< Acts 1 >

1 The former narrative I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus both did and taught from the beginning
Nungsijaraba Theophilus, eigi ahanba lairikta Jisuna thabak touba houba matam adudagi houraga, Ibungona pakhonchatpa oina khandokkhrabasing aduda Thawai Asengbagi panggalgi mapanna yathang piraba matung, Ibungobu swargada loukhatkhiba matam adu phaobada mahakna toukhiba amadi tambikhiba pumnamaksing adugi maramda ikhre.
2 until the day in which, after he had through the Holy Spirit given commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen, he was taken up;
3 to whom also he showed himself living, after he had suffered, by many sure proofs, appearing to them during forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
Ibungona siraba matungda, mahakna makhoida numit niphuni chupna masamakpu uhanbirammi amasung mahak hingli haibagi soiphadraba khudam kaya utlammi. Makhoina Ibungobu ujarammi aduga Ibungona makhoida Tengban Mapugi leibakki maramda haibirammi.
4 And while in assembly with them, he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for what had been promised by the Father, which [[said he]] ye heard from me;
Nongma Ibungona makhoiga chaminnaringeida yathang asi makhoida pirak-i, “Nakhoi Jerusalem thadoktuna chatkhiganu, eina nakhoida haikhiba Ipana pibigani wasakpikhiba khudol adugidamak ngaiyu.
5 for John indeed baptized with water, but ye will be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days hence.
John-nadi isingda baptize tou-i adubu numit kharanigi manungda nakhoibu Thawai Asengbada baptize toubigani.”
6 They therefore, having come together, asked him, saying, Lord, art thou at this time about to restore the kingdom to Israel?
Adudagi pakhonchatpasingna Ibungogi akoibada pulladuna Ibungoda hanglak-i, “Ibungo, matam asida Ibungona ningthou leibak adu Israel-da hanjinbigadouribra?”
7 But he said to them, It belongeth not to you to know times or seasons, which the Father appointed by his own authority.
Maduda Jisuna makhoida khumlak-i, “Eigi Ipana masakhaktagi matikki mapanna lepkhraba matam amadi makum matha adu karamba matamda oigani haiba adu nakhoina khangpham thokte.
8 But ye will receive power when the Holy Spirit hath come upon you; and ye will be my witnesses, both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Adubu Thawai Asengbana nakhoigi nathakta lengthabirakpa matamda nakhoina panggal phangjagani aduga nakhoina Jerusalem, Judea amadi Samaria apumba aduga malem-gi aroiba ngamkhei phaoba eigi maramda sakhi oigani.”
9 And having thus spoken, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Masi hairaba matungda makhoina yengna yengna Ibungobu swargada loukhatkhre aduga leichin amana Ibungobu makhoigi mityengdagi khanjinkhre.
10 And while they were looking earnestly into heaven as he went up, lo! two men stood by them in white apparel,
Ibungona asum lengkhatlingei aduga makhoina nongthaklomda mityeng hongdana yenglingeida, yeng-u, khanghoudana phingou setpa nupa anina makhoigi manakta leplare.
11 who said, Men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This Jesus, who hath been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same manner in which ye beheld him going into heaven.
Aduga makhoina hairak-i, “Galilee-gi misa, nakhoina mapham asida leptuna nongthaklomda karigi yenglibano? Nakhoigi naraktagi swargada loukhatkhraba Jisu asimak mahakna swargada chatkhiba matou asiga chap mannana Ibungona amuk hallakkhigani.”
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem, from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, within a sabbath-day's journey.
Adudagi pakhonchatpasingna Chorophon Chingdagi Jerusalem-da laklammi. Mapham adudagi Jerusalem asi chaorakna kilometre amamuk lappi.
13 And when they had come in, they went up into the upper room where they were making their abode, namely, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the zealot, and Judas the brother of James.
Makhoina sahar aduda thunglabada, makhoina leiramba mathakki ka aduda kakhatlammi. Maduda yaobasing adudi Peter, John, Jacob, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, Alphaeus-ki machanupa Jacob, mareibak ningba Simon amasung Jacob-ki machanupa Judas-ni.
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer, with women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
Makhoina nupising, Jisugi mama Mary amadi Ibungogi manaosingga loinana pukning amata oina tattana Tengban Mapuda haijaminnarammi.
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the brethren, and said, (the number of the names together was about one hundred and twenty, )
Numit kharanigi matungda thajaba ichil-inao chama kunmuk mapham aduda tinnarammi amasung maduda Peter-na lepkhattuna hairak-i,
16 Brethren, it was necessary that this scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit through the mouth of David spoke before concerning Judas, who became guide to those who took Jesus.
“Ichil inaosa, Jisubu phabada lamjingkhiba Judas-ki maramda mamangeida David-ki mapanna Thawai Asengbana haikhiba Mapugi puyagi wa adu thungba tabani.
17 For he was numbered among us, and obtained the allotment of this ministry.
Mahak eikhoigi irakta masing challammi amasung eikhoigi thougal touba asida mahaksu saruk yaminnarammi.”
18 Now this man purchased a field with the wages of the iniquity; and falling headlong he burst asunder in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out.
Mahakna toukhiba phattaba thabak adudagi phangkhiba sel aduna Judas-na loubuk ama leikhi aduga mapham aduda mahak mamaina leimaida upna taduna mabuk kaikhi aduga makhoi maril chongthokkhi.
19 And it became known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that that field is called in their own tongue, Aceldamach, that is, Field of Blood.
Jerusalem-da leiba mi khudingna pao adu tare aduga makhoina makhoigi londa loubuk adubu Akeldama haina koukhi haibadi handokpada “Eegi loubuk” haibani.
20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, “Let his habitation be made desolate, and let no one dwell therein;” and, “Let another take his office.”
Peter-na makha taraduna hairak-i, “Laison iseigi lairikta asumna iduna lei, ‘Mahakki yum hangsanu; Aduga maduda mi kana amata leitasanu.’ Asumnasu iduna lei, ‘Kanagumba amana mahakki luchingbagi pham adu lousanu.’”
21 Of these men, therefore, who accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
“Maram aduna, Ibungo Jisuna sibadagi hinggatkhiba adugi sakhi oinaba kanagumba ama eikhoiga punba tare. Mahak adu John-na baptize touba houbadagi Ibungo Jisubu eikhoigi iraktagi swargada loukhatkhiba matam adu phaoba, Ibungona eikhoiga punminnaringei matam pumbada yaoba mi ama oigadabani”
22 from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us, must one be made a witness with us of his resurrection.
23 And they proposed two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
Adudagi makhoina mi ani khandokle. Makhoi adudi Barsabbas haina kounaba Joseph (Justus hainasu khangnaba) amadi Matthias-ni.
24 And they prayed saying, Thou, Lord, who knowest the hearts of all men, show which of these two thou hast chosen
Adudagi makhoina haija-nijaduna hairak-i, “Ibungo, nahakti mi pumnamakki thamoibu khangbibani. Judas-na masagi oiba mapham aduda chatkhibada thadoklamlaba pakhonchatpagi thougal asi lounanaba, makhoi ani asigi maraktagi Ibungona karambabu khandokpibage haibadu eikhoida utpiyu”
25 to take the part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell away, that he might go to his own place.
26 And they cast lots for them; and the lot fell upon Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Adudagi makhoi anigi maraktagi amabu khannanaba makhoina laibak chang yengnabada madu Matthias-ta tare. Maram aduna mahakpu pakhonchatpa taramathoi aduga loinana masing chanminnare.
