< Isaiah 21 >

1 The prophecy concerning the desert of the sea. As storms which rush along through the south, So it cometh from the desert, From the terrible land.
Ty nibangoeñe i fatram-bei’ i riakeiy: Manahake ty famaoha’ o tio-bey tatimoo, ie miboak’ an-dratraratra hirik’ an-tane mampangebahebak’ añe.
2 A grievous vision was revealed to me; The plunderer plundereth, and the destroyer destroyeth. “Go up, O Elam! Besiege, O Media! All sighing do I make to cease.”
Naboak’ amako ty aroñaroñe mampioremeñe: Ty mpamañahy mamañahy, ty mpamaoke mamaoke. Mionjona ry Elame! Miarikoboña, ry Maday! Fa hene nampitsiñeko o fiselekaiñañeo.
3 Therefore are my loins full of pain; Pangs have seized me, as the pangs of a woman in travail; For convulsions I cannot hear; For anguish I cannot see.
Aa le mikoritoke avao ty vaniako; mamihiñe ahy ty fitsongoañe, manahake ty fitsongon’ ampela mañèñe; mikoretse iraho le tsy mahatsanoñe, miroreke tsy mahafañente.
4 My heart panteth, Terror hath seized upon me; The evening of my desire is changed into horror.
Mifejofejo ty troko; mampirevendreveñ’ahiko ty tahotse; nivalike ho fineveneverañe i palipalitsieñe nisalalaeko.
5 The table is prepared; the watch is set; They eat; they drink; “Arise, ye princes! Anoint the shield!”
Nihalankañeñe i fandambañañey, nalamake i tihiy, nikama naho ninoñe; Miongaha ry roandriañeo, hosoro o fikalan-defoñeo.
6 For thus said the Lord unto me: “Go, set a watchman, Who shall declare what he seeth.”
Fa zao ty nafè’ i Talè amako: Akia, ajadoño ty mpijilo; adono hitalily ze talake’e.
7 And he saw a troop, horsemen in pairs, Riders on asses, and riders on camels, And he watched with the utmost heed.
Nahaisake firimboñañe re reketse mpiningi-tsoavala ki-roe roe, mpijòm-borìke naho mpitoboke an-drameva; mitsendreñe amy zao re, mitsatsike.
8 Then he cried like a lion: “My Lord, I stand continually upon the watch-tower in the daytime, And keep my post all the night;
Nikaikaihe’e hoe liona: O talè, Mitolom-pijagarodoñe am-pitalakesañ’ abo atoy iraho te handro, le mijohañe am-pijilovako ey te haleñe.
9 And behold, there cometh a troop, Horsemen in pairs.” Again also he lifted up his voice, and said: “Fallen, fallen is Babylon, And all the graven images of her gods are cast broken to the ground.”
Heheke ondaty lia-raikeo, mpiningi-tsoavala kiroe-roe. Manoiñe ka re manao ty hoe: Rotsake, Rotsake t’i Bavele; fonga nivolentsa an-tane eo o saren-drahare’eo.
10 O my threshing, and the corn of my floor! What I have heard from Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, That have I declared to you.
O ry linisakoo, ry anako an-toem-pamofohakoo, Hampahafohineko anahareo o raha tsinanoko am’ Iehovà’ i maroio, i Andrianañahare’ Israeley.
11 The prophecy concerning Dumah. A voice came to me from Seir: “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?”
Ty nibangoeñe i Domà: Mikoike amako ty boak’e Seire: O mpigaritseo, manao akore i haleñey? O mpijiloo, akore ty haleñe toy?
12 The watchman saith: “Morning cometh, and also night. If ye will inquire, inquire! Return, come!”
Hoe i mpigaritsey: Hiporea’ ty maraindray, fa ho avy ka ty haleñe— ihe hañontane le mañontanea; mibaliha indraike!
13 The prophecy against the Arabians. In the thickets of Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye caravans of Dedan!
Ty entañe ho amy Arabe: Amo rongo-matahe’ i Arabeo ty hitobea’ areo ry mpivorontsa’ i Dedaneo.
14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema Bring water to the thirsty; They come to meet the fugitive with bread.
Ry mpimone’ i Temao, anjotsò rano i taliñiereñey; Salakao ama’ mahakama o nivoratsakeo.
15 For they flee from swords, From the drawn sword, And from the bent bow, And from the fury of war.
Ie nilaisa’ iareo o fibarao, i mesolava napotsoañey, naho i fale nibitsokey, vaho ty fanindria’ i aliy.
16 For thus saith the Lord to me: Within one year, according to the years of a hireling, Shall all the glory of Kedar be consumed.
Fa zao ty nafè’ i Talè amako: Añate ty taoñe raike, ami’ty fañiaham-pikarama, le ho hene modo ty enge’ i Kedare.
17 The remainder of the mighty bowmen of the sons of Kedar shall be diminished; For Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath said it.
Le tsy ho ampeampe ty sengaha’ o mpitàm-paleo, o lahilahy manjofake amo ana-Kedareoo; fa izay ty nitsara’ Iehovà, Andrianañahare’ Israele.
