Isaiah 29
1 Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, The city where David dwelt! Add year to year, Let the festivals go round,
൧അയ്യോ, അരീയേലേ, അരീയേലേ! ദാവീദ് പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരുന്ന നഗരമേ! ആണ്ടോട് ആണ്ട് കൂട്ടുവിൻ; ഉത്സവങ്ങൾ മുറയ്ക്കു വന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കട്ടെ.
2 Then will I distress Ariel; Mourning and sorrow shall be there; Yet shall she be to me as Ariel [[the lion of God]].
൨എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ അരീയേലിനെ ഞെരുക്കും; ദുഃഖവും വിലാപവും ഉണ്ടാകും; അത് എനിക്ക് അരീയേലിനെപോലെ ഇരിക്കും.
3 I will encamp against thee round about, And I will lay siege against thee with a mound, And I will raise towers against thee.
൩ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് വിരോധമായി ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങി മൺകൂനകൊണ്ട് നിന്നെ ഉപരോധിക്കുകയും നിന്റെനേരെ കൊത്തളം ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
4 Thou shalt be brought down, and speak from the ground, And thy speech shall be low from the dust; Thy voice shall be like that of a spirit under ground, And thy speech shall chirp as from the dust.
൪അപ്പോൾ നീ താണു, നിലത്തുനിന്നു സംസാരിക്കും; നിന്റെ വാക്ക് പൊടിയിൽനിന്നു പതുക്കെ വരും; വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്റേതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ഒച്ച നിലത്തുനിന്നു വരും; നിന്റെ വാക്ക് പൊടിയിൽനിന്നു ചിലയ്ക്കും.
5 Yet shall the multitude of thine enemies be like fine dust; The multitude of the terrible like flying chaff; It shall take place suddenly, in a moment.
൫നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ സംഘം നേരിയ പൊടിപോലെയും ഭയങ്കരന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടം, പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന പതിർപോലെയും ഇരിക്കും; അത് ഒരു ക്ഷണമാത്രകൊണ്ടു പെട്ടെന്ന് സംഭവിക്കും.
6 From Jehovah of hosts cometh the visitation With thunder, and earthquake, and great noise, With storm and tempest, And flames of devouring fire.
൬ഇടിമുഴക്കത്തോടും ഭൂകമ്പത്തോടും മഹാനാദത്തോടും കൂടി ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റും ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിജ്വാലയുമായി അത് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയാൽ സന്ദർശിക്കപ്പെടും.
7 As a dream, a vision of the night, Shall be the multitude of all the nations That fight against Ariel, That fight against her and her fortress, And distress her.
൭അരീയേലിന്റെ നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലജനതകളുടെയും കൂട്ടം അതിനും അതിന്റെ കോട്ടയ്ക്കും നേരെ യുദ്ധംചെയ്തു അതിനെ വിഷമിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഏവരും തന്നെ, ഒരു സ്വപ്നംപോലെ, ഒരു രാത്രിദർശനംപോലെ ആകും.
8 As a hungry man dreameth, and lo! he eateth, But awaketh and is still hungry; And as a thirsty man dreameth, and lo! he drinketh, But awaketh, and lo! he is faint and thirsty; So shall it be with the multitude of all the nations That fight against mount Zion.
൮വിശന്നിരിക്കുന്നവൻ താൻ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിട്ട് ഉണരുമ്പോൾ വിശന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവൻ താൻ പാനംചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിട്ട് ഉണരുമ്പോൾ ക്ഷീണിച്ചും ദാഹിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും സീയോൻ പർവ്വതത്തോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലജനതകളുടെയും കൂട്ടം ആയിരിക്കും.
9 Be in amazement and be amazed! Be blinded and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; They stagger, but not with strong drink!
൯വിസ്മയിച്ചു സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോകുവിൻ; അന്ധതപിടിച്ചു കുരുടരായിത്തീരുവിൻ; അവർ മത്തരായിരിക്കുന്നു. വീഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടല്ലതാനും; അവർ ചാഞ്ചാടിനടക്കുന്നു; മദ്യപാനംകൊണ്ടല്ലതാനും.
10 For Jehovah hath poured upon you a spirit of slumber; He hath closed your eyes, the prophets, And covered your heads, the seers;
൧൦യഹോവ ഗാഢനിദ്ര നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ പകർന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണുകളെ അടച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ പ്രവാചകന്മാർക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദർശകന്മാരായ തലവന്മാർക്കും മൂടുപടം ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
11 And so every vision is to you as the words of a sealed book, Which is given to a man that is skilled in writing, Saying, “Read this, I pray thee”; But he answereth, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”
൧൧അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സകലദർശനവും മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങൾ പോലെ ആയിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിനെ അക്ഷരവിദ്യയുള്ള ഒരുവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്ത്: “ഇതൊന്നു വായിക്കണം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ: “എനിക്ക് വയ്യാ; അതിന് മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ” എന്നു പറയും.
12 Or, if he give it to one that is not skilled in writing, Saying, “Read this, I pray thee,” He answereth, “I am not skilled in writing.”
൧൨അല്ല, ആ പുസ്തകം അക്ഷരവിദ്യയില്ലാത്തവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്ത്: “ഇതൊന്നു വായിക്കണം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ: “എനിക്ക് അക്ഷര വിദ്യയില്ല” എന്നു പറയും.
13 Therefore saith the Lord, Since this people draweth near to me with their mouth, And honoreth me with their lips, While their heart is far from me, And their worship of me is according to the commandments of men,
൧൩“ഈ ജനം അടുത്തുവന്നു വായ് കൊണ്ടും അധരംകൊണ്ടും എന്നെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അവർ എങ്കൽനിന്ന് ദൂരത്ത് അകറ്റിവച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടുള്ള അവരുടെ ഭക്തി, മനഃപാഠമാക്കിയ മാനുഷകല്പനയത്രേ.
14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to deal marvellously with this people; Marvellously and wonderfully, For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the prudence of the prudent shall be hid.
൧൪ഇതു കാരണത്താൽ ഞാൻ ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ ഇനിയും ഒരു അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തി, അത്ഭുതവും ആശ്ചര്യവും ആയൊരു പ്രവൃത്തി തന്നെ, ചെയ്യും; അവരുടെ ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ ജ്ഞാനം നശിക്കും; അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാരുടെ ബുദ്ധിയും മറഞ്ഞുപോകും” എന്നു കർത്താവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
15 Woe to them that hide deep their purposes from Jehovah, Whose work is in darkness; That say, Who seeth us? Who knoweth us?
൧൫സ്വന്തം ആലോചനയെ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അഗാധമായി മറച്ചുവയ്ക്കുവാൻ നോക്കുകയും സ്വന്തം പ്രവൃത്തികളെ അന്ധകാരത്തിൽ ചെയ്യുകയും: “ഞങ്ങളെ ആര് കാണുന്നു? ഞങ്ങളെ ആര് അറിയുന്നു” എന്നു പറയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്ക് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
16 Alas, your perverseness! Is the potter to be esteemed as the clay, That the work should say of its maker, He made me not? And the thing formed say of him that formed it, He hath no understanding?
൧൬നിങ്ങൾ കാര്യങ്ങൾ തലകീഴാക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ! കുശവനും കളിമണ്ണും ഒരുപോലെ എന്നു വിചാരിക്കാമോ? ഉണ്ടായത് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയവനെക്കുറിച്ച്: “അവൻ എന്നെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല” എന്നും, ഉരുവായത് ഉരുവാക്കിയവനെക്കുറിച്ച്: “അവനു ബുദ്ധിയില്ല” എന്നും പറയുമോ?
17 Is it not yet a very little while, And Lebanon shall be changed to a fruitful field, And the fruitful field be esteemed a forest.
൧൭ഇനി അല്പകാലംകൊണ്ടു ലെബാനോൻ ഒരു ഉദ്യാനമായി തീരുകയും ഉദ്യാനം വനമായി എണ്ണപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുകയില്ലയോ?
18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, And out of mist and darkness shall the eyes of the blind see.
൧൮ആ നാളിൽ ചെകിടന്മാർ പുസ്തകത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേൾക്കുകയും കരുടന്മാരുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ ഇരുളും അന്ധകാരവും നീങ്ങി കാണുകയും
19 The afflicted shall exceedingly rejoice in Jehovah, And the poor shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.
൧൯സൗമ്യതയുള്ളവർക്കു യഹോവയിൽ സന്തോഷം വർദ്ധിക്കുകയും മനുഷ്യരിൽ സാധുക്കളായവർ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
20 For the oppressor hath come to naught; the scoffer is destroyed; And all that watched for iniquity are cut off;
൨൦ഭയങ്കരൻ നാസ്തിയായും പരിഹാസി ഇല്ലാതെയായും ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
21 Who condemned a man in his cause, And laid snares for him who defended himself in the gate, And with falsehood caused the righteous to fail.
൨൧മനുഷ്യരെ വ്യവഹാരത്തിൽ കുറ്റക്കാരാക്കുകയും പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കൽ ന്യായം വിസ്തരിക്കുന്നവനു കെണിവയ്ക്കുകയും നീതിമാനെ നിസ്സാരകാര്യംകൊണ്ടു ബഹിഷ്കരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരായി നീതികേടിന് കാത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ഏവരും ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
22 Therefore concerning the house of Jacob thus saith Jehovah, He that redeemed Abraham: No more shall Jacob be ashamed, And no more shall his face grow pale.
൨൨ആകയാൽ അബ്രാഹാമിനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്ത യഹോവ യാക്കോബ് ഗൃഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “യാക്കോബ് ഇനി ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോവുകയില്ല; അവന്റെ മുഖം ഇനി വിളറിപ്പോവുകയുമില്ല.
23 For when his children behold the work of my hands in the midst of them, They shall honor my name. They shall honor the Holy One of Jacob, And reverence the God of Israel.
൨൩എന്നാൽ അവൻ, അവന്റെ മക്കൾതന്നെ, അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി കാണുമ്പോൾ അവർ എന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കും; അതേ അവർ യാക്കോബിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുകയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.
24 They that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, And the obstinate shall receive instruction.
൨൪മനോവിഭ്രമമുള്ളവർ ജ്ഞാനം ഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും പിറുപിറുക്കുന്നവർ ഉപദേശം പഠിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും”.
