< Isaiah 33 >
1 Woe to thee, thou spoiler, who hast not been spoiled! Thou plunderer, who hast not been plundered! When thou hast ceased to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; When thou hast finished plundering, they shall plunder thee.
Woe to! [the] destroyer and you not [have been] destroyed and [the] traitor and not people have dealt treacherously with him when finishing you destroying you will be destroyed when completing you to deal treacherously people will deal treacherously with you.
2 O Jehovah, have mercy upon us! in thee do we trust; Be thou our strength every morning, Our salvation in the time of trouble.
O Yahweh show favor to us for you we have waited be strength their to the mornings also salvation our in a time of distress.
3 At the voice of thy thunder the people flee; When thou dost arise, the nations are scattered.
From [the] sound of tumult they flee peoples from arising your they scatter nations.
4 Your spoil shall be gathered, as the locust gathereth; As the locust runneth, so shall they run upon it.
And it will be gathered plunder your gathering of locust[s] like [the] rushing of locusts [someone will be] rushing on it.
5 Jehovah is exalted; Yea, he dwelleth on high; He filleth Zion with justice and righteousness.
[is] exalted Yahweh for [he is] dwelling a high place he will fill Zion justice and righteousness.
6 There shall be security in thy times; Wisdom and knowledge shall be thy store of prosperity, And the fear of Jehovah, this shall be thy treasure!
And he will be [the] steadiness of times your wealth of deliverance wisdom and knowledge [the] fear of Yahweh it [will be] treasure his.
7 Behold, the mighty men cry without: The ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.
There! valiant one their they have cried out [the] outside towards messengers of peace bitter they weep!
8 The highways are desolate; The traveller ceaseth; He breaketh the covenant; he despiseth the cities; Of men he maketh no account.
They have been made desolate highways he has ceased [one who] passes by of a path someone has broken a covenant someone has rejected cities not anyone has valued humankind.
9 The land mourneth and languisheth; Lebanon is put to shame, and withered away; Sharon is like a desert, And Bashan and Carmel are stripped of their leaves.
It has dried up it has languished [the] land it has displayed shame Lebanon it has withered it has become Sharon like desert plain and [is] shaking off Bashan and Carmel.
10 Now will I arise, saith Jehovah, Now will I exalt myself, Now will I lift myself up.
Now I will arise he says Yahweh now I will exalt myself now I will lift myself up.
11 Ye shall conceive chaff, and bring forth stubble; Your own wrath is the fire which shall devour you.
You will conceive dry grass you will give birth to stubble breath your [is] a fire [which] it will consume you.
12 The nations shall be burnt into lime; Like thorns cut down, they shall be consumed with fire.
And they will be peoples burnings of lime thornbushes cut down with fire they will be kindled.
13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; Mark, ye that are near, my power!
Hear O distant [ones] [that] which I have done and know O near [ones] strength my.
14 The sinners in Zion are struck with dread; Terror hath seized upon the unrighteous: “Who among us can dwell in devouring fire? Who among us can dwell in everlasting flames?”
They are in dread in Zion sinners it has seized trembling godless [people] who? - will he sojourn of us a fire consuming who? will he sojourn of us hearths of perpetuity.
15 He that walketh in righteousness, And speaketh that which is right, That despiseth the gain of oppression, And shaketh his hands from bribery, That stoppeth his ears, so as not to hear of blood, And shutteth his eyes, so as not to behold iniquity.
[one who] walks Righteousness and [one who] speaks uprightness [one who] rejects unjust gain of extortion [one who] shakes out hands his from taking hold on bribe [one who] shuts ear his from hearing blood and [one who] shuts eyes his from looking on evil.
16 He shall dwell on high; The strongholds of rocks shall be his defence; His bread shall be given him; His water shall not fail.
He high places he will dwell [will be] strongholds of cliffs refuge his food his [will be] given water his [will be] reliable.
17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his glory They shall survey a wide-extended land.
A king in beauty his they will see eyes your they will see a land of distances.
18 Thy heart shall meditate on the past terror: “Where now is the scribe? Where the weigher of tribute? Where he that numbered the towers?”
Heart your it will meditate on terror where? [is one who] counted where? [is one who] weighed where? [is one who] counted the towers.
19 Thou shalt see no more a fierce people, A people of a dark language, which thou couldst not hear, And of a barbarous tongue, which thou couldst not understand;
A people barbarous not you will see a people [too] unintelligible of lip for hearing stammering of tongue there not [is] understanding.
20 Thou shalt see Zion, the city of our solemn feasts; Thine eyes shall behold Jerusalem, as a quiet habitation. A tent that shall never be moved, Whose stakes shall never be taken away, And whose cords shall never be broken.
See Zion [the] town of appointed feast our eyes your they will see Jerusalem a habitation undisturbed a tent [which] not anyone will pack up [which] not anyone will pull out tent pegs its to perpetuity and all ropes its not they will be torn apart.
21 For there the glorious Jehovah will be to us Instead of rivers and broad streams, Which no oared galley shall pass, And no gallant ship go through.
That except there [will be] majestic Yahweh for us a place of rivers canals broad of both hands not it will go on it a ship of rowing and a ship majestic not it will pass along it.
22 For Jehovah is our judge; Jehovah is our lawgiver; Jehovah is our king; it is he that will save us.
For Yahweh [is] judge our Yahweh [is] commander our Yahweh [is] king our he he will deliver us.
23 Thy ropes hang loose; They cannot hold the mast-socket, Nor can they spread the sail. Then shall a great spoil be divided; Even the lame shall take the prey.
They are loose ropes your not they make firm [the] base of mast their not they have spread out [the] sail then it will be divided booty of plunder in abundance lame [people] they will take as spoil spoil.
24 No inhabitant shall say, I am sick; The people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
And not he will say an inhabitant I am sick the people which dwells in it [will be] forgiven of iniquity.
