Ezekiel 23
1 The word of Jehovah came to me again, saying:
Neno la Yahwe likanijia, kusema,
2 Son of man, there were two women, daughters of one mother;
“Mwanadamu, Kulikuwa na wanawake wawili, binti za mama mmoja.
3 and they committed fornication in Egypt; in their youth they committed fornication. There they allowed their breasts to be pressed, and their virgin teats to be handled.
Walifanya ukahaba katika Misri katika kipindi cha ujana wao. Walitenda kama makahaba huko. Maziwa yao yalikuwa yamebana na ubikira wa chuchu zao zilipapaswa huko.
4 Their names were Aholah, the elder, and Aholibah, her sister; and they became mine, and bore sons and daughters; as to their names, moreover, Aholah is Samaria, and Aholibah, Jerusalem.
Majina yao yalikuwa Ohola-dada mkubwa-na Oholiba-dada yake mdogo. Kisha wakawa wangu na kuzaa wana na binti. Majina yao yalikuwa yakimaanasha hivi: Ohola maana yake Samaria, na Oholiba maana yake Yerusalemu.
5 And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians, her neighbors
Lakini Ohola alifanya kama kahaba hata alipokuwa wangu; aliwatamani wapenzi wake, kwa kuwa Waashuri na nguvu,
6 who were clothed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen, riding on horses.
liwali aliyekuwa amevaa urijuana, na kwa ajili ya maafisa wake, waliokuwa hodari na wanaume wa kuvutia, wote walikuwa waendesha farasi.
7 Thus she committed fornication with them, with all the choice young men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted; with all their idols she defiled herself.
Hivyo akajitoa yeye mwenyewe kama kahaba kwao, kwa watu bora wa Ashuru, na alijitia mwenyewe uchafu pamoja na kila mmoja aliyekuwa amemtamani-pamoja na sanamu zake zote.
8 Neither forsook she her whoredoms brought from Egypt; for they lay with her in her youth, and handled the breasts of her virginity, and poured their fornication upon her.
Kwa kuwa hakuacha tabia zake za kihaba nyuma katika Misri, wakati walipolala naye wakati alipokuwa msichana mdogo, wakati walipoanza kwanza kupapasa ubikira wa maziwa yake, wakati walipoanza kummwagia tabia ya uzinzi wao juu yake.
9 Wherefore I delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.
Kwa hiyo nilimtia kwenye mkono wa wapenzi wake, kwenye mkono wa Waashuru kwa kuwa aliwatamani.
10 These uncovered her nakedness; they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword; and she became famous among women, when they had executed judgment upon her.
Wakamfunua uchi wake. Wakawachukua wana wake na binti, na wakamuua kwa upanga, na akawa aibu kwa wanawake wengine, hivyo wakapitisha hukumu juu yake.
11 And her sister, Aholibah, saw this, but she was more corrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms.
Dada yake Oholiba akaliona hili, lakini aliyatamani zaidi na kufanya kama kahaba hata zaidi kuliko dada yake.
12 She doted upon the Assyrians, her neighbors, prefects and rulers clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them desirable young men.
Aliwatamanai Waashuru, mabosi na watawala waliokuwa wamevaa ngua za ushawishi, walikuwa watu waendesha farasi. Wote walikuwa hodari, wote vijana wa kuvutia.
13 Then I saw that she was defiled; that they both took one way.
Nikaona kwamba alikuwa amefanya uchafu mwenyewe. Ilikuwa kama kwa wadada wote.
14 But she added to her whoredoms; for she saw men portrayed upon the wall, images of Chaldaeans portrayed with vermilion,
Kisha akaongeza ukahaba wake tena zaidi. Aliona watu waume waliokuwa wamechorwa juu ya kuta, michoro ya Wakaldayo iliyochorwa kwa rangi nyekundu,
15 girded with girdles upon their loins, and having long mitres hanging down from their heads, in their appearance all of them princes, after the manner of the sons of Babylon, of Chaldaea, the land of their nativity;
waliovaa mikanda kuzunguka viuno vyao, na vilemba virefu juu ya vichwa vyao. Wote walikuwa na mwonekano wa maafisa wa jeshi la waendesha farasi, mfano wa wana wa Wababeli, ambao asili ya nchi ni Ukaldayo.
16 and as soon as she cast her eyes upon them, she doted on them, and sent messengers to them into Chaldaea.
Na mara macho yake yalipowaona, aliwatamani, hivyo akawatuma wajumbe wake kwao katika Ukaldayo.
17 And the sons of Babylon came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredoms, and she was polluted with them. She then became alienated from them.
Kisha Wababeli wakaja katika kitanda chake cha tamaa, na walimfanya unajisi kwa uzinzi wao. Kwa kile alichokuwa amekifanya alifanya unajisi, basi akageuka mwenyewe kutoka kwao katika karaha.
18 So she discovered her fornications, and discovered her nakedness. Then my mind was alienated from her, as it had been alienated from her sister.
Alionyesha matendo yake ya ukahaba na alionyesha uchi wake, hivyo roho yangu ikagauka kutoka kwake, kama roho yangu ilivyogeuka kutoka kwa dada yake.
19 For she multiplied her whoredoms in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she played the harlot in the land of Egypt;
Kisha alifanya matendo mengi zaidi ya ukahaba, akakumbuka na kutafakari siku za ujana wake, wakati alipotenda kama kahaba katika nchi ya Misri.
20 for she doted on their paramours, whose members were as the members of asses, and whose issue was as the issue of horses.
Basi akawatamani wapenzi wake, ambao sehemu zao za siri zilikuwa kama zile za punda, na kile kizaliwacho hutoka kilikuwa kama wale farasi.
21 Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, when thy teats were handled by the Egyptians, on account of the paps of thy youth.
Hivi ndivyo ulivyofanya matendo ya aibu ya ujana wako, wakati Wamisri walipopapasa chuchu zako kuyaminya maziwa ya ujana wako.
22 Therefore, O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will raise up against thee thy lovers, from whom thou art alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side,
Kwa hiyo, Oholiba, Bwana Yahwe asema hivi, 'Tazama! Nitawarudisha wapenzi wako dhidi yako. Wale ambao uliowarudisha, nitawaleta juu yako kutoka kila upande.
23 the Babylonians and all the Chaldaeans, prefects, rich men, and nobles, and all the Assyrians with them, all of them desirable young men, prefects and rulers, captains and men of renown, all of them riding upon horses.
Wababeli na Wakaldayo wote, Pekodi, Shoa, na Koa, na Waashuru wote pamoja nao, hodari, vijana wa kutamanika, magavana na maamiri jeshi, wote ni maafisa na watu wote wenye sifa, wote wenye kuendesha farasi.
24 And they shall come against thee with arms, chariots and wheels, and with hosts of people; with buckler and shield and helmet shall they set themselves against thee on every side. And I will commit to them judgment, and they shall punish thee according to their punishments.
Watakuja juu yako kwa silaha, na kwa magari ya farasi na mikokoteni, na kundi kubwa la watu. Watapanga ngao kubwa, ngao ndogo, na kofia za chuma juu yako pande zote. Nitawapatia nafasi kukuadhibu, na watakuadhibu kwa matendo yao.
25 And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal with thee in fury; they shall take away thy nose and thine ears, and thy posterity shall fall by the sword. They shall take away thy sons and thy daughters, and thy posterity shall be consumed with fire.
Kwa kuwa nitaweka hasira yangu ya wivu juu yako, na watashughulika na wewe kwa hasira. Watakukatilia mbali pua zako na masikio yako, na masalia yako wataanguka kwa upanga. Watawachukua wana wako na binti zako, na masalia yako watateketea kwa moto.
26 They shall also strip thee of thy garments, and take away thy fair jewels.
Watakuvua nguo zako na kuchukua mapambo yako ya vito.
27 Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt, so that thou shalt not lift thine eyes to them, nor remember Egypt any more.
Hivyo nitaiondoa tabia yako ya aibu kutoka kwako na matendo yako ya kikahaba kutoka nchi ya Misri. Hutainua macho yako kuwaelekea kwa sahauku, na hutaikumbuka Misri tena.'
28 For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thou art alienated.
Kwa kuwa Bwana Yahwe asema hivi, 'Tazama! Nitakutia katika mkono wa wale uwachukiao, kukurudisha kwenye mkono wa wale ambao uliokuwa umewarudisha.
29 And they shall deal with thee in hatred, and take away all the fruits of thy labor from thee, and shall leave thee naked and bare; and thy nakedness shall be uncovered, with which thou hast committed lewdness and fornication and foul whoredom.
Watashughulika pamoja nawe kwa chuki; watachukua milki zako zote na kukutelekeza uchi na kukuweka wazi. Uchi wa aibu ya ukahaba wako utafunuliwa, tabia yako ya aibu na uzinzi wako.
30 These things will I do to thee, because thou hast committed whoredom with the nations, and hast been polluted with their idols.
Haya mambo yatafanyika kwako kwa kuwa umetenda kama kahaba, tamaa za mataifa kwazo umetiwa unajisi kwa sanamu zao.
31 Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister, therefore will I give her cup into thy hand.
Umetembea katika njia za dada yako, hivyo nitaweka kikombe chake cha adhabu kwenye mkono wako.'
32 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou shalt drink of thy sister's cup, which is deep and large; it shall make thee a laughing-stock and a derision, for it containeth much.
Bwana Yahwe asema hivi, 'Utakinywea kikombe cha dada yako ambacho ni kirefu na kikubwa. Utakuwa dhihaka na kutawaliwa na dharau-hiki kikombe kimejaa kiasi kikubwa.
33 Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow. A cup of astonishment and amazement is the cup of thy sister Samaria.
Utajazwa kwa ulevi na huzuni, kikombe cha ushangao na uharibifu; kikombe cha dada yako Samaria.
34 Thou shalt even drink it and suck it out, and lick the sherds, and thou shalt tear thy breasts. For I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah.
Utakinywea na kubakia kitupu; kisha utakivunja vunja na kuyararua maziwa yako kuwa vipande vipande. Kwa kuwa nimesema hivyo-hivi ndivyo Bwana Yahwe asemavyo.'
35 Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.
Kwa hiyo, Bwana Yahwe asema hivi, 'Kwa sababu umenisahau na kunitupa mbali nyumba ya mgongo wako, basi pia utachukua matokeo ya tabia zako za aibu na matendo ya uasherati.”'
36 Moreover, Jehovah said to me, Son of man, punish Aholah and Aholibah; yea, declare to them their abominations;
Yahwe akanambia, “Mwanadamu, Je! utamhukumu Ohola na Oholiba? Basi waambie matendo yao ya machukizo,
37 that they have committed adultery, and blood is upon their hands, and that with their idols they have committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bore to me, to pass through the fire to them for food.
kwa kuwa wamefanya uzinzi, na kwa kuwa kuna damu juu ya vichwa vyao. Wamefanya uzinzi na sanamu zao, na wamewaweka hata wana wao kwenye moto, kama chakula cha sanamu zao.
38 This also have they done to me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths.
Kisha waliendelea kufanya hivi kwa ajili yangu: Wamepafanya patakatifu pangu unajisi, na katika siku hiyo hiyo wakainajisi Sabato zangu.
39 For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came into my sanctuary the same day to profane it; behold, thus have they done in my house.
Kwa kuwa walipokuwa wamewachinjia watoto wao kwa ajili ya sanamu zao, kisha wakaja hata patakatifu pangu siku hiyo hiyo kupanajisi! Hivyo tazama! Hivi ndivyo walivyofanya kati ya nyumba yangu.
40 Yea, ye sent for men to come from afar; messengers were sent to them, and behold, they came; for them didst thou wash thyself, and paint thine eyes, and deck thyself with ornaments.
Mmewatuma watu kutoka mbali, ambao wajumbe waliwatuma-sasa tazama. Wakaja kweli, ambao uliojiosha kwa ajili yao, uliweka rangi macho yako, na kujipamba kwa mapambo ya vito.
41 And thou didst seat thyself upon a stately bed before which a table was prepared, and thereon didst thou set my incense and my oil.
Huko ulikaa kwenye kitanda kizuri na kwenye meza iliyokuwa imepangwa mbele yake ulikuwa umeweka ubani na mafuta yangu.
42 Also the voice of a multitude at ease was with her; and together with men from the common multitude were brought deep-drinkers from the desert, who put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
Hivyo sauti za watu zilikuwa zimemzunguka; pamoja na watu wa kila aina, hata walevi waliletwa kutoka jangwani, na wakawavalisha vikuku mikononi mwao na mataji mazuri juu ya vichwa vyao.
43 Then said I concerning her that was worn out with adulteries, Will they now commit whoredoms with her, even with her?
Kisha nikasema juu yake aliyekuwa ameonywa kwa uzinzi, 'Sasa watazini pamoja naye, na yeye pamoja nao.'
44 They went in to her, as men go to a harlot; so went they in to Aholah and to Aholibah, the lewd women.
Wakamwingilia na kulala naye kama watu wamwingiliavyo kahaba. Katika njia hii walilala Ohola na Oholiba, waliokuwa wanawake wazinzi.
45 But righteous men shall judge them, as adulteresses are judged, and as women that shed blood are judged; for they are adulteresses, and blood is upon their hands.
Lakini watu wenye haki watapitisha hukumu na kuwaadhibu kama wazinzi, na watawaadhibu kwa hukumu kwa wale wamwagao damu, kwa sababu wao ni wazinzi na damu iko mikononi mwao.
46 For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will bring a great company against them, and will give them up to be harassed and spoiled,
Hivyo Bwana Yahwe asema hivi: Nitainua kundi la watu juu yao na kuwatoa kuwa kitisho na kuteka nyara.
47 and the company shall stone them with stones, and cut them in pieces with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn their houses with fire.
Kisha hilo kundi la watu litawapiga kwa mawe na kuwakatilia chini kwa panga zao. Watawaua wana wao na binti na kuzichoma nyumba zao.
48 Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may take warning, and not follow them in their lewdness.
Kwa kuwa nitaondoa tabia ya aibu kutoka kwenye nchi na nidhamu wanawake wote hivyo hawatatenda kama makahaba.
49 And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols; that ye may know that I am the Lord Jehovah.
Hivyo wataweka tabia yenu ya aibu juu yenu. Mtachukua hatia ya dhambi zenu pamoja na sanamu zenu, na kwa njia hii mtajua yakuwa mimi ni Bwana Yahwe.”
