Hosea 13
1 Once when Ephraim spake, there was trembling; he was exalted in Israel; But he offended through Baal, and died.
“ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾಗ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಆದರೆ ಬಾಳನ ಆರಾಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಸತ್ತನು.
2 And now they sin more and more, And have made to themselves molten images; Of their silver by their skill have they made idols; All of it is the work of artificers. They say concerning them, Whoever will sacrifice, let him kiss the calves!
ಈಗ ಅವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸ್ವಂತ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ಎರಕದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಕಮ್ಮಾರರ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವೇ. ಅವರು ನರಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಬಸವನ ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಜನರು ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
3 Therefore shall they be as the morning cloud, And as the early dew, which passeth away; As chaff driven with a whirlwind from the thrashing-floor, And as smoke from the chimney.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾತಃಕಾಲದ ಮಂಜಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ಬೇಗನೆ ಮಾಯವಾಗುವ ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ಸುಳಿಗಾಳಿಯು ಕಣದಿಂದ ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ಚಿಮಿಣಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವ ಹೊಗೆಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇರುವರು.
4 Yet I, Jehovah, have been thy God from the land of Egypt, And thou hast known no God but me; Yea, there was no saviour besides me.
ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಾಗಿನಿಂದ, ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ಯಾವ ದೇವರನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ನಿನಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ರಕ್ಷಕನು ಇಲ್ಲ.
5 I cared for thee in the desert, In the land of great drought.
ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಬಹು ಬಾಯಾರಿಕೆಯ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
6 As they were fed, so they were filled; They were filled, and their heart was lifted up; Therefore they forgot me.
ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು, ಅವರು ತೃಪ್ತರಾದರು. ಅವರು ತೃಪ್ತರಾದಾಗ, ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಗಳಾದರು, ಅನಂತರ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
7 Therefore have I become to them as a lion; As a leopard I watch for them in the way;
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಂಹದ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗುವೆನು. ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿರತೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುವೆನು.
8 I will meet them as a bear bereaved of her whelps, And I will rend the caul of their heart, And there will I devour them as a lioness; The wild beast shall tear them.
ನಾನು ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಕರಡಿಯಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು. ಅವರ ಹೃದಯದ ಪೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಬಿಡುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಸಿಂಹದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನುಂಗುವೆನು. ಕಾಡುಮೃಗವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿ ಹಾಕುವುದು.
9 It hath been thy destruction, O Israel, That against me, against thy help, thou hast rebelled!
“ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆಂಬಲವಾದ ನನಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾಗಿದ್ದೀ.
10 Where is now thy king? Let him save thee in all thy cities! And where thy judges, In regard to whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes!
ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಅರಸನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ನಿನ್ನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನವರನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧರಿಸುವನೋ? ನನಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸು ಎಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಿಯಷ್ಟೆ. ಆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?
11 I gave thee a king in mine anger, And I have taken him away in my wrath;
ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ರೌದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದೆನು.
12 the iniquity of Ephraim is treasured up; His guilt is laid up in store.
ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮಿನ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯವು ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವನ ಪಾಪವು ದಾಖಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
13 The pangs of a travailing woman shall come upon him; He is an unwise son, For else would he not tarry long in the place of the breaking forth of children.
ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸವವೇದನೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಅದೊಂದು ಮಂಕು ಮಗುವಿನಂತಿದೆ. ಹುಟ್ಟಿ, ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಬಹುದಾದರೂ, ಅವನು ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.
14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death; O death, where is thy plague? O grave, where is thy destruction? Repentance is hidden from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)
“ಸಮಾಧಿಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕ್ರಯಕೊಟ್ಟು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸುವೆನು. ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಮರಣವೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಉಪದ್ರವ ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಪಾತಾಳವೇ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿನಾಶವೆಲ್ಲಿ? “ಅನುಕಂಪವು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿದೆ. (Sheol h7585)
15 Though he be fruitful among his brethren, An east wind shall come, A wind of Jehovah shall come up from the desert, And his spring shall become dry, And his fountain shall be dried up, And the treasure of all his pleasant vessels shall be spoiled.
ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಕಾಡಿನಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಬೀಸಮಾಡುವ ಪೂರ್ವ ಗಾಳಿಯು ಬರಲು, ಅವನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯು ಬತ್ತುವುದು. ಅವನ ಒರತೆಯು ಒಣಗುವುದು. ಅವನ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳ ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡುವರು.
16 Samaria shall suffer for her guilt, For she hath rebelled against her God. They shall fall by the sword; Their infants shall be dashed in pieces, And their women with child shall be ripped up.
ಸಮಾರ್ಯವು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ, ತನ್ನ ದೋಷಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಲೇಬೇಕು. ಅದರ ಜನರು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹತರಾಗುವರು, ವೈರಿಗಳು ಅವಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಬಂಡೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸುವರು. ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯರ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಸೀಳುವರು.”
