Galatians 5
1 Stand firm in the liberty with which Christ made us free, and be not again bound fast to the yoke of bondage.
स्वतन्त्रताको निम्ति ख्रीष्टले हामीलाई मुक्त गराउनुभएको हो । यसैकारण, स्थिर होओ र फेरि बन्धनको जुवामुनि नपर ।
2 Behold, I Paul say to you, that if ye are circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing;
हेर! म पावल तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, कि तिमीहरूको खतना भए तापनि ख्रीष्टमा तिमीहरूलाई केही फाइदा हुनेछैन ।
3 yea, I testify again to every one who becometh circumcised, that he is bound to keep the whole Law.
फेरि, खतना गरिएका सबै मानिसलाई म यो गवाही दिन्छु, कि सबै व्यवस्था पालन गर्न त्यो बाध्य हुन्छ ।
4 Ye are entirely separated from Christ, who seek to obtain righteousness through the Law; ye have fallen away from grace.
जो व्यवस्थाबाट धर्मी ठहराइएका छौ, तिमीहरू ख्रीष्टबाट अलग गरिएका छौ । तिमीहरू अनुग्रहबाट टाढा गएका छौ ।
5 For we through the Spirit by faith steadfastly wait for the hope of righteousness.
किनकि आत्माद्वारा विश्वासबाट हामीले धार्मिकताको आशाको प्रतीक्षा गरिरहेका छौँ ।
6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith working by love.
ख्रीष्ट येशूमा न खतना न बेखतना कुनै मूल्यको हुन्छ । केवल प्रेमद्वारा काम गर्ने विश्वासको मात्र मूल्य हुन्छ ।
7 Ye were running well; who hindered you, that ye should not obey the truth?
तिमीहरू असल रूपमा दौडिरहेका थियौ । सत्यताको पालन गर्न तिमीहरूलाई कसले रोक्यो?
8 This persuasion came not from him that called you.
यो काम गर्नको निम्ति आएको प्रोत्साहन तिमीहरूलाई बोलाउनुहुने बाटको होइन ।
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
थोरै खमिरले पुरै आटाको डल्लोलाई फुलाउँछ ।
10 I indeed have confidence in regard to you in the Lord, that ye will be no otherwise minded; but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whoever he may be.
प्रभुमा म तिमीहरूमा भरोसा गर्दछु, कि तिमीहरूले अर्को तरिकाले विचार गर्दैनौ । तिमीहरूलाई अलमलमा पार्ने जोसुकै भए तापनि त्यसले आफ्नो दण्ड पाउनेछ ।
11 But as for me, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then hath the cross ceased to be a stumbling-block.
मेरा भाइहरू हो, यदि म अझै पनि खतनाको प्रचार गर्दछु भने, अझै पनि म किन सताइएको छु? त्यसो हो भनेता क्रुसको बाधा नष्ट हुने थियो ।
12 Would that they who unsettle you would quite cut themselves off!
तिमीहरूलाई बहकाउनेहरूले त आफैँलाई नपुङ्सक तुल्याओस् ।
13 For ye, brethren, were called to liberty; only use not your liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by your love serve one another.
किनकि मेरा भाइहरू हो, परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई स्वतन्त्रताको निम्ति बोलाउनुभएको छ । आफ्नो स्वतन्त्रतालाई शरीरको निम्ति अवसरको रूपमा मात्र प्रयोग नगर । बरु, प्रेमद्वारा एक अर्कालाई सेवा पुर्याओ ।
14 For the whole Law is fulfilled in one commandment, even in this “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”
किनकि सारा व्यवस्था एउटै आज्ञामा पुरा हुन्छ, “तिमीहरूले आफ्नो छिमेकीलाई आफैँलाई जस्तै प्रेम गर्नुपर्छ ।”
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, beware lest ye be consumed by one another.
तर यदि तिमीहरूले एक अर्कालाई टोक्ने र निल्ने गर्छौ भने, ध्यान देओ, तिमीहरू आफैँ एक अर्काबाट नष्ट हुन नपरोस् ।
16 But I say, Walk by the Spirit, and ye will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.
म भन्दछु, आत्माद्वारा हिँड, अनि तिमीहरूले शरीरका अभिलाषाहरूलाई पुरा गर्नेछैनौ ।
17 For the flesh hath desires against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these oppose one another, that ye may not do the things that ye would.
किनकि शरीरका अभिलाषाहरू आत्माको विरुद्धमा हुन्छन्, र आत्माको इच्छा शरीरको विरुद्धमा हुन्छ । किनकि यी एक अर्काका विपरीत हुन्छन् । यसको परिणामचाहिँ यही हो, कि तिमीहरूले गर्न चाहेका कुराहरू तिमीहरूले गर्दैनौ ।
18 But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the Law.
तर यदि आत्माले तिमीहरूलाई अगुवाइ गर्नुहुन्छ भने तिमीहरू व्यवस्थाको अधीनमा हुँदैनौ ।
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest; such as fornication, uncleanness, wantonness,
शरीरका कामहरू प्रत्यक्ष देख्न सकिने हुन्छन् । ती कामुक अनैतिकता, अपवित्रता, कामवासना,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, rivalry, outbursts of wrath, cabals, divisions, factions,
मूर्तिपूजा, तन्त्रमन्त्र, दुश्मनी, झैँझगडा, ईर्ष्या, क्रोध, स्वार्थ, फुट, गुटबन्दी,
21 envyings, drunkenness, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you beforehand, as I also told you in time past, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
डाह, पियक्कडपन, मोजमज्जा र अरू यस्तै कुराहरू हुन् । मैले तिमीहरूलाई पहिले पनि चेतावनी दिएझैँ म फेरि चेतावनी दिन्छु, कि जसले यी कुराहरू गर्छन्, तिनीहरू परमेश्वरको राज्यका हकदार हुनेछैनन् ।
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
तर पवित्र आत्माका फलचाहिँ प्रेम, आनन्द, शान्ति, धैर्य, दया, भलाइ, विश्वास,
23 meekness, temperance; against such things as these there is no law.
नम्रता र संयम हुन् । यी कुराहरूका विरुद्धमा कुनै व्यवस्था छैन ।
24 And they who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with the passions and lusts.
तिनीहरू जो ख्रीष्ट येशूका हुन् उनीहरूले आफ्ना शरीरलाई त्यसका लालसा र दुष्ट अभिलाषाहरूसहित क्रुसमा टाँगेका हुन्छन् ।
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
यदि हामी आत्माद्वारा जिउँछौँ भने, हामी आत्माद्वारा नै हिँडौँ ।
26 Let us not become vain-glorious, provoking one another, envying one another.
हामी अहङ्कारी नबनौँ; एक अर्कालाई रिस नउठाऔँ; वा एक अर्काको ईर्ष्या नगरौँ ।
