< Hebrews 11 >
1 Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen.
Lushomo ni lushinisho lwa bintu bilapembelwanga mwakubula kutonshanya nambi nkatula bibononga.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Cebo ca lushomo lwabo bantu bakaindi Lesa walikukondwa nabo.
3 Through faith we perceive that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that that which is seen hath not been made out of things which appear. (aiōn )
Pakuba ne lushomo tukute kwinshibeti Lesa walasebenseshowa maswi pa kulenga kwilu ne cishi capanshi. Kayi tucinsheti bintu bilabonekenga byalabapo kufuma ku bintu bitaboneke. (aiōn )
4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he received testimony that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and by it though dead he yet speaketh.

5 By faith Enoch was translated, that he should not see death; and he was not found, because God translated him; for before his translation he had the testimony that he pleased God.
Pakwinga Enoki walashoma Lesa ecebo cakendi uliya kufwa. Paliya walamucanapo, pakwinga Lesa walamumanta Kwilu. Mabala alambangeti, Lesa walakondwa ne mbyalikwinsa Enoki katana mantwa Kwilu.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
Paliya wela kumukondwelesha Lesa kwabula lushomo, neco uyo lesanga kuli Lesa ashometi Lesa nkwali, kayi ukute kupa cilambo balamulangaulunga.
7 By faith Noah, being warned by God of things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
Lushomo elwalapesheti Nowa anyumfwe kucenjesha kwa Lesa pa bintu byali kwisa kuntangu mbyali kubula kubona. Walanyumfwila Lesa pa kwibaka bwato bunene mwalapulukila ne mukowa wakendi. Ici calalesheti bantu balikuba baipa, pakwinga Nowa walatambula bululami kuli Lesa cebo ca lushomo.
8 By faith Abraham, when called, obeyed to go forth to a place which he was afterward to receive for an inheritance, and went forth, not knowing whither he was going.
Mu lushomo Abulahamu walanyumfwila Lesa pa cindi ncalamukuwa kushiya cishi ca comwabo kuya kucishi ncalamulaya kumupa. Walashiya cishi cakendi katakwinshi nkwalikuya.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of the promise, as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;
Mu lushomo lwakendi walikwikaleti mwensu mu cishi ico Lesa ncalamulaya kumupa. Walikwikalowa mu matente, mbuli Isaki, kayi ne Yakobo ncebalikwikala abo balatambulako cipangano ca Lesa ca mushoboyo.
10 for he was looking for the city which hath foundations, whose maker and builder is God.
Abulahamu walikupembelela, munshi webakwa mu lulindi lwekalikana, munshi webakwa mwabuya, webakwa ne Lesa.
11 Through faith Sarah herself also received power to conceive, even when she was past age, because she accounted him faithful who had promised.
Mu lushomo, Abulahamu walapewa ngofu shakusema bana mubucekulu nambi Sala walikuba ng'umba. Walaba ne mwana cebo ca lushomo. Walikuba washoma Lesa kwambeti nakakwanilishe ncalamulaya.
12 Wherefore there sprang even from one, and him become as dead, a race like the stars of heaven in multitude, and like the sand by the seashore which cannot be numbered.
Nambi Abulahamu walikubeti wafwa, nsombi mu muntuyu mwalafuma bana bangi batabelengeketi nyenyenshi sha kwilu nambi museya wa mu mulonga.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promised blessings, but having seen them from afar, and greeted them, and having professed that they were strangers and sojourners on the earth.
Aba bonse balafwa kabali bashoma, baliya kutambula bintu mbyalabalaya Lesa, nikukabeco balikubibona ne kubitambula kabicili patali. Kayi balasumina pantangalala kwambeti ni bensu beshikwikala kwa kulonga longa.
14 For they who say such things show plainly that they are seeking a country.
Bantu bakute kwambeco pantangalala bakute kupembelela kupewa cishi cabo.
15 And if indeed they had been mindful of that from which they came out, they would have had opportunity to return;
Pakwinga nkabali kuyeya kubwelela kucishi nkobalafuma, nibalikuyeyeco nshinga nibalabwelela kucishi nkobalafuma.
16 but now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly. Wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for he prepared for them a city.
Balo balalangaula cishi caina, cishi ca kwilu. Neco Lesa nkela kunyumfwa nsoni bamukuwangeti Lesa wabo, pakwinga walababambila munshi.
17 By faith Abraham, when tried, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was offering up his only-begotten son,
Mu lushomo Abulahamu pa cindi Lesa ncalamusunka walabenga Isaki mwanendi kuba mulumbo kuli Lesa. Abulahamu ewalalaiwa ne Lesa, nomba kayi walikuba walibambila kutwala mwanendi enka ngwali kukute kwambeti abe mulumbo.
18 he to whom it was said, “From Isaac shall thine offspring be reckoned;”
Lesa walamwambileti, “Kufumina muli Isaki nukabe ne bashikulu mbondakulaya.”
19 accounting that God is able even to raise from the dead; whence also he did figuratively receive him back.
Abulahamu walikuba washoma mwakutatonshanya kwambeti Lesa wela kumupundusha Isaki nambi lafu, neco mukwelanika ngatwambeti Abulahamu walamutambula Isaki kufuma ku bafu.
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau even concerning things to come.
Mu lushomo, Isaki walalaila limo banabendi, Yakobo ne Esau sha colwe nceshi bakabe naco ku masuba akuntangu.
21 By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
Mu lushomo Yakobo katana afwa walapa colwe bana ba Yosefe, kali washintilila pa nkoli kakambilila Lesa.
22 By faith Joseph, when dying, made mention of the departure of the sons of Israel, and gave directions concerning his bones.
Mu lushomo Yosefe katana afwa walambeti bana Baislayeli nibakafume mu Injipito, kayi walashiya malailile a nceti bakense pa mafupa akendi akafwa.
23 By faith Moses, when born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw that the child was fair and they feared not the king's commandment.
Mu lushomo bashali ba Mose balamusoleka kwa myenshi itatu mpwalasemwa. Kwapa kwa mwana ekwalapeti bataluke mulawo wa mwami kwa kubula buyowa.
24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called son of Pharaoh's daughter,
Mulushomo Mose mpwalakula, walakana kukwiweti mushukulu wa mwami wa ku Injipito.
25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Walacibona kuba cintu caina kupengela pamo ne bantu ba Lesa kupita kukondwa ne malyalya a bwipishi kwa kacindi kang'ana.
26 esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he looked to the recompense of reward.
Walasalapo kusulwa cebo ca Klistu Mupulushi Wananikwa wa Lesa kuba cintu caina kupita buboni bonse bwa mu Injipito, pakwinga walasha menso akendi pa cilambo ca kuntangu.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing him who is invisible.
Mu lushomo Mose walafuma mu Injipito kwakubula kutina bukalu bwa mwami. Walakana kubwela pakwinga walikubeti labononga Lesa utaboneke.
28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of the blood, that he who destroyed the first-born might not touch them.
Mu lushomo Mose walabamba kusekelela kwa Pasika kayi ne kupa mulawo wa kusansaila milopa pa bisasa kwambeti mungelo katesa ashine bana bakutanguna kusema ba bana Baislayeli.
29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as through dry land; which the Egyptians attempted and were swallowed up.
Mu lushomo Baislayeli balatampuka lwenje lwafubela, Nomba bashilikali ba ku Injipito nabo mpobalelekesha kubatampukila, balaya nkwela ne menshi.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they had been encompassed for seven days.
Mu lushomo malinga a munshi wa Yeliko alalokolomoka kuwa panshi nti! Pa cindi Baislayeli mpobalaushinguluka pelete munshi wa Yeliko masuba asanu ne abili.
31 By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish with those who disobeyed, after having received the spies with peace.
Pakwinga Lahabi mufule walashoma muli Lesa, ecebo cakendi neye ne bansebendi baliya kufwila pamo ne bantu balikubula kunyumfwila Lesa, pakwinga walabatambula Baislayeli balatumwa kuya kutapa cishi.
32 And what shall I say more? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, of Barak, and Samson, and Jephthah, of David and Samuel, and the prophets;
Sena mpitilishe kwamba? Ndiya cindi citali ca kwamba sha lushomo lwa Gidiyoni ne Balaki ne Samisoni ne Yefita ne Dafeti ne Samiyele kayi ne bashinshimi.
33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promised blessings, stopped the mouths of lions,
Mu lushomo aba bantu balalwana nkondo ne kukoma bishi bingi. Balensa ncalikuyanda Lesa, balatambula ncalabalaya Lesa. Balacala milomo ya nkalamo,
34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put to flight the armies of the aliens.
balashima mulilo walikubangila, kayi baliya kufwapo ku censho. Nambi balikuba balefuka, nsombi balapewa ngofu. Balikwinshi mwakulwanina nkondo, kayi balakoma makoto ankondo abalwani.
35 Women received back their dead by a resurrection; but others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection;
Mu lushomo batukashi balatambula banse babo balikuba bafwa, nsombi balapunduka ku bafu. Nabambi pakukana kusungululwa balapenshekwa kwine mpaka balafwa kwambeti bakapundukile kubuyumi bwaina.
36 and others had trial of mockings and scourgings, and also of bonds and imprisonment;
Bambi balawelwa, bambi balaumwa bikoti, kayi nabambi balasungwa ncetani ne kuwalwa mu jele.
37 they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword; they went about in sheep-skins and goat-skins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented,
Nabambi balapwaiwa mabwe, bambi mibili yabo yalatimbulwa pakati, nabambi balashinwa ne byensho. Nabambi balabapitanya kabali babafwalika mpaya sha mbelele nambi sha mpongo. Balikuba bapenshi, balapenshewa kayi balalingwa.
38 of whom the world was not worthy; they wandered in deserts and mountains, and caves and the clefts of the earth.
Cishi capanshi nkacalabelela sobwe, balaba beshi kufwambila mu binyika ne mumilundu, kona mu maceni ne mubilindi eti bantu babula cishi cabo.
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promised blessing,
Ha! Bantu aba bonse nambi Lesa balabalumbaisha cebo lushomo lwabo, nikukabeti baliya kutambula bintu mbyalabalaya Lesa!
40 God having provided for us some better thing, that they might not be made perfect without us.
Pakwinga Lesa mububambo bwakendi utukutile bintu byaina kwine. Kuyanda kwakendi ni kwa kwambeti afwe pamo nendibo tushike pakuba belela cakupwililila.
