Isaiah 1
1 The visions of Isaiah, the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
Vizio de Jesaja, filo de Amoc, kiun li vidis pri Judujo kaj Jerusalem, en la tempo de Uzija, Jotam, Aĥaz, kaj Ĥizkija, reĝoj de Judujo.
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For Jehovah speaketh: “I have nourished and brought up children, And they have rebelled against me.
Aŭskultu, ho ĉielo, kaj atentu, ho tero, ĉar parolas la Eternulo: Filojn Mi edukis kaj altigis, kaj ili perfidis Min.
3 The ox knoweth his owner, And the ass his master's crib; But Israel doth not know; My people do not consider.”
Bovo konas sian aĉetinton, kaj azeno la manĝujon de sia mastro; sed Izrael ne konas, Mia popolo ne komprenas.
4 Ah, sinful nation! a people laden with iniquity! A race of evil-doers! degenerate children! They have forsaken Jehovah; they have despised the Holy One of Israel; They have gone backward.
Ve al la popolo peka, al la gento ŝarĝita de malbonagoj, al la idaro krima, al la filoj pereuloj! ili forlasis la Eternulon, ili malŝatis la Sanktulon de Izrael, ili forturniĝis malantaŭen.
5 Where can ye be smitten again, Since ye renew your rebellion? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint;
Kion oni ankoraŭ batu en vi, kiuj daŭrigas sian defaladon? la tuta kapo estas malsana, kaj la tuta koro estas senforta.
6 From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it; It is all bruises, and stripes, and flesh wounds, Neither pressed, nor bound up, nor softened with ointment.
De la plando de la piedo ĝis la kapo estas en ĝi nenio sendifekta, nur vundoj kaj tuberoj kaj ulceroj pusaj, kiuj ne estas purigitaj, nek ĉirkaŭligitaj, nek moligitaj per oleo.
7 Your country is desolate; Your cities are burnt with fire; Your ground, strangers devour it before your eyes; It is become desolate, destroyed by an enemy.
Via lando estas dezerta, viaj urboj estas forbruligitaj per fajro, vian kampon antaŭ vi formanĝas fremduloj, kaj dezerta ĝi estas, kiel ruinigita de fremduloj.
8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a shed in a vineyard, As a hut in a garden of cucumbers, As a besieged city.
Kaj restis la filino de Cion kiel tendo en vinberĝardeno, kiel budo sur kukumkampo, kiel urbo sieĝata.
9 Had not Jehovah of hosts left us a small remnant, We had soon become as Sodom; We had been like to Gomorrah.
Se la Eternulo Cebaot ne lasus al ni restaĵon, ni fariĝus preskaŭ kiel Sodom, ni similiĝus al Gomora.
10 Hear ye the word of Jehovah, ye princes of Sodom! Give ear to the instruction of our God, ye people of Gomorrah!
Aŭskultu la vortojn de la Eternulo, estroj de Sodom; atentu la instruon de nia Dio, popolo de Gomora!
11 What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? saith Jehovah; I am satiated with burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; In the blood of bullocks and of lambs and of goats I have no delight.
Por kio Mi bezonas vian multegon da buĉoferoj? diras la Eternulo; Mi trosatiĝis de la bruloferoj de ŝafoj kaj de la sebo de grasigitaj brutoj, kaj la sangon de bovoj kaj ŝafidoj kaj kaproj Mi ne deziras.
12 When ye come to appear before me, Who hath required this of you, to tread my courts?
Kiam vi venas, por aperi antaŭ Mia vizaĝo, kiu postulas tion de viaj manoj, ke vi paŝu sur Mian korton?
13 Bring no more false oblations! Incense is an abomination to me, The new moon also, and the sabbath, and the calling of the assembly; Iniquity and festivals I cannot endure.
Ne plu alportu hipokritajn donacojn; la incensado estas abomenindaĵo por Mi; monatkomencon, sabaton, kaj kunvokon de kunvenoj Mi ne toleras — krimo kaj sankta kunveno!
14 Your new moons and your feasts my soul hateth; They are a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them.
Viajn monatkomencojn kaj festojn Mia animo malamas; ili fariĝis por Mi ŝarĝo, tedis al Mi porti ilin.
15 When ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; Yea, when ye multiply prayers, I will not hear: Your hands are full of blood!
Kiam vi etendas viajn manojn, Mi kaŝas antaŭ vi Miajn okulojn; eĉ kiam vi multe preĝas, Mi ne aŭskultas; viaj manoj estas plenaj de sango.
16 Wash you; make you clean; Put away your evil doings from before mine eyes;
Lavu vin, purigu vin; forigu la malbonon de viaj faroj antaŭ Miaj okuloj, ĉesu malbonagi.
17 Cease to do evil; Learn to do well; Seek justice; relieve the oppressed; Defend the fatherless; plead for the widow!
Lernu agi bone, celu justecon, helpu prematon, havigu juston al orfo, defendu aferon de vidvino.
18 Come, now, and let us argue together, saith Jehovah. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they be red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
Venu, kaj ni faru inter ni juĝan disputon, diras la Eternulo: se viaj pekoj estas sangoruĝaj, ili fariĝos blankaj kiel neĝo; kaj se ili estas kiel skarlato, ili fariĝos kiel lano.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, Ye shall consume the good of the land.
Se vi estos humilaj kaj obeemaj, vi manĝos la bonaĵon de la tero;
20 But if ye refuse, and be rebellious, The sword shall consume you; For the mouth of Jehovah hath said it.
sed se vi rifuzos kaj ribelos, glavo vin ekstermos; ĉar tiel diris la buŝo de la Eternulo.
21 How is the faithful city become a harlot, She that was full of equity! Once justice dwelt in her, but now murderers!
Kiamaniere la fidela urbo fariĝis malĉastulino! ĝi estis plena de justeco, virto en ĝi loĝis, sed nun mortigistoj.
22 Thy silver is become dross; Thy wine is adulterated with water.
Via arĝento fariĝis skorio, via vino miksiĝis kun akvo.
23 Thy princes are faithless, companions of thieves; Every one of them loveth gifts, and seeketh rewards; They render not justice to the fatherless, And the cause of the widow cometh not before them.
Viaj estroj estas perfiduloj, kaj kolegoj de ŝtelistoj; ili ĉiuj amas donacojn kaj ĉasas profiton; al orfo ili ne donas juston, kaj la juĝa plendo de vidvino ne atingas ilin.
24 Wherefore, thus saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel: Ha! I will ease me of mine adversaries, And avenge me of mine enemies.
Pro tio diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo Cebaot, la Potenculo de Izrael: Ho ve, Mi konsolos Min sur Miaj kontraŭuloj, kaj Mi venĝos al Miaj malamikoj.
25 And I will again turn my hand toward thee, And wholly purge away thy dross, And take away all thy alloy.
Kaj Mi remetos Mian manon sur vin, kaj Mi forte purigos vian skorion, kaj Mi eligos vian tutan stanon.
26 And I will restore thee judges, as at the first, And counsellors, as at the beginning. Then shalt thou be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.
Kaj Mi restarigos viajn juĝistojn, kiel antaŭe, kaj viajn konsilistojn, kiel en la komenco; post tio oni nomos vin urbo de virto, civito fidela.
27 Through justice shall Zion be delivered, And her reformed sons through righteousness.
Cion elaĉetiĝos per justeco, kaj ĝiaj revenintoj per virto.
28 But destruction shall fall at once on the rebels and sinners; Yea, they that forsake Jehovah shall be consumed.
La krimuloj kaj pekuloj pereos kune, kaj la forlasintoj de la Eternulo ekstermiĝos.
29 For ye shall be ashamed of the terebinths in which ye delighted; Ye shall blush for the gardens which ye loved;
Ĉar ili estos malhonoritaj pro la terebintarboj, kiujn vi amis, kaj vi estos hontigitaj pro la ĝardenoj, kiujn vi elektis.
30 And ye shall be as a terebinth-tree whose leaves are withered, And as a garden in which is no water.
Ĉar vi estos kiel terebintarbo, kies folioj velkis, kaj kiel ĝardeno, kiu ne havas akvon.
31 The strong shall become tow, And his work a spark of fire; Both shall burn together, And none shall quench them.
Kaj la fortulo fariĝos kiel stupo, kaj lia laboro kiel fajrero; kaj ambaŭ brulos, kaj neniu estingos.
