Ezekiel 21
1 Then came the word of Jehovah to me, saying:
੧ਫੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
2 Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
੨ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰ।
3 and say to the land of Israel, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, and I will draw forth my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
੩ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਮਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਧਰਮੀ ਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ।
4 Seeing then that I cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north.
੪ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਤੱਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲੇਗੀ।
5 And all flesh shall know that I, Jehovah, have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath; it shall not return any more.
੫ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਜਾਣਨਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਮਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਖਿੱਚੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
6 Thou, therefore, O son of man, sigh! With the breaking of thy loins, and with bitterness, sigh before their eyes!
੬ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਲੱਕ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੌਂਕੇ ਭਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੁੜੱਤਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਠੰਡੇ ਸਾਹ ਲੈ।
7 And when they shall say to thee, “Wherefore sighest thou?” thou shalt say, “For the rumor, because it cometh; and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall fail, and all knees shall flow with water. Behold it cometh, it shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord Jehovah.”
੭ਇਹ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਹਾਏ, ਹਾਏ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਖੀਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਲ ਪੰਘਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਸਾਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਿਰਬਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਆਤਮਾ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੋਡੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਢਿੱਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਵੇਖੋ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
8 Also the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
੮ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
9 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith Jehovah: Say, The sword, the sword is sharpened and furbished.
੯ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਖ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਖ, ਤਲਵਾਰ ਸਗੋਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਸ਼ਕਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈ!
10 It is sharpened, that it may make sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter. Or shall we make mirth? The staff of my son despiseth every rod.
੧੦ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਹ ਲਿਸ਼ਕਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਲਿਸ਼ਕੇ। ਫੇਰ ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ? ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਆੱਸਾ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁੱਛ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ।
11 And he gave it to be furbished that it might be handled. The sword is sharpened and furbished, to be given into the hand of the slayer.
੧੧ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਸ਼ਕਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੜੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਹ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਸ਼ਕਾਈ ਗਈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਵੱਢਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
12 Cry and howl, son of man! for it cometh upon my people, upon all the princes of Israel. They are given up to the sword with my people. Therefore smite upon thy thigh.
੧੨ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੂੰ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਹਾਂ ਮਾਰ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲੇਗੀ। ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਚੱਲੇਗੀ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਟ ਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਮਾਰ,
13 The trial is made. And what if even the contemning staff should be no more? saith the Lord Jehovah.
੧੩ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਤਾਵਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੇ ਆੱਸਾ ਤੁੱਛ ਜਾਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ? ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
14 Thou, therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together! for twice, yea thrice, cometh the sword, a sword of slaughter, a sword of great slaughter, that besetteth them on every side.
੧੪ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੂੰ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰ, ਤਾੜੀ ਵਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਤੀਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਦੁੱਗਣਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ, ਵੱਢਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ! ਇਹ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਠੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
15 That their hearts may faint, and their overthrown may be multiplied, I have set the terror of the sword against all their gates. Ah, how is it made to glitter, polished for slaughter!
੧੫ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਦਿਲ ਪਿਘਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਠੋਕਰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਰੱਖੀ। ਹਾਏ ਲਿਸ਼ਕਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਤਲਵਾਰ! ਇਹ ਚਮਕਣ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਵੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ!
16 Unite thyself, smite to the right, prepare thyself, smite to the left, whithersoever thine edge is turned!
੧੬ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਜਾ, ਜਿੱਧਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਹੋਵੇ।
17 I also will smite my hands together, and cause mine anger to cease. I, Jehovah, have spoken it.
੧੭ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਤਾੜੀ ਵਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਠੰਡਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
18 The word of Jehovah came to me again, saying:
੧੮ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
19 Do thou, son of man, appoint thee two ways by which the sword of the king of Babylon may come; from one land shall both of them come; and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.
੧੯ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਦੋ ਰਾਹ ਬਣਾ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਆਵੇ। ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲਣਗੇ। ਇੱਕ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਬਣਾ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੇ ਬਣਾ।
20 Appoint a way, that the sword may come towards Rabbath of the sons of Ammon, and towards Judah, to Jerusalem, the fenced city.
੨੦ਇੱਕ ਰਾਹ ਕੱਢ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰੱਬਾਹ ਨਗਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਆਵੇ।
21 For the king of Babylon shall stand at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination; he shall shake together his arrows, he shall consult the teraphim, he shall look at the liver.
੨੧ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੋ ਰਾਹੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਪਾਅ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਲਈ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਤਰਾਫ਼ੀਮ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ।
22 In his right hand shall be the lot: Jerusalem, to set battering-rams, to open the mouth with the war-cry, to lift up the voice in shouting, to set battering-rams against the gates, to cast up a mound, to build a tower.
੨੨ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦਾ ਉਪਾਅ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਤੋੜ ਯੰਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਟਣ ਵੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ, ਜੈਕਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਉਠਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਤੋੜ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਘੇਰਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਬਣਾਵੇ।
23 And this shall appear a false divination in their sight, because they swore oaths to them. But he shall call to remembrance their iniquity, that they may be taken.
੨੩ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਝੂਠੇ ਉਪਾਅ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਫੜੇ ਜਾਣ।
24 Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye make your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear, —because, I say, ye bring yourselves into remembrance, ye shall be taken with that hand.
੨੪ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਏ, ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਾਪ ਦਿਸਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਏ ਹੋ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੜੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ।
25 And thou, profane, wicked prince of Israel, whose day cometh in the time when iniquity bringeth destruction!
੨੫ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਫੱਟੜ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ, ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ! ਇਹ ਬਦੀ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੈ!
26 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will remove the diadem, and take away the crown! This shall no more be this. I exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.
੨੬ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਮਾਮਾ ਉਤਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਜ ਲਾਹ ਦੇ। ਇਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਨੀਵੇਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਕਰ।
27 I will destroy, destroy, destroy it; and it shall be no more until he come to whom the right belongeth, and to whom I will give it.
੨੭ਬਰਬਾਦੀ, ਬਰਬਾਦੀ, ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ! ਪਰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
28 And thou, son of man, prophesy, and say: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the sons of Ammon and their scorn; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn; to slay, to consume, is it furbished, so that it glittereth;
੨੮ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੂੰ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਾਨੇ ਮਿਹਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਆਖ, ਇੱਕ ਤਲਵਾਰ! ਸਗੋਂ ਖਿੱਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਤਲਵਾਰ! ਵੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਡਾਢੀ ਚਮਕਾਈ ਗਈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋਵੇ।
29 while they see deceit for thee, and prophesy falsehood, that it may bring thee to the necks of the wicked that are slain, whose day cometh in the time when iniquity bringeth destruction.
੨੯ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਝੂਠੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਉਪਾਅ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵੱਢਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੌਣਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦੇਣ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
30 Return the sword into its sheath! In the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity, I will judge thee,
੩੦ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨਮ ਸਥਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਨਮ ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
31 and I will pour upon thee my indignation, I will blow upon thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hands of brutal men, skilful to destroy.
੩੧ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਹਿਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੜਕਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਪਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰ ਹਨ।
32 Thou shalt be fuel for the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; men shall no more remember thee. I, Jehovah, have spoken it.
