Amos 2

1 Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Moab, And for four, will I not turn away his punishment; For he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime!

Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah: Noho ny fahotana telon’ i Moaba, eny, efatra aza, dia tsy havelako izy, satria nodorany ho sokay ny taolan’ ny mpanjakan’ i Edoma;

2 But I will send a fire on Moab, Which shall devour the palaces of Kirioth; And Moab shall die amid tumults, Amid the war-shout, and the sound of the trumpet.

Fa hataoko afo ao Moaba, ka handevona ny tranoben’ i Kiriota izany; Ary Moaba ho faty amin’ ny tabataba sy amin’ ny akora ary ny fanenon’ ny anjomara;

3 I will destroy the judge from the midst of him, And slay all the princes with him, saith Jehovah.

Ary hofoanako tsy hisy mpitsara ao aminy, ary hiaraka hovonoiko izy sy ireo mpanapaka rehetra ao aminy, hoy Jehovah.

4 Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Judah, And for four, will I not turn away their punishment; For they have despised the law of Jehovah, And have not kept his statutes, And their idols have caused them to err, After which their fathers walked.

Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah: Noho ny fahotana telon’ i Joda, eny, efatra aza, dia tsy havelako izy, satria nataony tsinontsinona ny lalàn’ i Jehovah, ary ny didiny tsy notandremany, ary nampahadiso azy ny laingany, izay fanaon’ ny razany;

5 But I will send a fire upon Judah, Which shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

6 Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, And for four, will I not turn away their punishment. For they sell the righteous for silver, And the needy for a pair of shoes;

Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah: Noho ny fahotana telon’ Isiraely, eny, efatra aza, dia tsy havelako izy, satria namidiny volafotsy ny olona marina sy kapa iray lomisy ny malahelo,

7 They pant for the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, And pervert the cause of the afflicted. The son and the father go in to the same damsel, To dishonor my holy name.

Ary mihanahana mitsiriritra ny vovo-tany eo an-dohan’ ny malahelo izy sady mamily ny alehan’ ny mpandefitra, ary olona mianaka dia samy mandry amin’ ny zazavavy iray ihany mba handoto ny anarako masìna;

8 They lay themselves down upon pledged garments Near every altar; And drink wine, procured by fines, In the house of their gods.

Amin’ ny lamba azony tamin’ ny tsatòka izy no mitsilailay eny anilan’ ny alitara rehetra, ary misotro divay novidina tamin’ ny sazy ao an-tranon’ ireo andriamaniny izy.

9 Yet I destroyed the Amorites before them, Who were tall as the cedars, And strong as the oaks. I destroyed their fruit above, And their roots beneath.

Nefa Izaho no nandringana ny Amorita teo anoloany, dia olona izay lava tsanganana toy ny hazo sedera sy natanjaka toy ny ôka; Eny, nosimbako ny voany teny ambony sy ny fatany tao ambany.

10 I brought you up from the land of Egypt, And led you in the desert forty years, That ye might possess the land of the Amorite.

Ary Izaho no nitondra anareo niakatra avy tany amin’ ny tany Egypta sady nitari-dalana anareo efa-polo taona tany an-efitra, mba handovanareo ny tanin’ ny Amorita,

11 Of your sons also I raised up prophets, And of your young men Nazarites; Is it not even so, O ye sons of Israel? saith Jehovah.

Ary ny zanakalahinareo nisy natsangako ho mpaminany, ary ny zatovonareo ho Nazirita. Tsy izany va no izy, ry Zanak’ Isiraely? hoy Jehovah.

12 But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink, And commanded the prophets, Saying, Prophesy not!

Kanjo nampisotroinareo divay ny Nazirita, ary ny mpaminany noraranareo hoe: Aza maminany.

13 Behold, I will press you down, As a wagon presseth down that is full of sheaves.

Indro, Izaho no hitambesatra aminareo toy ny fitambesatry ny sariety feno amboara.

14 And flight shall fail the swift, And the strong shall not exert his strength, And the mighty shall not save his life,

Koa tsy ho afa-mandositra ny faingam-pandeha, ny mahery tsy hampiseho hery, ary ny lehilahy mahery tsy hahavonjy ny ainy;

15 And he that handleth the bow shall not stand, And the swift of foot shall not save himself, And the horseman shall not escape with his life.

Izay mitana tsipìka tsy hahajanona, ary ny faingan-tongotra tsy hahavonjy tena, izay mitaingin-tsoavaly tsy hahavonjy ny ainy;

16 He that is strong in heart among the mighty Shall, in that day, flee away naked, saith Jehovah.

Ary na dia izay sahy ao amin’ ny mahery aza dia handositra mitanjaka amin’ izany andro izany, hoy Jehovah.
