< Isaiah 4 >

1 In that day shall seven women lay hold of one man saying: We will eat our own bread, And wear our own garments, Only let us be called by thy name, And take away our reproach!
Et apprehendent septem mulieres virum unum in die illa, dicentes: Panem nostrum comedemus, et vestimentis nostris operiemur: tantummodo invocetur nomen tuum super nos, aufer opprobrium nostrum.
2 In that day shall the increase of Jehovah be glorious and honorable, And the fruit of the land excellent and beautiful, For them that have escaped of Israel.
In die illa erit germen Domini in magnificentia, et gloria, et fructus terræ sublimis, et exultatio his, qui salvati fuerint de Israel.
3 All that remain in Zion, And all that are left in Jerusalem, Shall be called holy; Every one that is written down for life in Jerusalem.
Et erit: Omnis qui relictus fuerit in Sion, et residuus in Ierusalem, sanctus vocabitur, omnis qui scriptus est in vita in Ierusalem.
4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, And have removed the blood of Jerusalem from the midst of her, By a spirit of judgment and a spirit of destruction,
Si abluerit Dominus sordes filiarum Sion, et sanguinem Ierusalem laverit de medio eius in spiritu iudicii, et spiritu ardoris.
5 Then shall Jehovah create upon the whole extent of mount Zion, and upon her places of assembly, A cloud and smoke by day, And the brightness of a flaming fire by night; Yea, for all that is glorious there shall be a shelter;
Et creabit Dominus super omnem locum Montis Sion, et ubi invocatus est, nubem per diem, et fumum et splendorem ignis flammantis in nocte: super omnem enim gloriam protectio.
6 There shall be a tent by day for a shadow from the heat, And for a refuge and shelter from the storm and rain.
Et tabernaculum erit in umbraculum diei ab æstu, et in securitatem, et absconsionem a turbine, et a pluvia.
