Isaiah 66
1 Thus saith Jehovah: Heaven is my throne, And the earth my footstool; Where is the house that ye can build me, And where is the place of my rest?
Tak mówi PAN: Niebo jest moim tronem, a ziemia podnóżkiem moich stóp. Gdzie więc będzie ten dom, który mi zbudujecie? Gdzie będzie miejsce mego odpoczynku?
2 For all these things hath my hand made; By it do all these things exist, saith Jehovah. But to this man will I look, Even to him who is humble and of a contrite spirit, And who trembleth at my word.
Bo to wszystko moja ręka uczyniła i dzięki niej powstało to wszystko, mówi PAN. Lecz ja patrzę na tego, który jest ubogi i skruszony w duchu i który drży na moje słowo.
3 He that slayeth an ox killeth a man; He that sacrificeth a lamb beheadeth a dog; He that maketh an oblation offereth swine's blood; He that burneth incense blesseth an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, And in their abominations their souls delight.
Ten, kto zabija wołu [na] ofiarę, to jakby zabił człowieka; kto zabija na ofiarę barana, to jakby ściął psu [głowę]; kto przynosi ofiarę, to jakby ofiarował krew świni; kto pali kadzidło, to jakby błogosławił bożkowi. Lecz jak oni wybrali sobie swoje drogi i ich dusza ma upodobanie w obrzydliwościach;
4 I also will choose their calamities; What they dread I will bring upon them; Because I called, and no one answered, I spake, and they did not hear; But they did what is evil in my sight, And chose that in which I have no delight.
Tak i ja wybiorę ich zmyślenia i sprowadzę na nich to, czego się boją, ponieważ gdy wołałem, nikt się nie odezwał, gdy mówiłem, nie słuchali, ale czynili to, co złe w moich oczach, i wybrali to, co mi się nie podobało.
5 Hear the word of Jehovah, Ye that tremble at his word! “Your brethren that hate you, And thrust you out for my name's sake, have said, “May Jehovah be glorified, that we may see your joy!” But they shall be confounded.
Słuchajcie słowa PANA, wy, którzy drżycie na jego słowo. Wasi bracia, którzy was nienawidzą, którzy wypędzają was ze względu na moje imię, mówią: Niech PAN pokaże swoją chwałę. Ukaże się jednak dla waszej radości, a oni będą zawstydzeni.
6 A voice of tumult from the city! A voice from the temple! The voice of Jehovah, rendering recompense to his enemies!
Odgłos zgiełku z miasta, głos ze świątyni, głos PANA oddającego zapłatę swoim wrogom.
7 Before she was in travail, she brought forth, Before her pangs came, she was delivered of a son.
Zanim odczuła bóle porodu, urodziła, zanim ogarnął ją ból, urodziła chłopca.
8 Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Is a country brought forth in a day? Is a nation born at once? For as soon as Zion was in travail, she brought forth her children.
Kto słyszał o czymś takim? Kto widział coś podobnego? Czy ziemia może urodzić w jednym dniu? Czy naród rodzi się od razu? Ale Syjon ledwie zaczął odczuwać bóle, a już urodził swoich synów.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth, saith Jehovah; Shall I, who beget, restrain the birth? saith thy God.
Czyżbym ja, który otwieram łono, nie doprowadził do rodzenia? – mówi PAN. Czyżbym ja, który doprowadzam do rodzenia, zamknął [łono]? – mówi twój Bóg.
10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, And exult for her, all ye that love her! Be very joyful with her, all ye that mourn for her!
Weselcie się z Jerozolimą i radujcie się z nią wszyscy, którzy ją miłujecie. Cieszcie się z nią wielce wszyscy, którzy nad nią płaczecie;
11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied, from the breast of her consolations, That ye may suck and be delighted with the fulness of her glory.
Aby ssać do syta z piersi jej pociech; abyście ssali i rozkoszowali się pełnią jej chwały.
12 For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will bring prosperity to her like a river, And the wealth of the nations like an overflowing stream; Ye shall suck at the breast, Ye shall be carried on the arm, And on the knees shall ye be dandled.
Tak bowiem mówi PAN: Oto skieruję do niej pokój jak rzekę i chwałę narodów jak strumień wezbrany. Wtedy będziecie ssać, będziecie noszeni na rękach i pieszczeni na kolanach.
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, So will I comfort you; And in Jerusalem shall ye be comforted.
Jak tego, którego pociesza matka, tak ja was będę pocieszał; i tak w Jerozolimie doznacie pociechy.
14 Ye shall see, and your heart shall rejoice, And your bones shall flourish like a green plant, And the hand of Jehovah shall be manifested to his servants, And be moved with indignation against his enemies.
Ujrzycie to i rozraduje się wasze serce, a wasze kości zakwitną jak trawa. I będzie rozpoznana ręka PANA wobec jego sług, a jego gniew – wobec jego wrogów.
15 For behold, Jehovah cometh with fire, Like a whirlwind are his chariots, To breathe forth his anger in a glowing heat, And his rebuke in flames of fire.
Oto bowiem PAN przyjdzie w ogniu, a jego rydwany będą jak wicher, by wylać zapalczywość swego gniewu i [ukazać] swoją grozę w płomieniu ognia;
16 For with fire will Jehovah contend, And with his sword, with all flesh, And many shall be the slain of Jehovah.
Gdyż PAN będzie sądził ogniem i mieczem wszelkie ciało, a wielu będzie pobitych przez PANA.
17 They who sanctify and purify themselves in the groves, Following one in the midst, Who eat swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse. They shall all perish together, saith Jehovah.
I ci, którzy się uświęcają i oczyszczają w środku ogrodów, jeden za drugim, którzy jedzą mięso wieprzowe oraz inną obrzydliwość, a także myszy, wszyscy razem zginą – mówi PAN.
18 For I know their works, and their thoughts; The time cometh to gather all nations and tongues together; They shall come, and behold my glory.
Ja znam bowiem ich uczynki i myśli. I przyjdzie czas, że zgromadzę wszystkie narody i języki, a one przyjdą i ujrzą moją chwałę.
19 And I will give a sign among them, And of those that escape I will send to the nations, To Tarshish, Phul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, To the distant coasts, who never heard my name, And who never saw my glory; And they shall declare my glory among the nations.
I ustanowię wśród nich znak i wyślę ocalałych spośród nich do narodów do Tarszisz, Pul i Lud, a tych, którzy naciągają łuk – do Tubala i Jawan, do wysp dalekich, które nic o mnie nie słyszały i nie widziały mojej chwały; i będą głosić moją chwałę wśród narodów.
20 And they shall bring all your brethren From all the nations, an offering to Jehovah, Upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules and dromedaries, To my holy mountain, Jerusalem, saith Jehovah, As the sons of Israel bring their gifts In pure vessels to the house of Jehovah.
I przyprowadzą wszystkich waszych braci jako dar dla PANA ze wszystkich narodów, na koniach, na rydwanach, w lektykach, na mułach i na wielbłądach, na moją świętą górę, do Jerozolimy, mówi PAN, tak jak synowie Izraela przynoszą dar w czystym naczyniu do domu PANA.
21 And of them will I also take For priests and for Levites, saith Jehovah.
I z nich także wezmę sobie kapłanów i Lewitów, mówi PAN.
22 For as the new heavens, And the new earth, which I make, Endure before me, saith Jehovah, So shall your race and your name endure.
Jak bowiem to nowe niebo i ta nowa ziemia, które ja uczynię, będą trwać przede mną, mówi PAN, tak będzie trwać wasze potomstwo i wasze imię.
23 And it shall be, from new moon to new moon, And from sabbath to sabbath, That all flesh shall come and worship before me, saith Jehovah.
I stanie się tak, że od nowiu do nowiu księżyca i od szabatu do szabatu przychodzić będzie wszelkie ciało, aby oddać pokłon przede mną, mówi PAN.
24 Then shall they go forth and see The dead bodies of the men that rebelled against me! For their worm shall not die, And their fire shall not be quenched, And they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.
I gdy wyjdą, zobaczą trupy ludzi, którzy wystąpili przeciwko mnie. Ich robak bowiem nie zdechnie i ich ogień nie zgaśnie, i będą obrzydliwością dla wszelkiego ciała.
