Colossians 3
1 If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is sitting on the right hand of God.
Jeśli więc razem z Chrystusem powstaliście [z martwych], szukajcie tego, co w górze, gdzie Chrystus zasiada po prawicy Boga.
2 Set your mind on the things above, not on things on the earth.
Myślcie o tym, co w górze, nie o tym, co na ziemi.
3 For ye died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God;
Umarliście bowiem i wasze życie jest ukryte z Chrystusem w Bogu.
4 when Christ, our life, shall be manifested, then will ye also be manifested with him in glory.
Lecz gdy się Chrystus, nasze życie, ukaże, wtedy i wy razem z nim ukażecie się w chwale.
5 Make dead therefore your members which are upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, lust, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;
Umartwiajcie więc wasze członki, które są na ziemi: nierząd, nieczystość, namiętność, złe żądze i chciwość, która jest bałwochwalstwem;
6 on account of which things cometh the wrath of God.
Z powodu których przychodzi gniew Boży na synów nieposłuszeństwa.
7 In which things ye also once walked, when ye lived in them;
I wy niegdyś tak postępowaliście, gdy żyliście w nich.
8 but now put ye away all these, anger, wrath, malice, evil-speaking, filthy language out of your mouth.
Lecz teraz i wy odrzućcie to wszystko: gniew, zapalczywość, złośliwość, bluźnierstwo i nieprzyzwoite słowa z waszych ust.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds,
Nie okłamujcie się wzajemnie, skoro zrzuciliście [z siebie] starego człowieka z jego uczynkami;
10 and have put on the new man, who is renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him;
A przyodzialiście się w nowego, który się odnawia w poznaniu na obraz tego, który go stworzył.
11 where there is no Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bondman, freeman; but Christ is all, and in all.
Gdzie nie ma Greka ani Żyda, obrzezanego ani nieobrzezanego, cudzoziemca ani Scyty, niewolnika ani wolnego, ale wszystkim i we wszystkich Chrystus.
12 Clothe yourselves, therefore, as the chosen of God, holy and beloved, with compassionate affections, kindness, lowliness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;
Tak więc jako wybrani Boga, święci i umiłowani, przyodziejcie się w serdeczne miłosierdzie, dobroć, pokorę, łagodność, cierpliwość;
13 bearing with each other, and forgiving each other, if any one have a complaint against another; even as Christ freely forgave you, do ye also freely forgive;
Znosząc jedni drugich i przebaczając sobie nawzajem, jeśli ktoś ma skargę przeciw drugiemu: jak i Chrystus przebaczył wam, tak i wy.
14 and over all these things put on the robe of love, which is the bond of perfectness;
A nade wszystko [przyodziejcie się] w miłość, która jest więzią doskonałości.
15 and let the peace of Christ, to which ye were called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be ye thankful.
A pokój Boży niech rządzi w waszych sercach, do którego też jesteście powołani w jednym ciele. Bądźcie też wdzięczni.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, in grace singing in your hearts to God;
Słowo Chrystusa niech mieszka w was obficie ze wszelką mądrością, nauczajcie i napominajcie się wzajemnie przez psalmy, hymny i pieśni duchowe, z wdzięcznością śpiewając w waszych sercach Panu.
17 and whatever ye do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God, the Father, through him.
A wszystko, co czynicie w słowie lub w uczynku, wszystko [czyńcie] w imię Pana Jezusa, dziękując Bogu i Ojcu przez niego.
18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
Żony, bądźcie poddane swym mężom, jak przystoi w Panu.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
Mężowie, miłujcie [wasze] żony i nie bądźcie surowi wobec nich.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things; for this is well-pleasing in the Lord.
Dzieci, bądźcie posłuszne rodzicom we wszystkim, to bowiem podoba się Panu.
21 Fathers, provoke not your children, lest they be discouraged.
Ojcowie, nie pobudzajcie do gniewu waszych dzieci, aby nie upadały na duchu.
22 Bond-servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord.
Słudzy, bądźcie posłuszni we wszystkim ziemskim panom, nie służąc dla oka, jak ci, którzy chcą się podobać ludziom, lecz w szczerości serca, bojąc się Boga.
23 Whatever ye do, do it from the heart, as to the Lord, and not to men,
A wszystko, co czynicie, z serca czyńcie, jak dla Pana, a nie dla ludzi;
24 knowing that from the Lord ye will receive the recompense of the inheritance; serve Christ as your Lord.
Wiedząc, że od Pana otrzymacie dziedzictwo [jako] zapłatę, gdyż służycie Panu Chrystusowi.
25 For he that doeth wrong, shall receive back the wrong which he hath done; and there is no respect of persons.
A ten, kto wyrządza krzywdę, otrzyma zapłatę za krzywdę, a [u Boga] nie ma względu na osobę.
