Hosea 14

1 Return, O Israel, to Jehovah thy God; For thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.

௧இஸ்ரவேலே, உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவிடத்தில் திரும்பு; நீ உன் அக்கிரமத்தினால் விழுந்தாய்.

2 Take with you words, And return to Jehovah, saying, “Forgive all our iniquity, and receive us graciously, And we will render to thee the sacrifices of our lips!

௨வார்த்தைகளைக்கொண்டு யெகோவாவிடத்தில் திரும்புங்கள்; அவரை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் எல்லா அக்கிரமத்தையும் நீக்கி, எங்களைத் தயவாக அங்கீகரித்தருளும்; அப்பொழுது நாங்கள் எங்கள் உதடுகளின் பலிகளைச் செலுத்துவோம்.

3 Assyria shall not help us; We will not ride on horses; And no more will we say to the work of our hands, Ye are our Gods! For from thee the fatherless obtaineth mercy.”

௩அசீரியா எங்களைக் காப்பாற்றுவதில்லை; நாங்கள் குதிரைகளின்மேல் ஏறமாட்டோம்; எங்கள் கைகளின் செயலைப்பார்த்து: நீங்கள் எங்களுடைய தேவர்கள் என்று இனிச் சொல்லமாட்டோம்; திக்கற்றவன் உம்மிடத்தில் இரக்கம்பெறுகிறான் என்று சொல்லுங்கள்.

4 “I will heal their rebellion; I will love them freely; For my anger is turned away from them.

௪நான் அவர்கள் சீர்கேட்டைக் குணமாக்குவேன்; அவர்களை மனப்பூர்வமாகச் சிநேகிப்பேன்; என் கோபம் அவர்களை விட்டு நீங்கினது.

5 I will be as the dew to Israel; He shall blossom as the lily, And strike his roots like Lebanon.

௫நான் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குப் பனியைப்போல் இருப்பேன்; அவன் லீலி மலரைப்போல் மலருவான்; லீபனோனைப்போல் வேரூன்றி நிற்பான்.

6 His sprouts shall spread forth, And his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, And his fragrance as Lebanon.

௬அவனுடைய கிளைகள் ஓங்கிப் படரும், அவனுடைய அலங்காரம் ஒலிவமரத்தினுடைய அலங்காரத்தைப்போலவும், அவனுடைய வாசனை லீபனோனுடைய வாசனையைப்போலவும் இருக்கும்.

7 They that dwell under his shadow Shall revive as the corn; They shall shoot forth as the vine; Their name shall be like the wine of Lebanon.

௭அவனுடைய நிழலில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்கள் திரும்புவார்கள்; தானிய விளைச்சலைப்போலச் செழித்து, திராட்சைச்செடிகளைப்போலப் படருவார்கள்; அவனுடைய வாசனை லீபனோனுடைய திராட்சைரசத்தின் வாசனையைப்போல இருக்கும்.

8 Ephraim shall say, What have I more to do with idols? I will hear him; I will care for him; I will be like a green cypress-tree; From me shall thy fruit be found.”

௮இனி எனக்கும் சிலைகளுக்கும் என்ன என்று எப்பிராயீம் சொல்வான்; நான் அவனுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, அவன்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருந்தேன்; நான் பச்சையான தேவதாரு மரத்தைப்போல் இருக்கிறேன்; என்னாலே உன்னுடைய கனி உண்டானது என்று எப்பிராயீம் சொல்வான்.

9 Who is wise, that he may understand these things, Prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, And the righteous walk in them; But in them transgressors stumble.

௯இவைகளை உணரத்தக்க ஞானமுள்ளவன் யார்? இவைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளத்தக்க புத்தியுள்ளவன் யார்? யெகோவாவுடைய வழிகள் செம்மையானவைகள், நீதிமான்கள் அவைகளில் நடப்பார்கள்; கலகக்காரர்களோவென்றால் அவைகளில் இடறிவிழுவார்கள்.
