Jeremiah 46
1 The word which came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations.
ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଗଣ ବିଷୟରେ ଯିରିମୀୟ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ବାକ୍ୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା, ତହିଁର ବୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତ।
2 Of Egypt. Concerning the army of Pharaoh-Necho, the king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, smote, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah.
ମିସର ବିଷୟ। ଯୋଶୀୟର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଯିହୋୟାକୀମ୍ଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ଚତୁର୍ଥ ବର୍ଷରେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର, ମିସରର ରାଜା ଫାରୋ ନଖୋର ଯେଉଁ ସୈନ୍ୟସାମନ୍ତକୁ ପରାଜୟ କଲା, ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ କର୍କମୀଶରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ସେହି ସୈନ୍ୟସାମନ୍ତ ବିଷୟକ କଥା।
3 Prepare ye the buckler and shield, And move on to battle!
“ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଚର୍ମର ଢାଲ ଓ ଫଳକ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କର ଓ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ଲାଗି ନିକଟକୁ ଆସ।
4 Harness the horses, and mount, ye riders! Stand forth in your helmets; Make bright the spears, And put on the coats of mail!
ହେ ଅଶ୍ୱାରୋହୀମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅଶ୍ୱଗଣକୁ ସଜ୍ଜିତ କରି ଆରୋହଣ କର ଓ ମସ୍ତକର ଟୋପର ପିନ୍ଧି ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଠିଆ ହୁଅ; ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ଚିକ୍କଣ କର, ସାଞ୍ଜୁଆ ପିନ୍ଧ।
5 Wherefore do I see them dismayed, and turned back? Even their mighty ones are smitten; They flee apace; they look not back. Terror is on every side, saith Jehovah.
ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ବିଗ୍ନ ଓ ପଛକୁ ଫେରି ଯିବାର କାହିଁକି ଦେଖିଅଛୁ? ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବୀରଗଣ ପରାସ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଶୀଘ୍ର ପଳାଇ ପଛକୁ ଅନାଉ ନାହାନ୍ତି; ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ଆଶଙ୍କା ଅଛି, ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।
6 Let not the swift attempt to flee away, Nor the mighty man to escape; Toward the North by the river Euphrates shall they stumble and fall.
ଦ୍ରୁତଗାମୀ ପଳାୟନ ନ କରୁ, କିଅବା ବୀର ରକ୍ଷା ନ ପାଉ; ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଗରେ ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ନିକଟରେ ସେମାନେ ଝୁଣ୍ଟି ପଡ଼ିଅଛନ୍ତି।
7 Who is he that riseth up like the Nile, Whose waters swell like floods?
ନୀଳ ନଦୀ ପରି ଯେ ଉଠୁଅଛି, ଯାହାର ଜଳରାଶି ନଦୀସମୂହର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଉତ୍କ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ହେଉଅଛି, ସେ କିଏ?
8 Egypt riseth up like the Nile, And like floods do his waters swell. He saith, “I will arise, I will cover the land, I will destroy the city, and them that dwell therein.”
ମିସର ନୀଳ ନଦୀ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଉଠୁଅଛି, ତାହାର ଜଳରାଶି ନଦୀସମୂହର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଉତ୍କ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ହେଉଅଛି, ଆଉ ସେ କହୁଅଛି, ମୁଁ ଉଚ୍ଛୁଳି ଉଠିବି, ମୁଁ ପୃଥିବୀକୁ ପ୍ଲାବିତ କରିବି; ମୁଁ ନଗର ଓ ତନ୍ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରିବି।
9 Come up, ye horses, and rage, ye chariots! And let the mighty men go forth, The Ethiopians, and the Libyans, that bear the shield, And the Lydians, that bear and bend the bow!
ହେ ଅଶ୍ୱଗଣ, ଉଠିଯାଅ; ହେ ରଥସକଳ, ଗର୍ଜ୍ଜନ କର; ଆଉ, ବୀରମାନେ ବାହାର ହେଉନ୍ତୁ; ଢାଲବାହକ କୂଶ ଓ ପୂଟ୍, ଆଉ ଧନୁର୍ଦ୍ଧାରୀ ଓ ଧନୁରେ ଗୁଣଦାୟୀ ଲୁଦୀୟମାନେ, ବାହାର ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।
10 This is the day of the Lord Jehovah of hosts, A day of vengeance, to avenge himself of his enemies; And the sword shall devour, and satiate itself, And it shall be made drunk with their blood. For Jehovah of hosts hath a sacrifice In the North country, by the river Euphrates.
କାରଣ ସେଦିନ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର, ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତିଶୋଧ ନେବାର ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିପକ୍ଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଦେବାର ଦିନ ଅଟେ; ଖଡ୍ଗ ଗ୍ରାସ କରି ତୃପ୍ତ ହେବ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ରକ୍ତ ପାନ କରି ପରିତୃପ୍ତ ହେବ; କାରଣ ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏକ ଯଜ୍ଞ ଅଛି।
11 Go up to Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, daughter of Egypt! In vain shalt thou use many medicines; There is no cure for thee!
ଗୋ ମିସରର ଅନୁଢ଼ା କନ୍ୟେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଗିଲୀୟଦକୁ ଉଠିଯାଇ ଔଷଧ ନିଅ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବ୍ୟର୍ଥରେ ଅନେକ ଔଷଧ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁଅଛ; ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ଆରୋଗ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ।
12 The nations have heard of thy shame, And thy cry hath filled the earth; For they have stumbled, the mighty against the mighty, And they are fallen both together.
ସମସ୍ତ ଜାତିଗଣ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅପମାନର କଥା ଶୁଣିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭର କାତରୋକ୍ତିରେ ପୃଥିବୀ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ; କାରଣ ବୀର ବୀର ଉପରେ ଝୁଣ୍ଟି ପଡ଼ିଅଛି; ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ଏକତ୍ର ପଡ଼ିଅଛନ୍ତି।”
13 The word which Jehovah spake to Jeremiah the prophet, concerning the coming of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, to smite the land of Egypt.
ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ମିସର ଦେଶକୁ ଆସି ତାହା ପରାସ୍ତ କରିବା ବିଷୟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯିରିମୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ କଥା କହିଲେ, ତାହା ଏହି, ଯଥା,
14 Declare ye in Egypt, and proclaim in Migdol, Proclaim ye also in Noph and Tahpanhes! Say ye, “Stand fast and prepare thyself, For the sword shall devour round about thee!”
“ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମିସରରେ ପ୍ରଚାର କର, ମିଗ୍ଦୋଲରେ ଘୋଷଣା କର, ଆଉ ନୋଫ ଓ ତଫନ୍ହେଷରରେ ଘୋଷଣା କର; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କୁହ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଠିଆ ହୁଅ, ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କର, କାରଣ ଖଡ୍ଗ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ସବୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଅଛି।
15 Wherefore are thy mighty ones overthrown? They stood not, because Jehovah cast them down.
ତୁମ୍ଭର ବଳବାନ ଲୋକମାନେ କାହିଁକି ଭାସିଗଲେ? ସେମାନେ ସ୍ଥିର ରହି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ତଡ଼ିଦେଲେ।
16 He caused many to fall; one fell upon another; And they said, “Arise, and let us go to our own people, And to the land of our nativity, from the overpowering sword.”
ସେ ଅନେକଙ୍କୁ ଝୁଣ୍ଟାଇ ପକାଇଲେ, ସେମାନେ ପରସ୍ପର ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ିଲେ; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, ‘ଉଠ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଉତ୍ପୀଡ଼କ ଖଡ୍ଗରୁ ପଳାଇ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଶକୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଯାଉ।’
17 There they cry, “Pharaoh, king of Egypt, is undone! He hath let pass the appointed time.”
ସେସ୍ଥାନରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କହିଲେ, ‘ମିସରର ରାଜା ଫାରୋ ଶବ୍ଦ ମାତ୍ର; ସେ ନିରୂପିତ ସମୟ ବହି ଯିବାକୁ ଦେଇଅଛି।’
18 As I live, saith the King, Whose name is Jehovah of hosts: Like Tabor among the mountains, And like Carmel by the sea, he cometh! Prepare thyself travelling equipage,
ରାଜା ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯାହାଙ୍କ ନାମ, ସେ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ପର୍ବତଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାବୋରର ସଦୃଶ କିଅବା ସମୁଦ୍ର ନିକଟସ୍ଥ କର୍ମିଲର ସଦୃଶ ସେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଆସିବ।
19 Thou who dwellest in Egypt! For Noph shall become waste, Yea, desolate without an inhabitant.
ଆଗୋ ମିସର ନିବାସିନୀ କନ୍ୟେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବନ୍ଦୀତ୍ୱକୁ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣାର ସମ୍ବଳ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କର; କାରଣ ନୋଫ ଧ୍ୱଂସିତ, ଦଗ୍ଧ ଓ ନିବାସୀବିହୀନ ହେବ।
20 Egypt is a fair heifer, But destruction cometh; it cometh from the North.
ମିସର ଅତି ସୁନ୍ଦରୀ ତରୁଣୀ ଗାଭୀ; ମାତ୍ର ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଗରୁ ବିନାଶ ଆସିଅଛି, ତାହା ଆସିଅଛି।
21 Her mercenaries also in the midst of her are like fatted bullocks; Yet they also turn back; they flee together; they stand not; For the day of their calamity is come upon them, And the time of their punishment.
ଆହୁରି, ମିସରର ମଧ୍ୟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ବେତନଗ୍ରାହୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ଗୋଶାଳାର ଗୋବତ୍ସ ତୁଲ୍ୟ; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଫେରି ଯାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଏକତ୍ର ପଳାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ସ୍ଥିର ହୋଇ ରହିଲେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିପଦର ଦିନ, ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ପାଇବାର ସମୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା।
22 Her voice shall be heard like that of a serpent, When they shall march against her with their forces, And come against her with axes like fellers of trees.
ଶତ୍ରୁମାନେ ସୈନ୍ୟ ସହିତ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେବେ ଓ କାଠକଟାଳୀମାନଙ୍କ ପରି କୁହ୍ରାଡ଼ି ନେଇ ତାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆସିବେ, ତହିଁରେ ତାହାର ଶବ୍ଦ ସର୍ପ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେବ।
23 They shall cut down her forest, though it be impenetrable; For they exceed the locusts in multitude, And are innumerable.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ତାହାର ଅରଣ୍ୟ ଅଗମ୍ୟ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ସେମାନେ ତାହା ହାଣି ପକାଇବେ; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ପଙ୍ଗପାଳ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅନେକ ଓ ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
24 The daughter of Egypt is brought to shame; She is given into the hand of the people of the North.
ମିସରର କନ୍ୟା ଲଜ୍ଜିତା ହେବ; ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଶୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତା ହେବ।”
25 Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saith: Behold, I will punish Ammon of No, And Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods and their kings; Even Pharaoh and all that trust in him.
ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କହନ୍ତି: “ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ନୋ ଦେଶୀୟ ଆମୋନ୍କୁ, ଆଉ ଫାରୋ, ମିସର ଓ ତାହାର ଦେବଗଣ ଓ ରାଜାଗଣଙ୍କୁ; ହଁ, ଫାରୋ ଓ ତାହାର ଶରଣାପନ୍ନ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେବା;
26 And I will deliver them into the hands of those that seek their lives, And into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, And into the hand of his servants. But after this it shall be inhabited, As in the days of old, saith Jehovah.
ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାଣନାଶର ଚେଷ୍ଟାକାରୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ଓ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ଓ ତାହାର ଦାସମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା। ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ଦେଶ ପୂର୍ବକାଳର ନ୍ୟାୟ ବସତି ସ୍ଥାନ ହେବ।
27 But fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, And be not thou dismayed, O Israel! For, behold, I will bring thee safe from afar, And thy posterity from the land of their captivity; And Jacob shall return and be at rest, Yea, he shall be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
ମାତ୍ର ହେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ଯାକୁବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିରାଶ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ: କାରଣ ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଦୂରରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଓ ବନ୍ଦୀତ୍ୱ ଦେଶରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବଂଶକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବା; ତହିଁରେ ଯାକୁବ ଫେରିଆସି ନିର୍ଭୟ ଓ ନିଶ୍ଚିନ୍ତରେ ରହିବ ଓ କେହି ତାହାକୁ ଭୟ ଦେଖାଇବ ନାହିଁ।
28 Fear thou not, O Jacob, my servant, saith Jehovah, For I will be with thee; When I shall make a full end of all the nations Whither I have dispersed thee, Yet will I not make a full end of thee; I will correct thee in measure; Yet must I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ହେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ଯାକୁବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛୁ: ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟକୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ତଡ଼ି ଦେଇଅଛୁ, ସେହି ସବୁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଃଶେଷ ରୂପେ ସଂହାର କରିବା, ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନିଃଶେଷ ରୂପେ ସଂହାର କରିବା ନାହିଁ; ତଥାପି ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବିବେଚନାପୂର୍ବକ ଶାସ୍ତି ଦେବା ଓ କୌଣସିମତେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅଦଣ୍ଡିତ କରି ଛାଡ଼ିବା ନାହିଁ।”
