Ezekiel 1
1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
੧ਤੀਹਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਪੰਜ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਕਬਾਰ ਨਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਦੇਖੇ।
2 On the fifth day of the month, in the fifth year of the captivity of King Jehoiachin,
੨ਉਸ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਪੰਜ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ
3 the word of Jehovah came to Ezekiel, the son of Buzi, the priest, in the land of the Chaldaeans, by the river Chebar; and the hand of Jehovah was there upon him.
੩ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ, ਬੂਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਏਲ ਜਾਜਕ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ, ਜੋ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਬਾਰ ਨਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ।
4 And I looked, and behold, a stormy wind came from the north, a great cloud, and a mass of fire; and a brightness was round about it, and in the midst of it the appearance of bright brass, in the midst of the fire.
੪ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਹਨੇਰੀ ਆਈ, ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਬੱਦਲ ਜੋ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਚਮਕ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਲਿਓਂ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਵਰਗੀ ਕੋਈ ਚਮਕਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
5 And in the midst of it were the forms of four living creatures. And this was their appearance. They had the form of a man.
੫ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰ ਜੀਵ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਇਹ ਸੀ: ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਰਗੇ ਸਨ,
6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
੬ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਮੂੰਹ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਰ ਖੰਭ ਸਨ
7 And their feet were upright; and the sole of their feet was as the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled like polished brass.
੭ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਲੀਆਂ ਵੱਛੇ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਲੀਆਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਾਂਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਚਮਕਦੇ ਸਨ।
8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides, and all four had faces and wings.
੮ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੰਭ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਨ
9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not about when they went; they went every one straight forward.
੯ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੰਭ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੁੜਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਸਨ।
10 As for the form of their faces, all four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right side, and all four had the face of an ox on the left side, and all four had also the face of an eagle.
੧੦ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਚਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਚਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬਲ਼ਦ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਉਕਾਬ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਸਨ।
11 Thus were their faces. And their wings were expanded upward; two wings of every one were joined, and two covered their bodies.
੧੧ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੰਭ ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਅੱਡ ਅੱਡ ਸਨ, ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਖੰਭ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੋ-ਦੋ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਢੱਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
12 And they went every one straight forward; whither the spirit was to go, they went, and they turned not about when they went.
੧੨ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਦੀ ਸੇਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿੱਧਰ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੁੜਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ।
13 And the appearance of the living creatures was as coals of fire, burning like torches; and the fire moved about among the living creatures, and shone forth brightly; and out of the fire came forth lightning.
੧੩ਉਹਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਭੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕੋਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ, ਇੱਕ ਚਮਕਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਅੱਗ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਇੱਧਰ-ਉੱਧਰ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਨਿੱਕਲਦੀ ਸੀ।
14 And the living creatures ran backward and forward like a flash of lightning.
੧੪ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੌੜਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜਨਾ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
15 Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold, there stood a wheel upon the earth by each of the living creatures, with its four sides.
੧੫ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਚਾਰਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਪਹੀਆ ਸੀ।
16 The appearance of the wheels, and their work, was like that of a chrysolite, and all four had one form, and their appearance and their work was as if a wheel had been within a wheel.
੧੬ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਹੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਅਤੇ ਬਣਾਵਟ ਇਹ ਸੀ: ਹਰੇਕ ਪਹੀਆ ਪੁਖਰਾਜ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚਾਰੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸਨ; ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਪਹੀਆ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਪਹੀਏ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇ।
17 When they went, they went upon their four sides, and they turned not about when they went.
੧੭ਜਦੋਂ ਪਹੀਏ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੜਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ।
18 As for their felloes, they were high and terrible; and their felloes were full of eyes round about upon all four of them.
੧੮ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੱਕੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਤੇ ਡਰਾਉਣੇ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਚਾਰਾਂ ਚੱਕਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਹੀ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸਨ।
19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
੧੯ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹੀਏ ਵੀ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਪਹੀਏ ਵੀ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
20 Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, whithersoever the spirit was to go; and the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
੨੦ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਪਹੀਏ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਪਹੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ।
21 When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
੨੧ਜਦੋਂ ਜੀਵ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਪਹੀਏ ਵੀ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਜੀਵ ਰੁੱਕਦੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਪਹੀਏ ਵੀ ਰੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਪਹੀਏ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਪਹੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ।
22 And over the heads of the living creatures was the appearance of a firmament, like crystal, terrible, spread out over their heads above.
੨੨ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਅੰਬਰ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਬਲੌਰ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਤਾਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
23 And under the firmament were their wings upright, the one toward the other; and every one had two, which covered his body.
੨੩ਉਸ ਅੰਬਰ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੰਭ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੀ ਸੇਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ, ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਖੰਭਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸਾ ਢੱਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਪਾਸਾ ਢੱਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
24 And I heard the sound of their wings, as the sound of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, when they went, —a sound like the noise of a host. And when they stood still, they let down their wings.
੨੪ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਰਗੀ, ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਰਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਰੁੱਕਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਮਕਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
25 And there was a voice from the firmament, that was over their heads; and they stood still, and let down their wings.
੨੫ਉਸ ਅੰਬਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ, ਇੱਕ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਮਕਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
26 And above the firmament over their heads was an appearance like a sapphire-stone, the form of a throne; and upon the form of the throne there was a form like that of a man above.
੨੬ਜੋ ਅੰਬਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਨੀਲਮ ਪੱਥਰ ਦਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ, ਕੁਝ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਜਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਰੂਪ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
27 And I saw what had the appearance of bright brass, what had the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins and upward. And from the appearance of his loins downward I saw what had the appearance of fire, and its brightness was round about him.
੨੭ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੱਕ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੱਕ ਚਮਕਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਜਿਹਾ ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਰਗਾ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲੱਕ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਥੱਲੇ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਗ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਚਾਰੋਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਚਮਕ ਸੀ।
28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the glory of Jehovah. And when I saw it I fell upon my face, and I heard the voice of one who spoke.
੨੮ਜਿਵੇਂ ਵਰਖਾ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਬੱਦਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਣੁੱਖ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਦਾ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਦਾ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਜਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਮੂਧੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਡਿੱਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
