Amos 9
1 I saw the Lord standing by the altar; and he said: Smite the capital, so that the thresholds shall tremble! Break them in pieces upon the heads of all of them! And their residue will I slay with the sword. He that fleeth of them shall not flee from danger, And he that escapeth of them shall not escape into safety.
௧ஆண்டவரைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் நிற்கக்கண்டேன்; அவர்: நீ வாசல் நிலைகள் அசையும்படி தூணின் உச்சியை அடித்து, அவைகளை அவர்கள் எல்லோருடைய தலையின்மேலும் விழும்படி உடைத்துப்போடு; அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னாகவரும் மீதியானவர்களை நான் வாளால் கொன்றுபோடுவேன்; அவர்களில் ஓடுகிறவன் ஒருவனும் தப்புவதுமில்லை, அவர்களில் தப்புகிறவன் ஒருவனும் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவதுமில்லை.
2 Though they dig down to the under-world, Thence shall my hand take them; Though they climb up to heaven, Thence will I bring them down. (Sheol h7585)
௨அவர்கள் பாதாளம்வரைக்கும் தோண்டிப் பதுங்கிக்கொண்டாலும், என்னுடைய கை அந்த இடத்திலிருந்து அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுவரும்; அவர்கள் வானம்வரை ஏறினாலும், அந்த இடத்திலிருந்து அவர்களை இறங்கச்செய்வேன்; (Sheol h7585)
3 Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, There will I search for them, and take them away; Though they hide themselves from mine eyes in the bottom of the sea, There will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them.
௩அவர்கள் கர்மேலின் உச்சியிலே ஒளிந்துகொண்டாலும், அங்கே அவர்களைத் தேடிப்பிடிப்பேன்; அவர்கள் கடலின் ஆழத்திலே போய் என்னுடைய கண்களுக்கு மறைந்துகொண்டாலும், அங்கே அவர்களைக் கடிக்கப் பாம்புகளுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவேன்.
4 Though they go into captivity before their enemies, There will I command the sword, and it shall slay them; I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
௪அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய எதிரிக்கு முன்பாகச் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போனாலும், அங்கே அவர்களைக் கொன்றுபோட வாளுக்கு நான் கட்டளையிட்டு, என்னுடைய கண்களை அவர்கள்மேல் நன்மைக்கல்ல, தீமைக்கென்றே வைப்பேன்.
5 For the Lord Jehovah of hosts Is he, that toucheth the earth, and it shall melt, And all that dwell therein shall mourn; All of it shall rise in waves like a river, And shall be overflowed, as by the river of Egypt;
௫சேனைகளின் யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் தேசத்தைத் தொட, அது உருகிப்போகும்; அப்பொழுது அதின் குடிகள் எல்லோரும் புலம்புவார்கள்; எங்கும் நதியாகப் புரண்டோடி, எகிப்தினுடைய ஆற்று வெள்ளத்தைப்போல் வெள்ளமாகும்.
6 He that buildeth his upper rooms in the heavens, And foundeth his arch upon the earth, —That calleth the waters of the sea, And poureth them out upon the face of the earth, —Jehovah is his name.
௬அவர் வானத்தில் தமது மேல் அறைகளைக் கட்டி, பூமியில் தமது கீழ் அறைகளை அஸ்திபாரப்படுத்தி, கடலின் தண்ணீர்களை வரவழைத்து, அவைகளைப் பூமியினுடைய விசாலத்தின்மேல் ஊற்றுகிறவர்; யெகோவா என்பது அவருடைய நாமம்.
7 Are ye not as the Ethiopians to me, O children of Israel? saith Jehovah. Did I not bring Israel from the land of Egypt, And the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?
௭இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களே, நீங்கள் எனக்கு எத்தியோப்பியர்களின் மக்களைப்போல் இருக்கிறீர்கள் அல்லவோ என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; நான் இஸ்ரவேலை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்தும், பெலிஸ்தர்களைக் கப்தோரிலிருந்தும், சீரியர்களைக் கீரிலிருந்தும் கொண்டுவரவில்லையோ?
8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord Jehovah are upon the sinful kingdom, And I will destroy it from the face of the earth; Yet will I not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith Jehovah.
௮இதோ, யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவரின் கண்கள் பாவமுள்ள ராஜ்ஜியத்திற்கு விரோதமாக வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; அதை பூமியின்மேல் இல்லாமல் அழித்துப்போடுவேன்; ஆகிலும் யாக்கோபின் வம்சத்தை முழுவதும் அழிக்கமாட்டேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
9 For, behold, I will command, And I will sift the house of Israel among all the nations, As one sifteth corn with a sieve, And not a grain shall fall upon the ground.
௯இதோ, சல்லடையினால் சலித்து அரிக்கிறதுபோல் இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரை எல்லா தேசங்களுக்குள்ளும் சலித்து அரிக்கும்படி நான் கட்டளையிடுவேன்; ஆனாலும் ஒரு கோதுமை மணியும் தரையிலே விழுவதில்லை.
10 But all the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, Who say, Evil shall not approach, nor fall upon us.
௧0தீங்கு எங்களை அணுகுவதுமில்லை, எங்களுக்கு நேரிடுவதுமில்லையென்று என்னுடைய மக்களில் சொல்லுகிற பாவிகள் எல்லோரும் வாளால் சாவார்கள்.
11 In that day I will raise up the fallen tabernacle of David, And I will close up the breaches thereof, And raise up its ruins, And I will build it, as in the days of old.
௧௧ஏதோமில் மீதியானவர்களையும், என்னுடைய பெயர் சொல்லிய எல்லா தேசங்களையும் தன்னிடத்தில் சேர்த்துக்கொள்வதற்காக,
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the nations, which shall be called by my name. Thus saith Jehovah, who doeth this.
௧௨அந்த நாளிலே விழுந்துபோன தாவீதின் கூடாரத்தை நான் திரும்ப எடுத்து, அதின் திறப்புகளை அடைத்து, அதில் பழுதாய்ப்போனதைச் சீர்ப்படுத்தி, ஆரம்பநாட்களில் இருந்ததுபோல அதை நிறுவுவேன் என்று இதைச் செய்கிற யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
13 Behold the days come, saith Jehovah, That the plougher shall draw near to the reaper, And the treader of grapes to the sower of the seed; And the mountains shall drop new wine, And all the hills shall melt.
௧௩இதோ, உழுகிறவன் அறுக்கிறவனையும், திராட்சைப்பழங்களை பிழிகிறவன் விதைக்கிறவனையும் தொடர்ந்துபிடித்து, மலைகள் திராட்சைரசமாக வடிகிறதும், மேடுகளெல்லாம் கரைகிறதுமான நாட்கள் வரும் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
14 I will bring back the captives of my people Israel, And they shall build the desolate cities, and shall inhabit them; And they shall plant vineyards, and drink their wine; They shall also make gardens, and eat their fruit.
௧௪என்னுடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின் சிறையிருப்பைத் திருப்புவேன்; அவர்கள் பாழான நகரங்களைக் கட்டி, அவைகளில் குடியிருந்து, திராட்சைத்தோட்டங்களை நாட்டி, அவைகளுடைய பழரசத்தைக் குடித்து, தோட்டங்களை உண்டாக்கி, அவைகளின் கனிகளை சாப்பிடுவார்கள்.
15 I will plant them in their land, And they shall no more be rooted up from the land which I have given them, Saith Jehovah, thy God.
௧௫அவர்களை அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலே நாட்டுவேன்; நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த தேசத்திலிருந்து அவர்கள் இனிப் பிடுங்கப்படுவதில்லையென்று உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார் என்றார்.
