Isaiah 16
1 Send ye the lambs to the ruler of the land, From Selah through the wilderness To the mount of the daughter of Zion!
૧અરણ્યને માર્ગે સેલાથી સિયોનની દીકરીના પર્વતની પાસે દેશના અમલદારને માટે હલવાન મોકલો.
2 For as a wandering bird, As a forthdriven nest, So shall be the daughters of Moab At the fords of Arnon; [[saying, ]]
૨માળા તોડી પાડ્યાને લીધે ભટકતા પક્ષી જેવી મોઆબની સ્ત્રીઓ આર્નોન નદીના કિનારા પર આવશે.
3 “Offer counsel; give decision, Make thy shadow at noonday like the darkness of night. Hide the outcasts; Betray not the fugitives.
૩“સલાહ આપો, ઇનસાફ કરો; બપોરે તારી છાયા રાતના જેવી કર; કાઢી મૂકેલાઓને સંતાડ; ભટકનારાઓનો વિશ્વાસઘાત કરીશ નહિ.
4 Let my outcasts dwell with thee, [[O Zion!]] Be thou to them a covert from the spoiler! For the extortion is at an end, The spoiling ceaseth. The oppressors are consumed from the land.
૪મોઆબના કાઢી મૂકેલાઓને તારી પાસે રહેવા દે, તેઓનો વિનાશ કરનારાઓથી તેઓનું સંતાવાનું સ્થાન થા.” કેમ કે જુલમનો અંત આવશે અને વિનાશ બંધ થઈ જશે, જેઓ દેશને પગતળે છૂંદી નાખનારા હતા તેઓ દેશમાંથી ચાલ્યા ગયા હશે.
5 Then shall your throne be established through mercy, And upon it shall sit in the house of David A judge searching for justice, and prompt in equity.”
૫ત્યારે કૃપામાં એક સિંહાસન સ્થાપિત કરવામાં આવશે; અને દાઉદના તંબુમાંથી તે પર એક સત્યનિષ્ઠ પુરુષ વિશ્વાસુપણે બિરાજશે. જેમ તે ન્યાય ચાહે છે તેમ તે ઇનસાફ કરશે અને પ્રામાણિકપણે વર્તશે.
6 “We have beard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud; His haughtiness, and his pride, and his insolence, His vain boastings.”
૬અમે મોઆબના ઘમંડ, તેના અહંકાર, તેની બડાઈ અને તેના ક્રોધ વિષે સાંભળ્યું છે. પણ તેની બડાશો ખાલી બકવાસ જ છે.
7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab; Every one shall howl; For the ruins of Kir-hares shall ye mourn, In deep affliction.
૭તેથી મોઆબ મોઆબને માટે વિલાપ કરશે, તેઓમાંના દરેક વિલાપ કરશે. ઘણો માર ખાઈને કીર-હરેસેથની સૂકી દ્રાક્ષવાડીઓને માટે તમે શોક કરશો.
8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, The lords of the nations break down the choicest shoots of the vine of Sibmah, They reached even to Jazer; they wandered into the desert; Her branches were spread out; they crossed the sea.
૮કેમ કે હેશ્બોનનાં ખેતરો અને સિબ્માહની દ્રાક્ષવાડીઓ કસ વગરની થઈ ગઈ છે. દેશના અધિપતિઓએ ઉત્તમ દ્રાક્ષાને પગ તળે ખૂંદી નાખી છે, તેઓ યાઝેર સુધી પહોંચતી, અરણ્યમાં ફેલાવો પામતી. તેની ડાળીઓ વિદેશમાં પસરી જતી, તેઓ સમુદ્રને પાર જતી.
9 Therefore I will weep, like Jazer, for the vine of Sibmah; I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealah, For upon thy summer fruits, and thy harvest, the war-shout is fallen.
૯તેથી યાઝેરના રુદનની સાથે હું સિબ્માહની દ્રાક્ષવાડીને માટે રડીશ; હે હેશ્બોન તથા એલઆલેહ, હું તને મારાં આંસુઓથી સિંચીશ. કેમ કે તારા ઉનાળાંનાં ફળ પર તથા તારી ફસલ પર હર્ષનાદ થયો છે.
10 Gladness and joy are driven from the fruitful field, And in the vineyards is no singing nor shouting; The treaders tread out no wine in their vats; I have made the vintage-shouting to cease.
૧૦ફળવંત ખેતરમાંથી આનંદ તથા હર્ષ જતાં રહ્યાં છે; દ્રાક્ષવાડીઓમાં ગીત ગવાશે નહિ, હર્ષનાદ થશે નહિ. દ્રાક્ષકુંડોમાં કોઈ ખૂંદનાર દ્રાક્ષારસ કાઢશે નહિ; મેં હર્ષનાં ગાયન બંધ કર્યાં છે.
11 Therefore shall my bowels sound like a harp for Moab, And my inward parts for Kir-hares.
૧૧તેથી મારું હૃદય મોઆબને માટે વીણાની જેમ વાગે છે અને કીર-હેરેસને માટે મારી આંતરડી કકળે છે.
12 And it shall come to pass that though Moab present himself, Though he weary himself upon his high places, And go up to his sanctuary to pray, Yet shall he not prevail.
૧૨જ્યારે મોઆબ દેખાશે અને ઉચ્ચસ્થાનો પર ચઢતાં થાકી જશે, અને પોતાના સભાસ્થાનમાં પ્રાર્થના કરવા માટે જશે, ત્યારે તેની પ્રાર્થનાથી કંઈ પ્રાપ્ત થશે નહિ.
13 This is the word which Jehovah spake concerning Moab of old.
૧૩યહોવાહે મોઆબ વિષે જે વાત અગાઉથી કહી હતી તે એ છે.
14 But now saith Jehovah: Within three years, like the years of a hireling, The glory of Moab shall be put to shame, With all his great multitude; And the remnant shall be very small, and without strength.
૧૪ફરીથી યહોવાહે આ પ્રમાણે કહ્યું, “ત્રણ વર્ષની અંદર મોઆબનું ગૌરવ અદ્રશ્ય થઈ જશે; તેના ઘણા લોકો તુચ્છ ગણાશે અને તેનો શેષ બહુ થોડો તથા વિસાત વગરનો રહેશે.”
