Isaiah 13
1 A prophecy concerning Babylon, which Isaiah, the son of Amoz, saw.
१आमोजाचा पुत्र यशया याने बाबेलाविषयी स्विकारलेली घोषणा.
2 Upon the bare mountain lift up a banner; Cry aloud to them, wave the hand, That they may enter the gates of the tyrants!
२उघडया डोंगरावर इशारा देणारा ध्वज उभारा, त्यांना मोठयाने हाक मारा, त्यांनी सरदारांच्या द्वारात यावे म्हणून त्यांना हाताने खुणवा.
3 I have given orders to my consecrated ones, Yea, I have called upon my mighty ones to execute mine anger, My proud exulters!
३मी आपल्या पवित्र केलेल्यांस आज्ञा केली आहे, होय, माझ्या क्रोधास्तव मी माझ्या पराक्रमी लोकांस, तसेच गर्वाने उल्लासीत होणाऱ्या माझ्या लोकांस बोलाविले आहे.
4 The noise of a multitude upon the mountains, like that of a great people! The tumultuous noise of kingdoms, of nations gathered together! Jehovah of hosts mustereth his army for battle.
४अनेक लोकांच्या समुदायाच्या गोंगाटाप्रमाणे, अनेक राष्ट्रांच्या राजाच्या एकत्र जमल्याप्रमाणे डोंगरात गलबला होत आहे. सेनाधीश परमेश्वर लढाईसाठी फौज तयार करत आहे.
5 They come from a distant country, From the end of Heaven, Jehovah and the instruments of his indignation. To lay waste the whole land.
५ते दूर देशातून, दिगंतापासून येत आहेत. परमेश्वर त्याच्या न्यायाच्या शस्त्रांसहीत संपूर्ण देशाचा नाश करावयास येत आहे.
6 Howl ye, for the day of Jehovah is at hand! Like a destruction from the Almighty, it cometh;
६आक्रोश करा, कारण परमेश्वराचा दिवस समीप आहे; सर्वसमर्थाकडून विनाशासहीत तो येत आहे.
7 Therefore shall all hands hang down, And every heart of man shall melt.
७त्यामुळे सर्व हात गळाले आहेत, आणि प्रत्येक हृदय विरघळले आहे;
8 They shall be in consternation; Distress and anguish shall lay hold of them; As a woman in travail shall they writhe; They shall look upon one another with amazement: Their faces shall glow like flames.
८ते अगदी घाबरतील; प्रसूत होणाऱ्या स्त्रीप्रमाणे वेणा व वेदना यांनी त्यांना घेरले आहे. ते विस्मयाने एकमेकांकडे पाहतील; त्यांची मुखे ज्वालेच्या मुखांसारखी होतील.
9 Behold! the day of Jehovah cometh, Terrible, full of wrath and burning indignation, To make the land a waste, And to destroy the sinners out of it.
९पाहा, क्रोध आणि संतापाने भरून वाहणारा रोष, असा परमेश्वराचा दिवस येत आहे अशासाठी की देश उजाड आणि तिच्यातून पाप्यांचा नाश करायला येत आहे.
10 For the stars of heaven, and the constellations thereof, Shall not give their light; The sun shall be darkened at his going forth, And the moon shall withhold her light.
१०आकाशाचे तारे आणि नक्षत्रे आपला प्रकाश देणार नाहीत. अरुणोदयापासूनच सूर्य अंधकारमय होईल आणि चंद्र प्रकाशणार नाही.
11 For I will punish the world for its guilt, And the wicked for their iniquity. I will put an end to the arrogance of the proud, And I will bring down the haughtiness of the tyrants.
११मी जगाला त्यांच्या वाईटासाठी आणि दुष्टांला त्यांच्या अपराधासाठी शिक्षा करीन. मी गर्विष्ठांचा उद्धटपणा आणि निर्दयांचा गर्व उतरवील.
12 I will make men scarcer than gold; Yea, men than the gold of Ophir.
१२मी पुरुषांना उत्कृष्ट सोन्यापेक्षा अधिक दुर्मिळ करील आणि मानवजात ओफीरच्या शुध्द सोन्याहून शोधण्यास कठिण करील.
13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, And the earth shall be shaken out of her place, In the anger of Jehovah of hosts, In the day of his burning indignation.
१३म्हणून मी आकाश हादरून सोडील, व पृथ्वी तिच्या स्थानावरून हालविली जाईल, सेनाधीश परमेश्वराचा संताप आणि त्याच्या तीव्र क्रोधाचा दिवस येईल.
14 Then shall they be like a chased doe; Like a flock, which no one gathereth together; Every one shall turn to his own people, And every one flee to his own land.
१४शिकारी झालेल्या हरिणाप्रमाणे किंवा मेंढपाळ नसलेल्या मेंढराप्रमाणे, प्रत्येक मनुष्य आपल्या स्वतःच्या लोकाकडे वळेल आणि आपल्या देशाकडे पळून जाईल.
15 Every one that is overtaken shall be thrust through, And every one that is caught shall fall by the sword.
१५जो कोणी सापडेल त्यास मारण्यात येईल आणि जो कोणी पकडला जाईल त्यास तलवारीने मारण्यात येईल.
16 Their children shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; Their houses shall be plundered, and their wives ravished.
१६त्यांच्या डोळ्यादेखत त्यांची बालके आपटून तुकडे तुकडे करण्यात येतील. त्यांची घरे लुटली जातील आणि त्यांच्या स्त्रियांवर बलात्कार होतील.
17 Behold, I stir up against them the Medes, Who make no account of silver, And as to gold, they do not regard it.
१७पाहा, मी त्यांच्याविरुद्ध माद्य लोकांस हल्ला करण्यासाठी उठवीन, ते रुप्याबद्दल पर्वा करणार नाहीत किंवा ते सोन्याने आनंदीत होणार नाही.
18 Their bows shall strike down the young men, And on the fruit of the womb they shall have no compassion; Their eye shall not pity the children.
१८त्यांचे बाण तरूणांना भेदून जातील. ते बालकांवर दया करणार नाहीत आणि मुलांना सोडणार नाहीत.
19 So shall Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, The proud ornament of the Chaldeans, Be like Sodom and Gomorrah, which God overthrew,
१९आणि राज्याचे अधिक कौतुक, खास्द्यांच्या वैभवाचा अभिमान अशी बाबेल, तिला सदोम आणि गमोराप्रमाणे देवाकडून उलथून टाकण्यात येईल.
20 It shall never more be inhabited; Nor shall it be dwelt in through all generations. Nor shall the Arabian pitch his tent there, Nor shall shepherds make their folds there.
२०ती कधी वसविली जाणार नाही आणि पिढ्यानपिढ्यापासून तिच्यामध्ये कोणी राहणार नाहीत. अरब आपले तंबू तेथे ठोकणार नाहीत किंवा मेंढपाळ आपले कळप तेथे विसाव्यास नेणार नाहीत.
21 But there shall the wild beasts of the desert lodge, And owls shall fill their houses; And ostriches shall dwell there, And satyrs shall dance there.
२१परंतु रानातील जंगली पशू तेथे पडतील. त्यांची घरे घुबडांनी भरतील; आणि शहामृग व रानबोकड तेथे उड्या मारतील.
22 Wolves shall howl in their palaces, And jackals in their pleasant edifices. Her time is near, And her days shall not be prolonged.
२२तरस त्यांच्या किल्ल्यात आणि कोल्हे त्याच्या सुंदर महालात ओरडतील. तिची वेळ जवळ आली आहे आणि तिच्या दिवसास विलंब लागणार नाही.
