Daniel 1
1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, came Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, against Jerusalem, and besieged it.
১যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোয়াকীমৰ ৰাজত্ব কালৰ তৃতীয় বছৰত, বাবিলৰ ৰজা নবূখদনেচৰ যিৰূচালেমলৈ আহিল, আৰু সকলো দিশৰ পৰা যোগান বন্ধ কৰিবলৈ নগৰখন বেৰি ধৰিলে।
2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God; and he carried them into the land of Shinar, to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure-house of his god.
২প্ৰভুৱে নবুখদনেচৰক যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোয়াকীমৰ ওপৰত জয়যুক্ত কৰিলে, আৰু তেওঁ ঈশ্বৰৰ গৃহৰ পৰা কিছুমান পবিত্র বস্তু তেওঁক দিলে। নবুখদনেচৰে সেই বস্তুবোৰ চিনাৰ দেশত থকা নিজৰ দেৱতাৰ গৃহলৈ লৈ গ’ল; আৰু তেওঁ সেই বস্তুবোৰ নিজৰ দেৱতাৰ ভঁৰালত হ’ল।
3 And the king commanded Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the sons of Israel of the king's race, and of the princes,
৩তাৰ পাছত ৰজাই তেওঁৰ নপুংসকসকলৰ অধ্যক্ষ অস্পনজকক কৈছিল, “ৰাজ-বংশৰ আৰু প্ৰধান লোকসকলৰ মাজৰ কিছুমান
4 youths in whom was no blemish, and well favored, and skilful in all wisdom, and having knowledge and intelligence and strength, to stand as servants in the king's palace, and be taught the writing and the language of the Chaldaeans.
৪কলঙ্ক নথকা, দেখাত আকৰ্ষণীয়, সকলো বিদ্যাত নিপুণ, জ্ঞান আৰু বিবেচনাৰে পৰিপূৰ্ণ, আৰু ৰাজগৃহত পৰিচৰ্যা কৰিবলৈ যোগ্যতা থকা ইস্রায়েলী যুৱকসকলক মাতি আনা। তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক কলদীয়া সাহিত্য আৰু ভাষা শিকাইছিল।
5 And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's food, and of the wine which he drank; so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand as servants before the king.
৫ৰজাই তেওঁৰ বিশেষ উত্তম খাদ্যৰ পৰা আৰু তেওঁ পান কৰা দ্ৰাক্ষাৰসৰ পৰা তেওঁলোকক প্রতিদিনৰ ভাগ দিছিল। এই যুৱক সকলক তিনি বছৰৰ বাবে প্ৰশিক্ষণ দিয়া হ’ব, আৰু তাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোকে ৰজাৰ আগত পৰিচৰ্যা কৰিব পাৰিব।
6 Now among these were, of the sons of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
৬তেওঁলোকৰ মাজত যিহূদা-বংশৰ দানিয়েল, হননিয়া, মীচায়েল, আৰু অজৰিয়াও আছিল।
7 And the prince of the eunuchs gave them other names. To Daniel he gave the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego.
৭নপুংসকসকলৰ অধ্যক্ষই তেওঁলোকৰ নাম সলনি কৰি দানিয়েলক বেলটচচৰ, হননিয়াক চদ্ৰক, মীচায়েলক মৈচক, আৰু অজৰিয়াক অবেদ-নগো নাম দিলে।
8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
৮কিন্তু দানিয়েলে ৰজাৰ উত্তম খাদ্য আৰু পান কৰা দ্ৰাক্ষাৰসেৰে সৈতে নিজকে অশুচি নকৰিবলৈ তেওঁ চিন্তিত আছিল; সেই বাবে দানিয়েলে নপুংসকসকলৰ অধ্যক্ষৰ অনুমতি বিচাৰিছিলে, যাতে তেওঁ এইবোৰ খাদ্য গ্রহণ কৰি অশুচি নহয়।
9 And God gave Daniel favor and kindness from the prince of the eunuchs.
৯তেতিয়া ঈশ্বৰে দানিয়েলক নপুংসকসকলৰ সেই অধ্যক্ষৰ আগত দয়া আৰু অনুগ্ৰহ প্ৰাপ্ত কৰিলে।
10 And the prince of the eunuchs said to Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink; for he might see your faces in worse condition than the youths of your age; then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.
১০তাতে নপুংসকসকলৰ সেই অধ্যক্ষই দানিয়েলক ক’লে, “মোৰ প্ৰভু মহাৰাজক মই ভয় কৰোঁ। তোমালোকে কি খাবা আৰু কি পান কৰিবা সেই বিষয়ে ৰজাই মোক আদেশ দিছে, কিয়নো তেওঁ তোমালোকৰ মুখ তোমালোকৰ সমবয়সীয়া যুৱকসকলতকৈ নিকৃষ্ট দেখিব? তোমালোকৰ কাৰণে মোৰ ওপৰত ৰজাৰ প্রতাপ আছে।”
11 Then said Daniel to the steward whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
১১তাৰ পাছত দানিয়েল, হননিয়া, মীচায়েল, আৰু অজৰিয়াৰ ওপৰত নিযুক্ত কৰা তত্ত্বাবধায়কৰ সৈতে দানিয়েলে কথা পাতিলে।
12 Try thy servants ten days, and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.
১২তেওঁ ক’লে, “আপুনি অনুগ্ৰহ কৰি, দহ দিন আপোনাৰ এই দাস সকলক পৰীক্ষা কৰি চাওক; আমাক খাবলৈ কেৱল শাক-পাচলি, আৰু পান কৰিবলৈ পানী দিয়ক।
13 Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenances of the youths that eat of the portion of the king's meat; and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.
১৩তাৰ পাছত আমাৰ, আৰু ৰজাৰ উত্তম খাদ্য খোৱা যুৱকসকলৰ চেহেৰাৰ পৰীক্ষা কৰি চাওক; আপুনি যি দেখিব, সেইদৰে আপোনাৰ এই দাসবোৰলৈ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব।”
14 And he consented to them in this matter, and tried them ten days.
১৪সেয়ে তেওঁ তেওঁলোকৰ সেই কথাত মান্তি হৈ দহ দিনলৈকে তেওঁলোকক পৰীক্ষা কৰিলে।
15 And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate the portion of the king's meat.
১৫দহ দিনৰ পাছত দেখা গ’ল, ৰজাৰ উত্তম খাদ্য খোৱা যুৱকসকলতকৈ তেওঁলোকৰ চেহেৰা অধিক স্বাস্থ্যৱান, আৰু অধিক পৰিপুষ্ট হ’ল।
16 So the steward took away the portion of their meat, and the wine which they should drink, and gave them pulse.
১৬সেয়ে তত্বাৱধায়কে তেওঁলোকক উত্তম আহাৰ, আৰু দ্ৰাক্ষাৰসৰ সলনি তেওঁলোকক শাক-পাচলি দিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
17 And God gave these four youths knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
১৭ঈশ্বৰে সেই চাৰি জন যুৱকক সকলো আভ্যন্তৰীণ বিষয়ৰ শিক্ষা, জ্ঞান আৰু প্রজ্ঞা দিলে। তাতে দানিয়েলে সকলো প্রকাৰৰ দৰ্শন আৰু সপোনৰ কথা বুজিব পৰা হ’ল।
18 And at the end of the days, when the king had commanded him to bring them before him, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
১৮তাৰ পাছত ৰজাৰ দ্বাৰাই নিৰ্ণয় কৰা যি সময়ত সকলোকে আনিবলৈ ৰজাই আজ্ঞা দিছিল। সেই সময়ত নপুংসকসকলৰ অধক্ষ্যই ৰজা নবূখদনেচৰৰ আগত তেওঁলোকক উপস্থিত কৰালে।
19 And the king conversed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore they stood as servants before the king.
১৯ৰজাই তেওঁলোকৰ লগত কথা পাতিলে, আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ সকলো দলৰ মাজত, দানিয়েল, হননিয়া, মীচায়েল, আৰু অজৰিয়াৰ তুলনাত আন কাকো পোৱা নগ’ল। সেয়ে তেওঁলোকে ৰজাৰ আগত পৰিচৰ্যা কৰিবলৈ প্রস্তুত হ’ল।
20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the scribes and magicians that were in all his realm.
২০ৰজাই তেওঁলোকক সোধা জ্ঞান আৰু বিবেচনাৰ প্রতিটো প্রশ্নৰ বিষয়ত, তেওঁৰ ৰাজ্যত থকা শাস্ত্ৰজ্ঞ আৰু গণকসকলতকৈ তেওঁলোকক দহগুণে শ্রেষ্ঠ পালে।
21 And Daniel lived even to the first year of Cyrus the king.
২১দানিয়েল ৰজা কোৰচৰ ৰাজত্বৰ প্ৰথম বছৰলৈকে সেই ঠাইতে থাকিল।
