< Isaiah 23 >
1 The prophecy concerning Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish! For it is laid waste; No house, no entrance is left! From the land of the Chittaeans were the tidings brought to them.
Ọ̀rọ̀-ìmọ̀ tí ó kan Tire. Hu, ìwọ ọkọ̀ ojú omi Tarṣiṣi! Nítorí a ti pa Tire run láìsí ilé tàbí èbúté. Láti ilẹ̀ Saipurọsi ni ọ̀rọ̀ ti wá sọ́dọ̀ wọn.
2 Be amazed, ye inhabitants of the sea-coast, Which the merchants of Sidon, that pass over the sea, did crowd!
Dákẹ́ jẹ́ẹ́, ẹ̀yin ènìyàn erékùṣù àti ẹ̀yin oníṣòwò ti Sidoni, ẹ̀yin tí àwọn a wẹ Òkun ti sọ dọlọ́rọ̀.
3 Upon the wide waters, the corn of the Nile, The harvest of the river, was her revenue; She was the mart of the nations.
Láti orí àwọn omi ńlá ni irúgbìn ìyẹ̀fun ti ilẹ̀ Ṣihori ti wá; ìkórè ti odò Naili ni owóòná Tire, òun sì ti di ibùjókòó ọjà fún àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè.
4 Be thou ashamed, O Sidon, for the sea hath spoken, The fortress of the sea hath spoken thus: “I have not travailed, nor brought forth children; I have not nourished youths, nor brought up virgins.”
Kí ojú kí ó tì ọ́, ìwọ Sidoni àti ìwọ àní ìwọ ilé ààbò ti Òkun, nítorí Òkun ti sọ̀rọ̀. “Èmi kò tí ì wà ní ipò ìrọbí tàbí ìbímọ rí Èmi kò tí ì wo àwọn ọmọkùnrin tàbí kí n tọ́ àwọn ọmọbìnrin dàgbà rí.”
5 When the tidings shall reach Egypt, They shall be filled with anguish at the tidings concerning Tyre.
Nígbà tí ọ̀rọ̀ bá dé Ejibiti, wọn yóò wà ní ìpayínkeke nípa ìròyìn láti Tire.
6 Pass ye over to Tarshish; Howl, ye inhabitants of the sea-coast!
Kọjá wá sí Tarṣiṣi; pohùnréré, ẹ̀yin ènìyàn erékùṣù.
7 Is this your joyous city, Whose antiquity is of ancient days? Now her own feet bear her To sojourn far away.
Ǹjẹ́ èyí náà ni ìlú àríyá yín, ògbólógbòó ìlú náà, èyí tí ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ ti sìn ín lọ láti lọ tẹ̀dó sí ilẹ̀ tí ó jìnnà réré.
8 Who hath purposed this against Tyre, The dispenser of crowns, Whose merchants are princes, Whose traders the nobles of the earth?
Ta ló gbèrò èyí sí Tire, ìlú aládé, àwọn oníṣòwò ẹni tí ó jẹ́ ọmọ-aládé tí àwọn oníṣòwò wọ́n jẹ́ ìlúmọ̀míká ní orílẹ̀ ayé?
9 Jehovah of hosts hath purposed it, To bring down the pride of all glory, To humble the nobles of the earth.
Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun ti ṣètò rẹ̀, láti tẹrí ìgbéraga àti ògo rẹ ba àti láti rẹ gbogbo àwọn ọlọ́lá ilé ayé sílẹ̀.
10 Go over thy land like the Nile, O daughter of Tarshish! Now thy bonds are broken.
Tu ilẹ̀ rẹ gẹ́gẹ́ bí i ti ipadò odò Ejibiti, ìwọ ọmọbìnrin Tarṣiṣi, nítorí ìwọ kò ní èbúté mọ́.
11 He hath stretched out his hand over the sea, He hath made the kingdoms tremble; Jehovah hath given commandment concerning Canaan To destroy her strong holds.

12 He hath said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, Thou ravished virgin, daughter of Sidon! Arise, pass over to the Chittaeans; Yet even there shalt thou have no rest.
Ó wí pé, “Kò sí àríyá fún ọ mọ́, ìwọ wúńdíá ti Sidoni, tí a ti tẹ̀ mọ́lẹ̀ báyìí! “Gbéra, rékọjá lọ sí Saipurọsi, níbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú o kì yóò ní ìsinmi.”
13 Behold the land of the Chaldaeans, Who, not long ago, were not a people, —The Assyrian assigned it to the inhabitants of the wilderness, —They raise their watch-towers; They destroy her palaces; They make her a heap of ruins.
Bojú wo ilẹ̀ àwọn ará Babeli, àwọn ènìyàn tí kò jámọ́ nǹkan kan báyìí. Àwọn Asiria ti sọ ọ́ di ibùgbé àwọn ohun ẹranko aginjù; wọn ti gbé ilé ìṣọ́ ìtẹ̀gùn wọn sókè, wọ́n ti tú odi rẹ̀ sí ìhòhò wọ́n sì ti sọ ọ́ di ààtàn.
14 Howl, ye ships of Tarshish! For your stronghold is destroyed.
Hu, ìwọ ọkọ̀ ojú omi Tarṣiṣi; wọ́n ti pa odi rẹ̀ run!
15 And it shall come to pass in that day, That Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, According to the days of one king; But at the end of seventy years It shall be with Tyre as in the song of the harlot:
Ní àkókò náà a ó gbàgbé Tire fún àádọ́rin ọdún, ọjọ́ ayé ọba kan. Ṣùgbọ́n ní òpin àádọ́rin ọdún wọ̀nyí, yóò ṣẹlẹ̀ sí Tire gẹ́gẹ́ bí orin àgbèrè:
16 “Take thy lyre, go about the city, O harlot, long forgotten; Make sweet melody; sing many songs, That thou mayst again be remembered!”
“Mú dùùrù kan, rìn kọjá láàrín ìlú, ìwọ àgbèrè tí a ti gbàgbé; lu dùùrù dáradára, kọ ọ̀pọ̀ orin, kí a lè ba à rántí rẹ.”
17 At the end of seventy years shall Jehovah show regard to Tyre, And she shall return to her hire, And play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world, That are upon the face of the earth.
Ní òpin àádọ́rin ọdún náà, Olúwa yóò bá Tire jà. Òun yóò sì padà sí àyálò rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí panṣágà, yóò sì máa ṣe òwò rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn ilẹ̀ ọba tí ó wà ní ilẹ̀ ayé.
18 But her gain and her hire shall be holy to Jehovah; It shall not be treasured, nor laid up in store; But it shall be for them that dwell before Jehovah, For abundant food, and for splendid clothing.
Síbẹ̀síbẹ̀ èrè rẹ̀ àti owó iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ ni a ó yà sọ́tọ̀ fún Olúwa; a kò ní kó wọn pamọ́ tàbí kí a há wọn mọ́wọ́. Ère rẹ̀ ni a ó fi fún àwọn tí ó ń gbé níwájú Olúwa, fún ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ oúnjẹ àti aṣọ.
