< Jeremiah 26 >
1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word from Jehovah, saying: —
Ie tam-baloham-pifehea’ Iehoiakime ana’ Iosia, mpanjaka’ Iehodà, le niheo eo ty tsara’ Iehovà manao ty hoe:
2 Thus saith Jehovah: Stand in the court of the house of Jehovah, and speak to those who come from all the cities of Judah to worship in the house of Jehovah all the words which I have commanded thee to speak to them; abate not a word.
Hoe t’Iehovà: Mijohaña an-kiririsan’anjomba’Iehovà eo vaho tseizo amo rova’ Iehodà iaby miheo mb’eo hitalaho añ’anjomba’ Iehovào, ze hene entañe lilieko azo hitaroñañe; leo tsara raike tsy hapo’o.
3 If peradventure they will hearken and turn every one from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil which I purpose to do to them because of their evil doings.
Hera hañaoñe iereo, songa hiamboho amo sata rati’eo; soa te hihahak’ amy hekoheko nisafirieko hanoeñe am’ iereo ty amo haloloam-pitoloña’ iareooy.
4 And thou shalt say to them, Thus saith Jehovah: If ye will not hearken to me, to walk in my law which I have set before you,
Le hoe ty hanoa’o: Hoe t’Iehovà: Aa naho tsy mijanjiñe ahy, hañavelo amy Hàke tinaroko añatrefa’ areoy,
5 to hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent to you, rising early and sending, and ye have not hearkened,
hitsendreñe i saontsi’ o mpitoky mpitoroko niraheko ama’ areo, nampañampitsoeñe naho niraheñeo, fe tsy hinao’ areoy;
6 then will I make this house like Shiloh, and this city will I make a curse to all the nations of the earth.
aa le hampanahafeko amy Silò ty anjomba toy, vaho hanoeko fatse amy ze kila fifeheañe an-tane atoy ty rova toy.
7 And the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of Jehovah.
Jinanji’ o mpisoroñeo naho o mpitokio vaho ondaty iabio i tsara nisaontsie’ Iirmeà añ’anjomba’ Iehovày.
8 And when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that Jehovah had commanded him to speak to all the people, then the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, and said, Thou shalt surely die!
Ie fonga nihenefa’ Iirmeà taroñe i nandilia’ Iehovà aze ho saontsieñe am’ ondaty iabio, le namihiñe aze o mpisoroñeo naho o mpitokio vaho ze hene ondaty, nanao ty hoe: Toe havetrake irehe.
9 Why dost thou prophesy in the name of Jehovah, and say, This house shall be as Shiloh, and this city shall be made desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were assembled together against Jeremiah in the house of Jehovah.
Ino ty nitokie’o amy tahina’ Iehovày ty hoe: Hanahake i Silo ty anjomba toy, vaho hangoakoake ty rova toy, tsy ho amam-pimoneñe? Le hene niropak’ am’ Iieremea ondaty añ’anjomba’ Iehovào.
10 When the princes of Judah heard these things, they went up from the king's house to the house of Jehovah, and sat in the entrance of the new gate of the house of Jehovah.
Ie nahajanjiñe i hoe zay o roandria’ Iehodào, le niakatse ty anjomba’ i mpanjakay vaho nimoak’ añ’ anjomba’ Iehovà ao; niambesatse ami’ty fizilihañe amy lalam-bey vao’ i anjomba’ Iehovày eo.
11 Then spake the priests and the prophets to the princes and to all the people, saying: This man is worthy to die; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears.
Le nisaontsy amo roandriañeo naho amo hene’ ondatio o mpisoroñeo naho o mpitokio, nanao ty hoe: Mañeva havetrake t’indaty tia; amy te nitokie’e raty ty rova toy, i jinanjin-dravembia’ areoy.
12 Then spake Jeremiah to all the princes and to all the people, saying: Jehovah hath sent me to prophesy against this house, and against this city, all the words which ye have heard.
Le nitaroñe’ Iirmeà o roandriañeo naho ze hene’ ondaty eo nanao ty hoe: Nirahe’ Iehovà iraho hamàtse ty anjomba toy naho ty rova toy amy tsara jinanji’ areo iabiy.
13 But now amend ye your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of Jehovah, your God, and Jehovah will repent of the evil which he hath pronounced against you.
Avantaño arè o sata’ areoo naho o fitoloña’ areoo, vaho haoño ty fiarañanaña’ Iehovà Andrianañahare’ areo; le hihahak’ amy hankàñe nitseiza’e t’Iehovà.
14 And as for me, behold, I am in your hands; do to me as it seemeth good and right in your eyes.
Fa naho izaho, heheke te am-pità’ areo; ano amako ze mete naho mahity am-pihaino’ areo.
15 But know ye for certain that, if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and its inhabitants; for of a truth Jehovah hath sent me to you to speak all these words in your ears.
Fe mahafohina an-katò te ie añohofa’ areo loza, le ho lio-màliñe ama’ areo naho an-drova atoy vaho amo mpimone’eo; fa toe nirahe’ Iehovà ama’ areo iraho hivolañe i hene tsara zay an-dravembia’ areo ao.
16 Then said the princes and all the people to the priests and the prophets: This man is not worthy to die, for he hath spoken to us in the name of Jehovah, our God.
Aa le hoe o roandriañeo naho ze hene’ ondaty amo mpisoroñeo naho amo mpitokio: Tsy mañeva ho vonoeñe ondatio; amy te nitaroñe aman-tika ami’ty tahina’Iehovà Andrianañaharen-tika.
17 Certain elders of the land also rose up, and spoke to all the assembly of the people, saying:
Niongak’ amy zao ty ila’ o androanavi’ i taneio vaho nisaontsy amy fivori’ ondatioy nanao ty hoe:
18 Micah, the Morasthite, prophesied in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Zion shall be ploughed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps of stones, and the mountain of the house [[of Jehovah]] as the heights of a forest.
Nitoky tañ’ andro’ i Kizkià mpanjaka’ Iehodà t’i Mika nte-Morasete vaho nitaroñe ty hoe amy ze hene ondati’ Iehodà: Hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy: Ho rokafeñe hoe hatsake ty Tsione, naho ho kivotrivotry t’Ierosalaime, vaho hanahake o ankaboañe añ’alao ty vohi’ i anjombay
19 Did Hezekiah, king of Judah, and all Judah, put him to death? Did he not fear Jehovah, and beseech Jehovah, so that Jehovah repented of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Shall we then bring so great an evil upon ourselves?
Nañoho-doza ama’e hao ty Kizkia mpanjaka’ Iehodà naho Iehodà iaby? Te mone nañeveñe am’ Iehovà nihalaly ty fañisoha’ Iehovà, vaho nihahak’ amy fe-hohatse nitsarae’e am’ iereoy t’Iehovà? Aa kera hampivotrahan-tika hankàñe o fiaintikañeo.
20 There was also another man that prophesied in the name of Jehovah, Urijah, the son of Shemaiah of Kirjath-jearim, who prophesied against this city and this land, according to all the words of Jeremiah;
Teo ka t’indaty nitoky ami’ty tahina’ Iehovà, i Orià ana’ i Semaia, boak’e Kiriate Iearime; le nitokie’e fatse ty rova toy naho ty tane toy manahake i sinaontsi’ Iirmeà abikey;
21 and when Jehoiakim the king, and all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death. But when Urijah heard it, he was afraid, and fled and went into Egypt.
fa ie nahatsanoñe o enta’eo t’Iehoiakime mpanjaka naho o fanalolahi’e iabio, naho o roandria’e iabio, le nipay hañoho doza ama’e i mpanjakay; fe nahajanjiñe izay t’i Oria le nihembañe vaho nivoratsake mb’e Mitsraime mb’ eo;
22 But Jehoiakim the king sent men into Egypt, Elnathan the son of Achbor, and certain men with him into Egypt,
le nampihitrife’ Iehoiakime mb’e Mitsraime mb’eo t’ indaty; i Elnatane ana’ i Akbore rekets’ ondaty tsy ampeampeo ty nimb’e Mitsraime añe;
23 and they brought Urijah out of Egypt, and carried him to King Jehoiakim, who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.
le nendese’ iereo boake Mitsraime añe t’i Orià naho nasese’ iareo am’ Iehoiakime mpanjaka; zinevo’e am-pibara vaho navokovoko’e an-kibori’ o ana’ ondatio.
24 Nevertheless, the hand of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, was with Jeremiah, that he should not be delivered into the hand of the people, to be put to death.
Fe nañimba Iirmeà ty fità’ i Ahikame ana’ i Safane, tsy nitolorañe am-pità’ondatio ho vonoeñe.
