< James 4 >
1 Whence are wars and whence are fightings among you? Are they not hence, from your lusts that war in your members?
Apuni khan majot te kot pora lorai jhagara khan ulai? Etu apuni khan majot te jhagara kori bole itcha thaka pora nohoi?
2 Ye lust, and have not; ye kill, and earnestly covet, and cannot obtain; ye fight and war. Ye have not, because ye ask not;
Apuni itcha kore, kintu napai. Apuni thogai kene morai, kintu napai. Apuni lorai aru jhagara kore. Apuni etu napai kelemane apuni namange.
3 ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Apuni mange kintu apuni napai, kelemane apuni bhal pora namange, apuni nijor laga itcha nimite he kore.
4 Ye adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore chooseth to be a friend of the world, becometh an enemy of God.
Biswas te nathaka khan! Apuni najane naki prithibi logote sathi kori thaka to Isor laga bhirodh te ase? Etu nimite kun manu prithibi logote sathi kori kene thakibo tai Isor laga dushman ase.
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, “Zealously doth the Spirit, which made its abode in us, long for us”?
Pobitro kotha te, “Etu Atma amikhan laga bhitor te thaki bole diya to bisi lalchi kori ase” eneka likha to eku motlob nai naki?
6 but he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.”
Kintu Isor pora anugraha bisi diye, Isor kotha te koi ase, “Phutani kora manu ke Isor pora hatai diye, kintu kun nomro hoi kene thaka, taike anugrah diye.”
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God; resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.
Isor logote sob rakhidi bhi. Aru bhoot ke rukhabi, titia tai apuni pora polai jabo.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double-minded.
Isor usorte ahibi, aru Tai bhi apuni laga usorte ahibo. Paapi manu khan, apuni khan laga hath aru duita mon thaka khan bhi nijor mon sapha kori lobi.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into heaviness.
Mon bhitor pora bikhai kene bisi dukh kori kene kandi bhi! Apuni laga hasi to dukh te bodli koribi aru khushi thaka to chinta te bodli kori lobi.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.
Probhu laga usorte nijorke chutu koribi, aru Tai apuni ke uthai dibo.
11 Speak not against one another, brethren; he that speaketh against his brother, or judgeth his brother, speaketh against the law, and judgeth the law; but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
Bhai khan ekjon-ekjon laga biya kotha nokoribi. Kun manu tai laga bhai bhirodh te kotha kore aru niyom laga bhirodh te kotha kori kene, tai nijor pora niyom ke bisar kori loise. Kintu jodi apuni niyom ke bisar kore, apuni niyom mani thaka nohoi, kintu ekjon bisar kora manu ase.
12 One is the Lawgiver and Judge, he who is able to save, and to destroy; but who art thou, that judgest thy neighbor?
Kanun diya aru bisar kora ekjon he ase. Isor he ase kun apnikhan ke bacha bole pare aru khotom bhi kori bole pare. Kintu apuni kun ase, kun nijor laga usorte thaka manu ke bisar kore?
13 Come now, ye that say, To-day and to-morrow we will go into such a city, and spend a year there and traffic, and get gain,
Etiya huni bhi, apuni kun eneka koi, “Aji nohoile kali amikhan etu jagate jabo, aru olop saal ta te thakibo, aru kaam koribo, aru poisa kamabo.”
14 (whereas ye know not what will be on the morrow; for what is your life? Ye are even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away; )
Apuni khan kun aha kali ki hobole ase najane, apuni laga jibon to ki ase? Kelemane apuni ekta dhuwa nisena ase kuntu olop deri nimite ulai aru pichete harai jai.
15 instead of saying, If the Lord will, we shall both live and do this or that;
Hoile bhi, apuni eneka kobole lage, “Jodi Probhu itcha kore, titia amikhan etu koribo.”
16 but now ye glory in your boastings. All such glorying is evil.
Kintu etiya apuni ki kaam khan kori bole bhabona ase, eitu khan nimite phutani kori ase. Eitu khan sob to paap he ase.
17 Therefore to him that knoweth how to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
Kun manu bhal kaam kori bole jane, hoile bhi tai etu nakore, titia tai nimite etu paap ase.
