్రారంభంలో యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయా ప్రవక్త దగ్గరికి వచ్చింది. ఆయన ఏలాము గూర్చి ఇలా చెప్పాడు.
35 Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Behold, I break the bow of Elam, The chief part of their strength.
౩౫“సేనల ప్రభువు యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. చూడండి, నేను ఏలాముకు ముఖ్య బలమైన వాళ్ళ విల్లునూ, దాన్ని సంధించే వాళ్ళనూ విరగగొడతాను.
36 And I will bring against Elam The four winds from the four extremities of the heavens, And I will scatter them to all these winds, And there shall be no nation To which the outcasts of Elam shall not come.
౩౬ఎలాగంటే ఆకాశంలోని నాలుగు దిక్కుల నుండి నాలుగు వాయువులను రప్పిస్తాను. నాలుగు దిక్కుల నుండి వస్తున్న గాలులతో ఏలాము ప్రజలను చెదరగొడతాను. చెదిరిపోయిన ఏలాము ప్రజలు వెళ్ళడానికి ఏ దేశమూ ఉండదు.
37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, And before them that seek their life. And I will bring evil upon them, The fierceness of my anger, saith Jehovah. And I will send after them the sword, Until I have consumed them.
౩౭వాళ్ళ శత్రువుల ఎదుటా, వాళ్ళ ప్రాణాలు తీయాలని చూసే వారి ఎదుటా వాళ్ళను చెదరగొడతాను. తీవ్రమైన నా క్రోధాన్ని బట్టి వాళ్లకు వ్యతిరేకంగా వినాశనాన్ని పంపుతాను. వాళ్ళని సంపూర్ణంగా నిర్మూలం చేసే వరకూ వారి వెనకే కత్తిని పంపుతాను.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన.
38 And I will set up my throne in Elam, And I will destroy from thence king and princes, saith Jehovah.
౩౮“ఏలాములో నా సింహాసనాన్ని నిలబెడతాను. అక్కడి రాజునూ, అధిపతులనూ నాశనం చేస్తాను.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన.
39 But it shall come to pass in future times, That I will bring back the captivity of Elam, saith Jehovah.
౩౯“అయితే తర్వాత రోజుల్లో ఏలాము భాగ్యాన్ని పునరుద్ధరిస్తాను.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన.
