James 2
1 My brethren, hold not the faith of our Lord of glory, Jesus Christ, with respect of persons.
हे मोरो भाऊवों अऊर बहिनों, हमरो महिमायुक्त प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर तुम्हरो विश्वास पक्षपात को संग नहीं हो।
2 For if there come into your assembly a man with a gold ring, in splendid apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment,
समझो यदि एक धनवान आदमी सोनो को छल्ला अऊर अच्छो कपड़ा पहिन्यो हुयो तुम्हरी सभा म आयेंन, अऊर एक गरीब भी गन्दो कपड़ा पहिन्यो हुयो आये,
3 and ye have respect to him that weareth the splendid apparel, and say, Sit thou here in a good place, and say to the poor man, Stand thou there, or, Sit under my footstool,
अऊर तुम ऊ अच्छो कपड़ा वालो को मुंह देख क कहो, “तय उत अच्छी जागा म बैठ,” अऊर ऊ गरीब सी कहो, “तय इत खड़ो रह,” यां “मोरो पाय को जवर बैठ।”
4 have ye not been partial among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
त का तय न आपस म भेद-भाव नहीं करयो अऊर बुरो बिचार सी न्याय करन वालो नहीं ठहरयो?
5 Hearken, my beloved brethren. Did not God choose the poor as to the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him?
हे मोरो प्रिय भाऊवों अऊर बहिनों, सुनो। का परमेश्वर न यो जगत को गरीबों ख नहीं चुन्यो कि विश्वास म धनी अऊर ऊ राज्य को अधिकारी हो, जेकी प्रतिज्ञा ओन उन्को सी करी हय जो ओको सी प्रेम रखय हंय?
6 but ye have despised the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you, and do not they drag you before the judgment-seats?
पर तुम ऊ गरीब को अपमान करय हय। का धनी लोग तुम पर दबाव नहीं डालय अऊर का हिच तुम्ख कचहरी म घसीट क नहीं ले जावय?
7 Do not they blaspheme the worthy name by which ye are called?
का हि यो नोहोय, जो ऊ अच्छो नाम की निन्दा नहीं करय जो तुम ख दियो गयो हय?
8 If indeed ye fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself,” ye do well.
तब भी यदि तुम पवित्र शास्त्र को यो वचन को अनुसार कि “तय अपनो पड़ोसी सी अपनो जसो प्रेम रख” सचमुच ऊ राज व्यवस्था ख पूरी करय हय, त अच्छोच करय हय।
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
पर यदि तुम लोगों को बाहरी पहरावा देख क व्यवहार करय हय त तुम पाप करय हय; अऊर व्यवस्था तुम्ख नियम को उल्लंघन करन वालो ठहरावय हय।
10 For whoever hath kept the whole law, and yet hath offended in one point, hath become guilty of all.
कहालीकि जो कोयी पूरी व्यवस्था को पालन करय हय पर एकच बात म चूक जाये त ऊ सब बातों म दोषी ठहर चुक्यो हय।
11 For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” said also, “Do not kill.” Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou hast become a transgressor of the law.
येकोलायी कि जेन यो कह्यो, “तय व्यभिचार मत करजो” ओनच यो भी कह्यो, “तय हत्या मत करजो,” येकोलायी यदि तय न व्यभिचार त नहीं करयो पर हत्या करी तब भी तय व्यवस्था को उल्लंघन करन वालो ठहरयो।
12 So speak, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
तुम उन लोगों को जसो वचन बोलो अऊर काम भी करो, जिन्को न्याय ऊ व्यवस्था को अनुसार होयेंन जो हम्ख स्वतंत्र करय हय।
13 For the judgment shall be without mercy to him that showed no mercy. Mercy glorieth against judgment.
येकोलायी जो दयालु नहाय ओको लायी परमेश्वर को न्याय भी बिना दया कोच होयेंन पर दया न्याय पर विजय हय।
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, if any one say that he hath faith, and have not works? Can his faith save him?
हे मोरो भाऊवों अऊर बहिनों, यदि कोयी कहे कि मोख विश्वास हय पर ऊ कर्म नहीं करय हय, त येको सी का फायदा? का असो विश्वास कभी ओको उद्धार कर सकय हय?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
यदि कोयी भाऊ यां बहिन को जवर कम कपड़ा होना अऊर उन्ख हर दिन भोजन की कमी होना,
16 and one of you say to them, Depart in peace, be warmed and be filled, notwithstanding ye give them not the things needful for the body, what doth it profit?
अऊर तुम म सी कोयी उन्को सी कहे, “शान्ति सी जावो, अऊर तुम्ख कपड़ा की कमी नहीं होय तुम स्वस्थ रहो अऊर अच्छो सी खाय क तृप्त रहो,” पर जो चिजे शरीर लायी जरूरी हंय ऊ उन्ख नहीं दे त का फायदा?
17 So also faith, if it hath not works, is dead in itself.
वसोच विश्वास भी हय, यदि कर्म सहित नहीं होना त अपनो स्वभाव म मरयो हुयो हय।
18 But some one will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works; show me thy faith without works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
बल्की कोयी कह्य सकय हय, “तोख विश्वास हय अऊर मय कर्म करू हय।” तय अपनो विश्वास मोख कर्म बिना त दिखाव; अऊर मय अपनो विश्वास अपनो कर्मों को द्वारा तोख दिखाऊं।
19 Thou believest that God is one; thou doest well; the demons also believe, and tremble.
का तोख विश्वास हय कि एकच परमेश्वर हय? तय अच्छो करय हय। दुष्ट आत्मा भी विश्वास रखय, अऊर कापय हंय।
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is idle?
पर हे निकम्मो आदमी, का तय यो भी नहीं जानय कि कर्म बिना विश्वास बेकार हय?
21 Was not Abraham our father accepted as righteous through works, when he offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
जब हमरो पुर्वज अब्राहम न अपनो बेटा इसहाक ख वेदी पर चढ़ायो, त का ऊ कर्मों सी सच्चो नहीं ठहरयो होतो?
22 Thou seest that faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect.
यानेकि तय न देख लियो कि विश्वास न ओको कामों को संग मिल क प्रभाव डाल्यो हय, अऊर कर्मों सी विश्वास सिद्ध भयो,
23 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness;” and he was called the friend of God.
अऊर पवित्र शास्त्र को यो वचन पूरो भयो: “अब्राहम न परमेश्वर को विश्वास करयो, अऊर यो ओको लायी सच्चो ठहरयो;” अऊर ऊ परमेश्वर को संगी कहलायो।
24 Ye see that by works a man is accounted as righteous, and not by faith only.
यो तरह तुम न देख लियो कि आदमी केवल विश्वास सीच नहीं, बल्की कर्मों सी भी सच्चो ठहरय हय।
25 And in like manner was not also Rahab the harlot accounted as righteous through works, when she received the messengers, and sent them out another way?
वसीच राहब वेश्या भी, जब ओन दूतों ख अपनो घर म उतारयो अऊर दूसरों रस्ता सी बिदा करयो, त का कर्मों सी सच्चो नहीं ठहरी?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
यानेकि जसो शरीर आत्मा बिना मरी हुयी हय, वसोच विश्वास भी कर्म बिना मरयो हुयो हय।
