Hosea 1
1 The word of Jehovah, which came to Hoses, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, the son of Joash, king of Israel.
Cuvântul DOMNULUI care a venit la Osea, fiul lui Beeri, în zilele lui Ozia, Iotam, Ahaz şi Ezechia, împăraţi ai lui Iuda, şi în zilele lui Ieroboam, fiul lui Ioas, împărat al lui Israel.
2 The beginning of the word of Jehovah by Hosea. Jehovah said to Hosea: Go, and take thee a wife of lewdness, and children of lewdness; for the land hath committed great lewdness; it is false to Jehovah.
Începutul cuvântului DOMNULUI prin Osea. Şi DOMNUL i‑a spus lui Osea: Du-te, ia-ţi o soţie a curviilor şi copii ai curviilor; fiindcă ţara a curvit mult, depărtându-se de DOMNUL.
3 So he went, and took Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived and bore him a son.
Astfel el a mers şi a luat pe Gomer, fiica lui Diblaim, care a rămas însărcinată şi i-a născut un fiu.
4 And Jehovah said to him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will bring the kingdom of the house of Israel to an end.
Şi DOMNUL i-a spus: Pune-i numele Izreel; căci încă puţin timp şi voi răzbuna sângele lui Izreel peste casa lui Iehu şi voi face să înceteze împărăţia casei lui Israel.
5 Yea, in that day will I break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.
Şi se va întâmpla în acea zi, că voi frânge arcul lui Israel în valea lui Izreel.
6 And she conceived again, and bore a daughter. And God said to him, Call her name Unpitied; for I will no more have pity upon the house of Israel, but will surely take them away.
Şi ea a rămas din nou însărcinată şi a născut o fiică. Şi Dumnezeu i-a spus: Pune-i numele Lo-Ruhama; fiindcă nu voi mai avea milă de casa lui Israel; ci îi voi lua cu desăvârşire.
7 But upon the house of Judah will I have pity, and will save them by Jehovah their God; I will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.
Dar voi avea milă de casa lui Iuda, şi îi voi salva prin DOMNUL Dumnezeul lor, şi nu îi voi salva prin arc, nici prin sabie, nici prin bătălie, nici prin cai şi nici prin călăreţi.
8 Then she weaned her daughter Unpitied, and conceived, and bore a son.
Şi după ce a înţărcat-o pe Lo-Ruhama, a rămas însărcinată şi a născut un fiu.
9 And God said, Call his name Not-my-people. For ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.
Atunci Dumnezeu a spus: Pune-i numele Lo-Ami, fiindcă voi nu sunteţi poporul meu şi eu nu voi fi Dumnezeul vostru.
10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured, or numbered; and in the place where it was said to them, Ye are not my people, there shall it be said to them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
Totuşi numărul copiilor lui Israel va fi ca nisipul mării, care nu se poate măsura nici număra; şi se va întâmpla că, în locul unde li s-a spus: Voi nu sunteţi poporul meu, acolo li se va spune: Sunteţi fiii Dumnezeului cel viu.
11 Then shall the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel be gathered together, and shall appoint to themselves one head, and shall come up out of the land. For great shall be the day of Jezreel.
Atunci copiii lui Iuda şi copiii lui Israel se vor aduna şi îşi vor rândui o singură căpetenie şi se vor urca din ţară; fiindcă mare va fi ziua lui Izreel.
