Isaiah 41

1 Keep silence, and hear me, ye distant lands. Ye nations, gather your strength! Let them come near; then let them speak; Let us go together into judgment.

ദ്വീപുകളേ, എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ മിണ്ടാതെ ഇരിപ്പിൻ; ജാതികൾ ശക്തിയെ പുതുക്കട്ടെ; അവർ അടുത്തുവന്നു സംസാരിക്കട്ടെ; നാം തമ്മിൽ ന്യായവാദം ചെയ്യുന്നതിന്നു അടുത്തുവരിക.

2 Who hath raised up from the region of the East Him whom victory meeteth in his march? Who hath subdued nations before him, And given him dominion over kings? Who made their swords like dust, And their bows like driven stubble?

ചെല്ലുന്നെടത്തൊക്കെയും നീതി എതിരേല്ക്കുന്നവനെ കിഴക്കുനിന്നു ഉണർത്തിയതാർ? അവൻ ജാതികളെ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവനെ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ മേൽ വാഴുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവരുടെ വാളിനെ അവൻ പൊടിപോലെയും അവരുടെ വില്ലിനെ പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന താളടിപോലെയും ആക്കിക്കളയുന്നു.

3 He pursued them, and passed in safety, By a path which his foot had never trodden.

അവൻ അവരെ പിന്തുടർന്നു നിർഭയനായി കടന്നു ചെല്ലുന്നു; പാതയിൽ കാൽ വെച്ചല്ല അവൻ പോകുന്നതു.

4 Who hath wrought and done it? I, who have called the generations from the beginning, I, Jehovah, the first; And with the last also am I.

ആർ അതു പ്രവർത്തിക്കയും അനുഷ്ഠിക്കയും ചെയ്തു? ആദിമുതൽ തലമുറകളെ വിളിച്ചവൻ; യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ ആദ്യനും അന്ത്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അനന്യനും ആകുന്നു.

5 Distant nations saw it, and were afraid; The ends of the earth, and trembled; They drew near, and came together.

ദ്വീപുകൾ കണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതികൾ വിറെച്ചു; അവർ ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി അടുത്തുവന്നു;

6 One helped another, And said to him, “Be of good courage!”

അവർ അന്യോന്യം സഹായിച്ചു; ഒരുത്തൻ മറ്റേവനോടു: ധൈര്യമായിരിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7 The carpenter encouraged the smith, He that smoothed with the hammer him that smote on the anvil, And said, “The soldering is good,” And he fastened it with nails that it might not fall.

അങ്ങനെ ആശാരി തട്ടാനെയും കൊല്ലൻ കൂടം തല്ലുന്നവനെയും ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തി കൂട്ടിവിളക്കുന്നതിന്നു ചേലായി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു, ഇളകാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ അതിനെ ആണികൊണ്ടു ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

8 But thou, O Israel, my servant, Thou, Jacob, whom I have chosen, Offspring of Abraham, my friend!

നീയോ, എന്റെ ദാസനായ യിസ്രായേലേ, ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യാക്കോബേ, എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതിയേ, നീ എന്റെ ദാസൻ,

9 Thou, whom I have led by the hand from the ends of the earth, And called from the extremities thereof, And said to thee, “Thou art my servant, I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away!”

ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നിരസിച്ചുകളയാതെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു എടുക്കയും അതിന്റെ മൂലകളിൽനിന്നു വിളിച്ചു ചേർക്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നവനായുള്ളോവേ, നീ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ;

10 Fear not, for I am with thee; Faint not, for I, thy God, will strengthen thee; I will help thee, and sustain thee, with my right hand of salvation!

ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു; ഭ്രമിച്ചുനോക്കേണ്ടാ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശക്തീകരിക്കും; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും; എന്റെ നീതിയുള്ള വലങ്കൈകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ താങ്ങും.

11 Behold, all who are enraged against thee Shall be ashamed and confounded; All that contend with thee Shall come to nothing and perish.

നിന്നോടു കോപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും ലജ്ജിച്ചു അമ്പരന്നുപോകും; നിന്നോടു വിവാദിക്കുന്നവർ നശിച്ചു ഇല്ലാതെയാകും.

12 Thou shalt seek and not find Them that contend with thee; They shall come to nothing, and be no more, Who make war against thee.

നിന്നോടു പോരാടുന്നവരെ നീ അന്വേഷിക്കും; കാണുകയില്ലതാനും; നിന്നോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നവർ നാസ്തിത്വവും ഇല്ലായ്മയുംപോലെ ആകും.

13 For I, Jehovah, am thy God, that holdeth thee by the right hand, That saith to thee, “Fear not, I am thy helper!”

നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്ന ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ പിടിച്ചു നിന്നോടു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, thou feeble people of Israel! I am thy helper, saith Jehovah; Thy redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

പുഴുവായ യാക്കോബേ, യിസ്രായേൽപരിഷയേ, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ തന്നേ.

15 Behold, I will make thee a thrashing-wain, sharp and new, With double edges; Thou shalt thrash the mountains, and beat them small, And make the hills as chaff.

ഇതാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പുതിയതും മൂർച്ചയുള്ളതും പല്ലേറിയതും ആയ മെതിവണ്ടിയാക്കി തീർക്കുന്നു; നീ പർവ്വതങ്ങളെ മെതിച്ചു പൊടിക്കുകയും കുന്നുകളെ പതിർ പോലെ ആക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

16 Thou shalt winnow them, and the wind shall carry them away, And the whirlwind shall scatter them. But thou shalt rejoice in Jehovah, And glory in the Holy One of Israel.

നീ അവയെ പാറ്റും; കാറ്റു അവയെ പറപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകും; ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റു അവയെ ചിതറിച്ചുകളയും; നീയോ യഹോവയിൽ ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനിൽ പുകഴും.

17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, And their tongue is parched with thirst, I, Jehovah, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

എളിയവരും ദരിദ്രന്മാരുമായവർ വെള്ളം തിരഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്നു; ഒട്ടും കിട്ടായ്കയാൽ അവരുടെ നാവു ദാഹംകൊണ്ടു വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു. യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അവർക്കു ഉത്തരം അരുളും; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ ഞാൻ അവരെ കൈവിടുകയില്ല.

18 I will open rivers upon the bare hills, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water.

ഞാൻ പാഴ്മലകളിൽ നദികളെയും താഴ്‌വരകളുടെ നടുവിൽ ഉറവുകളെയും തുറക്കും; മരുഭൂമിയെ ഞാൻ നീർപൊയ്കയും വരണ്ട നിലത്തെ നീരുറവുകളും ആക്കും.

19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia, The myrtle and the olive-tree; I will place in the desert the cypress, The plane-tree and the larch together.

ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ദേവദാരു, ഖദിരമരം, കൊഴുന്തു, ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷം എന്നിവ നടും; ഞാൻ നിർജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്തു സരളവൃക്ഷവും പയിൻമരവും പുന്നയും വെച്ചുപിടിപ്പിക്കും.

20 That they may see, and know, And consider, and understand together, That the hand of Jehovah hath done this, And that the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

യഹോവയുടെ കൈ അതു ചെയ്തു എന്നും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ അതു സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു എന്നും അവരെല്ലാവരും കണ്ടു അറിഞ്ഞു വിചാരിച്ചു ഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

21 Bring forward your cause, saith Jehovah; Produce your strong reasons, saith the king of Jacob.

നിങ്ങളുടെ വ്യവഹാരം കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായങ്ങളെ കാണിപ്പിൻ എന്നു യാക്കോബിന്റെ രാജാവു കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

22 Let them produce them, and show us what shall happen! Tell us what ye have predicted in times past, That we may consider, and know its fulfilment! Or declare to us things that are to come!

സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു അവർ കാണിച്ചു നമ്മോടു പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ; നാം വിചാരിച്ചു അതിന്റെ അവസാനം അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ആദ്യകാര്യങ്ങൾ ഇന്നിന്നവയെന്നു അവർ പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു നമ്മെ കേൾപ്പിക്കട്ടെ.

23 Let us hear what shall happen in future times, That we may know whether ye are gods; Do something, be it good or evil, That we may be astonished, and see it together!

നിങ്ങൾ ദേവന്മാർ എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു മേലാൽ വരുവാനുള്ളതു പ്രസ്താവിപ്പിൻ; ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു വിസ്മയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നന്മയെങ്കിലും തിന്മയെങ്കിലും പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിൻ.

24 Behold, ye are less than nothing, And your work is less than naught; An abomination is he that chooseth you!

നിങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലായ്മയും നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി നാസ്തിയും ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങളെ വരിക്കുന്നവൻ കുത്സിതനത്രേ.

25 I have raised up one from the north, and he cometh; From the rising of the sun he calleth upon my name; He trampleth upon princes as upon mortar; As the potter treadeth down the clay.

ഞാൻ ഒരുത്തനെ വടക്കുനിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; അവൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; സൂര്യോദയദിക്കിൽനിന്നു അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; അവൻ എന്റെ നാമത്തെ ആരാധിക്കും; അവൻ വന്നു ചെളിയെപ്പോലെയും കുശവൻ കളിമണ്ണു ചവിട്ടുന്നതുപോലെയും ദേശാധിപതികളെ ചവിട്ടും.

26 Who hath declared this from the beginning, that we might know it, And long ago, that we might say, It is true? There was not one that foretold it, not one that declared it, Not one that heard your words.

ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ആദിമുതലും അവൻ നീതിമാൻ എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ പറയേണ്ടതിന്നു പണ്ടേയും ആർ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളു? പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാനോ കാണിച്ചുതരുവാനോ നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു കേൾപ്പാനോ ആരും ഇല്ല.

27 I first said to Zion, Behold! behold them! And I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of glad tidings.

ഞാൻ ആദ്യനായി സീയോനോടു: ഇതാ, ഇതാ, അവർ വരുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിന്നു ഞാൻ ഒരു സുവാർത്താദൂതനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

28 I looked, but there was no man; Even among them, but there was none that gave counsel; I inquired of them that they might give an answer;

ഞാൻ നോക്കിയാറെ: ഒരുത്തനുമില്ല; ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചാറെ; ഉത്തരം പറവാൻ അവരിൽ ഒരു ആലോചനക്കാരനും ഇല്ല.

29 But behold, they are all vanity; Their works are nothing; Wind and emptiness are their molten images.

അവരെല്ലാവരും വ്യാജമാകുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ നാസ്തിയത്രേ; അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ കാറ്റും ശൂന്യവും തന്നേ.
