Isaiah 19
1 The prophecy concerning Egypt. Behold, Jehovah rideth upon a swift cloud, And cometh to Egypt; The gods of Egypt tremble at his presence, And the heart of Egypt melteth within her.
Nkɔmhyɛ a ɛtia Misraim: Monhwɛ! Awurade nam ahoɔherɛ omununkum mu na ɔreba Misraim. Misraim ahoni ho popo wɔ nʼanim, na Misraimfoɔ akoma boto wɔ wɔn mu.
2 “I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians; Brother shall fight against brother, And neighbor against neighbor; City against city, And kingdom against kingdom.
“Mɛma Misraimfoɔ atwa wɔn ho ako, onua bɛko atia onua, ɔyɔnko atia ɔyɔnko, kuropɔn atia kuropɔn, ahennie atia ahennie.
3 The spirit of Egypt shall fail within her, And her devices I will bring to naught. Then shall they consult the idols, and the sorcerers, And the necromancers, and the wizards.
Misraimfoɔ no renya abodwo, na mɛma wɔn nhyehyɛeɛ ayɛ ɔkwa. Wɔbɛkɔ abisa wɔ ahoni, ne awufoɔ ahonhom, asamanfrɛfoɔ ne nkonyaayifoɔ nkyɛn.
4 But I will give up the Egyptians to the hands of a cruel lord, And a fierce king shall rule over them,” Saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.
Mede Misraim bɛhyɛ owura tirimuɔdenfoɔ bi tumi ase, na ɔhene a ɔyɛ keka bɛdi wɔn so,” sɛdeɛ Asafo Awurade seɛ nie.
5 Then shall the waters fail from the river, Yea, the river shall be wasted and dried up.
Nsubɔntene mu nsuo bɛwe, na nkonkɔn bɛwo ayɛ wesee.
6 The streams shall become putrid; The canals of Egypt shall be emptied and dried up; The reed and the rush shall wither.
Nsuka bɛyi hwa; na nsuwa a ɛwɔ Misraim bɛtwe na awe. Demmire ne ɛserɛ bɛdwan,
7 The meadows by the river, by the borders of the river, And all that groweth by the river, Shall wither, be blasted, and be no more.
Nil nsunoa nnua nso, deɛ ɛwɔ asubɔnten no abɔeɛ no. Nil nsunoa so mfuo nyinaa bɛwo wesee na awu koraa.
8 Then shall the fishermen mourn; All they that cast the hook into the river shall lament, And they that spread nets upon the face of the waters shall languish.
Afarefoɔ nyinaa bɛsi apinie atwa adwo, wɔn a wɔto darewa wɔ Nil mu nyinaa; wɔn a wɔgu asau wɔ nsuo no so bɛdi awerɛhoɔ.
9 They, also, that work in flax, And they that weave white linen, shall be confounded.
Wɔn a wɔde asaawa yɛ adwuma aba mu bɛbu, wɔn a wɔnwono nnwera no anidasoɔ bɛsa.
10 Her pillars are broken down, And all who labor for hire are grieved in heart.
Wɔn a wɔyɛ ntoma ho adwuma bɛyɛ mmɔbɔ na wɔn a wɔgye akatua nyinaa akoma bɛboto.
11 Surely the princes of Zoan are fools; The wise counsellors of Pharaoh have been stupid in their counsels. How, then, can ye say to Pharaoh, “I am the son of the wise, The son of ancient kings”?
Soan adwumayɛfoɔ nka hwee sɛ nkwaseafoɔ; Farao agyinatufoɔ anyansafoɔ ma afutu bɔne. Ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na woaka akyerɛ Farao sɛ, “Meyɛ anyansafoɔ no mu baako, tete ahemfo no kyidifoɔ?”
12 Where are they now, thy wise men? Let them tell thee now, so that men may know it, What Jehovah of hosts hath determined concerning Egypt!
Wʼanyansafoɔ no wɔ he afei? Ma wɔnkyerɛ wo na ma wɔnhunu deɛ Asafo Awurade ahyehyɛ atia Misraim.
13 The princes of Zoan are become fools; The princes of Noph are deceived, Even the chiefs of her tribes have caused Egypt to err.
Soan adwumayɛfoɔ abɛyɛ nkwaseafoɔ, wɔadaadaa Memfis akwankyerɛfoɔ ne nnipa no ntuanofoɔ ama Misraim afom ɛkwan.
14 Jehovah hath mingled within her a spirit of perverseness, And they have caused Egypt to err in all her works, As a drunkard staggereth in his vomit.
Awurade ahwie anisobirie honhom agu wɔn mu; wɔma Misraim tɔ ntintan wɔ biribiara a ɔyɛ mu, te sɛ deɛ ɔsabofoɔ de ne feɛ fɔre ne ho.
15 There shall be nothing which can be done by Egypt, By the head, or the tail, the palm-branch, or the rush.
Biribiara nni hɔ a Misraim bɛtumi ayɛ; obiara rentumi nyɛ hwee, sɛ ɔyɛ etire anaa ɛtoɔ, anaa sɛ ɔyɛ berɛ anaa demmire.
16 In that day shall the Egyptians be like women; They shall tremble and fear On account of the shaking of the hand of Jehovah of hosts, Which he shall shake against them.
Saa ɛda no, Misraimfoɔ bɛyɛ sɛ mmaa, Asafo Awurade nsa a wama so atia wɔn no bɛma wɔn abɔ hu na wɔn ho apopo.
17 The land of Judah shall be a terror to Egypt; Every one to whom it is mentioned shall tremble On account of the purpose of Jehovah of hosts, Which he hath determined against them.
Na Yuda asase no bɛma Misraimfoɔ abɔ hu. Obiara a ɔbɛte Yuda din no bɛsuro, ɛsiane deɛ Asafo Awurade rehyehyɛ atia wɔn enti.
18 In that day there shall be five cities in the land of Egypt Speaking the language of Canaan, And swearing by Jehovah of hosts; One of them shall be called the City of the Sun.
Saa ɛda no, Misraim nkuropɔn enum bɛka Kanaan kasa na wɔaka Asafo Awurade ntam. Wɔbɛfrɛ wɔn mu baako Ɔsɛeɛ Kuropɔn.
19 In that day there shall be an altar to Jehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, And in the border of it a pillar to Jehovah,
Saa ɛda no, wɔbɛsi afɔrebukyia wɔ Misraim mfimfini ama Awurade, na wɔasi nkaeɛdum wɔ ne hyeɛ so nso ama Awurade.
20 Which shall be a sign and a witness For Jehovah of hosts in the land of Egypt, That they cried to Jehovah on account of their oppressors, And he sent them a saviour, and a defender, who delivered them.
Ɛbɛyɛ nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ ne adansedeɛ ama Asafo Awurade wɔ Misraim asase so. Sɛ wɔn nhyɛsofoɔ enti wɔsu frɛ Awurade a, ɔbɛsoma ɔgyefoɔ ne banbɔni bi, na ɔbɛgye wɔn.
21 Thus shall Jehovah be made known to Egypt, And the Egyptians shall know Jehovah in that day, And shall offer him sacrifices and oblations; They shall make vows to Jehovah, and perform them.
Enti Awurade bɛda ne ho adi akyerɛ Misraimfoɔ, na saa da no wɔbɛhunu Awurade. Wɔde afɔrebɔ ne nnuane bɛsom, wɔbɛhyɛ Awurade bɔ, na wɔadi so.
22 Thus Jehovah will smite Egypt; he will smite and heal her; They shall return to Jehovah; Therefore will he hear and heal them.
Awurade de ɔyaredɔm bɛbɔ Misraim; ɔde bɛbɔ wɔn na wasa wɔn yadeɛ. Wɔbɛdane akɔ Awurade nkyɛn, na ɔbɛtie wɔn sufrɛ, na wasa wɔn yadeɛ.
23 In that day shall there he a highway from Egypt to Assyria, And the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, And the Egyptian into Assyria, And the Egyptians shall worship with the Assyrians.
Saa ɛda no, ɛkwantempɔn bɛfiri Misraim ne Asiria. Asiriafoɔ bɛkɔ Misraim na Misraimfoɔ akɔ Asiria. Misraimfoɔ ne Asiriafoɔ bɛbɔ mu asom.
24 In that day shall Israel be the third In connection with Egypt and Assyria, A blessing in the midst of the earth.
Saa ɛda no Israel bɛtɔ Misraim ne Asiria so mmiɛnsa, ayɛ nhyira wɔ asase so.
25 Jehovah of hosts shall bless them, and say, Blessed be Egypt, my people, And Assyria, the work of my hands, And Israel, my inheritance!
Na Asafo Awurade bɛhyira wɔn aka sɛ, “Nhyira nka Misraim, me nkurɔfoɔ. Nhyira nka Asiria me nsa ano adwuma. Nhyira nka Israel mʼagyapadeɛ.”
