Acts 9
1 But Saul, yet breathing out threatening and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,
தத்காலபர்ய்யநதம்’ ஸௌ²ல: ப்ரபோ⁴: ஸி²ஷ்யாணாம்’ ப்ராதிகூல்யேந தாட³நாப³த⁴யோ: கதா²ம்’ நி: ஸாரயந் மஹாயாஜகஸ்ய ஸந்நிதி⁴ம்’ க³த்வா
2 and asked of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any who were of this way of belief, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
ஸ்த்ரியம்’ புருஷஞ்ச தந்மதக்³ராஹிணம்’ யம்’ கஞ்சித் பஸ்²யதி தாந் த்⁴ரு’த்வா ப³த்³த்⁴வா யிரூஸா²லமம் ஆநயதீத்யாஸ²யேந த³ம்மேஷக்நக³ரீயம்’ த⁴ர்ம்மஸமாஜாந் ப்ரதி பத்ரம்’ யாசிதவாந்|
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus; and suddenly there shone around a him a light from heaven;
க³ச்ச²ந் து த³ம்மேஷக்நக³ரநிகட உபஸ்தி²தவாந்; ததோ(அ)கஸ்மாத்³ ஆகாஸா²த் தஸ்ய சதுர்தி³க்ஷு தேஜஸ: ப்ரகாஸ²நாத் ஸ பூ⁴மாவபதத்|
4 and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
பஸ்²சாத் ஹே ஸௌ²ல ஹே ஸௌ²ல குதோ மாம்’ தாட³யஸி? ஸ்வம்’ ப்ரதி ப்ரோக்தம் ஏதம்’ ஸ²ப்³த³ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And he answered, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
ஸ ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந், ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ ப⁴வாந் க: ? ததா³ ப்ரபு⁴ரகத²யத் யம்’ யீஸு²ம்’ த்வம்’ தாட³யஸி ஸ ஏவாஹம்’; கண்டகஸ்ய முகே² பதா³கா⁴தகரணம்’ தவ கஷ்டம்|
6 But arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
ததா³ கம்பமாநோ விஸ்மயாபந்நஸ்²ச ஸோவத³த் ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ மயா கிம்’ கர்த்தவ்யம்’? ப⁴வத இச்சா² கா? தத: ப்ரபு⁴ராஜ்ஞாபயத்³ உத்தா²ய நக³ரம்’ க³ச்ச² தத்ர த்வயா யத் கர்த்தவ்யம்’ தத்³ வதி³ஷ்யதே|
7 And the men that journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing the voice, but seeing no one.
தஸ்ய ஸங்கி³நோ லோகா அபி தம்’ ஸ²ப்³த³ம்’ ஸ்²ருதவந்த: கிந்து கமபி ந த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா ஸ்தப்³தா⁴: ஸந்த: ஸ்தி²தவந்த: |
8 And Saul arose from the earth; but when his eyes were opened, he saw nothing; and they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
அநந்தரம்’ ஸௌ²லோ பூ⁴மித உத்தா²ய சக்ஷுஷீ உந்மீல்ய கமபி ந த்³ரு’ஷ்டவாந்| ததா³ லோகாஸ்தஸ்ய ஹஸ்தௌ த்⁴ரு’த்வா த³ம்மேஷக்நக³ரம் ஆநயந்|
9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
தத: ஸ தி³நத்ரயம்’ யாவத்³ அந்தோ⁴ பூ⁴த்வா ந பு⁴க்தவாந் பீதவாம்’ஸ்²ச|
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias, and to him the Lord said in a vision, Ananias! And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
தத³நந்தரம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்தத்³த³ம்மேஷக்நக³ரவாஸிந ஏகஸ்மை ஸி²ஷ்யாய த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ த³த்வா ஆஹூதவாந் ஹே அநநிய| தத: ஸ ப்ரத்யவாதீ³த், ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ பஸ்²ய ஸ்²ரு’ணோமி|
11 And the Lord said to him, Arise, and go into the street called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus; for lo! he prayeth,
ததா³ ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்தமாஜ்ஞாபயத் த்வமுத்தா²ய ஸரலநாமாநம்’ மார்க³ம்’ க³த்வா யிஹூதா³நிவேஸ²நே தார்ஷநக³ரீயம்’ ஸௌ²லநாமாநம்’ ஜநம்’ க³வேஷயந் ப்ரு’ச்ச²;
12 and hath seen a man, named Ananias, coming in and putting his hand on him, that he might receive sight.
பஸ்²ய ஸ ப்ரார்த²யதே, ததா² அநநியநாமக ஏகோ ஜநஸ்தஸ்ய ஸமீபம் ஆக³த்ய தஸ்ய கா³த்ரே ஹஸ்தார்பணம்’ க்ரு’த்வா த்³ரு’ஷ்டிம்’ த³தா³தீத்த²ம்’ ஸ்வப்நே த்³ரு’ஷ்டவாந்|
13 But Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how great evils he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem.
தஸ்மாத்³ அநநிய: ப்ரத்யவத³த் ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ யிரூஸா²லமி பவித்ரலோகாந் ப்ரதி ஸோ(அ)நேகஹிம்’ஸாம்’ க்ரு’தவாந்;
14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
அத்ர ஸ்தா²நே ச யே லோகாஸ்தவ நாம்நி ப்ரார்த²யந்தி தாநபி ப³த்³து⁴ம்’ ஸ ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகேப்⁴ய: ஸ²க்திம்’ ப்ராப்தவாந், இமாம்’ கதா²ம் அஹம் அநேகேஷாம்’ முகே²ப்⁴ய: ஸ்²ருதவாந்|
15 But the Lord said to him, Go; for this man is to me a chosen vessel, to bear my name before nations, and kings, and the sons of Israel.
கிந்து ப்ரபு⁴ரகத²யத், யாஹி பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸீ²யலோகாநாம்’ பூ⁴பதீநாம் இஸ்ராயேல்லோகாநாஞ்ச நிகடே மம நாம ப்ரசாரயிதும்’ ஸ ஜநோ மம மநோநீதபாத்ரமாஸ்தே|
16 For I myself will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
மம நாமநிமித்தஞ்ச தேந கியாந் மஹாந் க்லேஸோ² போ⁴க்தவ்ய ஏதத் தம்’ த³ர்ஸ²யிஷ்யாமி|
17 And Ananias went away, and entered the house; and putting his hands on him, he said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus who appeared to thee in the way thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mayst receive sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
ததோ (அ)நநியோ க³த்வா க்³ரு’ஹம்’ ப்ரவிஸ்²ய தஸ்ய கா³த்ரே ஹஸ்தார்ப்ரணம்’ க்ரு’த்வா கதி²தவாந், ஹே ப்⁴ராத: ஸௌ²ல த்வம்’ யதா² த்³ரு’ஷ்டிம்’ ப்ராப்நோஷி பவித்ரேணாத்மநா பரிபூர்ணோ ப⁴வஸி ச, தத³ர்த²ம்’ தவாக³மநகாலே ய: ப்ரபு⁴யீஸு²ஸ்துப்⁴யம்’ த³ர்ஸ²நம் அத³தா³த் ஸ மாம்’ ப்ரேஷிதவாந்|
18 And immediately there fell off from his eyes as it were scales; and he received sight, and arose, and was baptized.
இத்யுக்தமாத்ரே தஸ்ய சக்ஷுர்ப்⁴யாம் மீநஸ²ல்கவத்³ வஸ்துநி நிர்க³தே தத்க்ஷணாத் ஸ ப்ரஸந்நசக்ஷு ர்பூ⁴த்வா ப்ரோத்தா²ய மஜ்ஜிதோ(அ)ப⁴வத் பு⁴க்த்வா பீத்வா ஸப³லோப⁴வச்ச|
19 And having taken some food he was strengthened. And he was some days with the disciples in Damascus.
தத: பரம்’ ஸௌ²ல: ஸி²ஷ்யை: ஸஹ கதிபயதி³வஸாந் தஸ்மிந் த³ம்மேஷகநக³ரே ஸ்தி²த்வா(அ)விலம்ப³ம்’
20 And immediately he preached Jesus in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
ஸர்வ்வப⁴ஜநப⁴வநாநி க³த்வா யீஸு²ரீஸ்²வரஸ்ய புத்ர இமாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ப்ராசாரயத்|
21 And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that destroyed in Jerusalem those who called on this name? And he hath come hither for this purpose, that he may bring them bound to the chief priests.
தஸ்மாத் ஸர்வ்வே ஸ்²ரோதாரஸ்²சமத்க்ரு’த்ய கதி²தவந்தோ யோ யிரூஸா²லம்நக³ர ஏதந்நாம்நா ப்ரார்த²யித்ரு’லோகாந் விநாஸி²தவாந் ஏவம் ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²லோகாந் ப³த்³த்⁴வா ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகநிகடம்’ நயதீத்யாஸ²யா ஏதத்ஸ்தா²நமப்யாக³ச்ச²த் ஸஏவ கிமயம்’ ந ப⁴வதி?
22 But Saul gained still more strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.
கிந்து ஸௌ²ல: க்ரமஸ² உத்ஸாஹவாந் பூ⁴த்வா யீஸு²ரீஸ்²வரேணாபி⁴ஷிக்தோ ஜந ஏதஸ்மிந் ப்ரமாணம்’ த³த்வா த³ம்மேஷக்-நிவாஸியிஹூதீ³யலோகாந் நிருத்தராந் அகரோத்|
23 But after many days had passed, the Jews took counsel together to kill him;
இத்த²ம்’ ப³ஹுதிதே² காலே க³தே யிஹூதீ³யலோகாஸ்தம்’ ஹந்தும்’ மந்த்ரயாமாஸு:
24 but their plot became known to Saul; and they were even watching the gates day and night to kill him.
கிந்து ஸௌ²லஸ்தேஷாமேதஸ்யா மந்த்ரணாயா வார்த்தாம்’ ப்ராப்தவாந்| தே தம்’ ஹந்தும்’ து தி³வாநிஸ²ம்’ கு³ப்தா: ஸந்தோ நக³ரஸ்ய த்³வாரே(அ)திஷ்ட²ந்;
25 But his disciples took him by night, and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.
தஸ்மாத் ஸி²ஷ்யாஸ்தம்’ நீத்வா ராத்ரௌ பிடகே நிதா⁴ய ப்ராசீரேணாவாரோஹயந்|
26 And when he had come to Jerusalem, he attempted to join himself to the disciples; and they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
தத: பரம்’ ஸௌ²லோ யிரூஸா²லமம்’ க³த்வா ஸி²ஷ்யக³ணேந ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ஸ்தா²தும் ஐஹத், கிந்து ஸர்வ்வே தஸ்மாத³பி³ப⁴யு: ஸ ஸி²ஷ்ய இதி ச ந ப்ரத்யயந்|
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that he had spoken to him, and hew he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
ஏதஸ்மாத்³ ப³ர்ணப்³பா³ஸ்தம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா ப்ரேரிதாநாம்’ ஸமீபமாநீய மார்க³மத்⁴யே ப்ரபு⁴: கத²ம்’ தஸ்மை த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ த³த்தவாந் யா: கதா²ஸ்²ச கதி²தவாந் ஸ ச யதா²க்ஷோப⁴: ஸந் த³ம்மேஷக்நக³ரே யீஸோ² ர்நாம ப்ராசாரயத் ஏதாந் ஸர்வ்வவ்ரு’த்தாந்தாந் தாந் ஜ்ஞாபிதவாந்|
28 And he was with them going in and out at Jerusalem,
தத: ஸௌ²லஸ்தை: ஸஹ யிரூஸா²லமி காலம்’ யாபயந் நிர்ப⁴யம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸோ² ர்நாம ப்ராசாரயத்|
29 speaking boldly in the name of the Lord. And he often spoke and disputed with the Hellenists; but they were endeavoring to slay him.
தஸ்மாத்³ அந்யதே³ஸீ²யலோகை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ விவாத³ஸ்யோபஸ்தி²தத்வாத் தே தம்’ ஹந்தும் அசேஷ்டந்த|
30 But the brethren obtaining knowledge of it, brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.
கிந்து ப்⁴ராத்ரு’க³ணஸ்தஜ்ஜ்ஞாத்வா தம்’ கைஸரியாநக³ரம்’ நீத்வா தார்ஷநக³ரம்’ ப்ரேஷிதவாந்|
31 The church therefore throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, being built up, and walking in the fear of the Lord; and by the exhortation of the Holy Spirit it was greatly increased.
இத்த²ம்’ ஸதி யிஹூதி³யாகா³லீல்ஸோ²மிரோணதே³ஸீ²யா: ஸர்வ்வா மண்ட³ல்யோ விஸ்²ராமம்’ ப்ராப்தாஸ்ததஸ்தாஸாம்’ நிஷ்டா²ப⁴வத் ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்பி⁴யா பவித்ரஸ்யாத்மந: ஸாந்த்வநயா ச காலம்’ க்ஷேபயித்வா ப³ஹுஸம்’க்²யா அப⁴வந்|
32 And it came to pass, that as Peter went through the whole country, he came down also to the saints who dwelt at Lydda.
தத: பரம்’ பிதர: ஸ்தா²நே ஸ்தா²நே ப்⁴ரமித்வா ஸே²ஷே லோத்³நக³ரநிவாஸிபவித்ரலோகாநாம்’ ஸமீபே ஸ்தி²தவாந்|
33 And there he found a certain man named AEneas, who had lain on a bed eight years, and was palsied.
ததா³ தத்ர பக்ஷாகா⁴தவ்யாதி⁴நாஷ்டௌ வத்ஸராந் ஸ²ய்யாக³தம் ஐநேயநாமாநம்’ மநுஷ்யம்’ ஸாக்ஷத் ப்ராப்ய தமவத³த்,
34 And Peter said to him, AEneas, Jesus the Christ healeth thee; arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.
ஹே ஐநேய யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்த்வாம்’ ஸ்வஸ்த²ம் அகார்ஷீத், த்வமுத்தா²ய ஸ்வஸ²ய்யாம்’ நிக்ஷிப, இத்யுக்தமாத்ரே ஸ உத³திஷ்ட²த்|
35 And all that dwelt in Lydda and Sharon saw him; and they turned to the Lord.
ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா லோத்³ஸா²ரோணநிவாஸிநோ லோகா: ப்ரபு⁴ம்’ ப்ரதி பராவர்த்தந்த|
36 Now at Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which name being interpreted is the same as Dorcas, that is, Gazelle. This woman was full of good works and alms-deeds which she did.
அபரஞ்ச பி⁴க்ஷாதா³நாதி³ஷு நாநக்ரியாஸு நித்யம்’ ப்ரவ்ரு’த்தா யா யாபோ²நக³ரநிவாஸிநீ டாபி³தா²நாமா ஸி²ஷ்யா யாம்’ த³ர்க்காம்’ அர்தா²த்³ ஹரிணீமயுக்த்வா ஆஹ்வயந் ஸா நாரீ
37 And it came to pass in those days, that she fell sick, and died; and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper chamber.
தஸ்மிந் ஸமயே ருக்³நா ஸதீ ப்ராணாந் அத்யஜத், ததோ லோகாஸ்தாம்’ ப்ரக்ஷால்யோபரிஸ்த²ப்ரகோஷ்டே² ஸா²யயித்வாஸ்தா²பயந்|
38 And as Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, having heard that Peter was there, sent to him two men with the entreaty, Do not delay to come to us.
லோத்³நக³ரம்’ யாபோ²நக³ரஸ்ய ஸமீபஸ்த²ம்’ தஸ்மாத்தத்ர பிதர ஆஸ்தே, இதி வார்த்தாம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா தூர்ணம்’ தஸ்யாக³மநார்த²ம்’ தஸ்மிந் விநயமுக்த்வா ஸி²ஷ்யக³ணோ த்³வௌ மநுஜௌ ப்ரேஷிதவாந்|
39 Then Peter arose, and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber; and all the widows came to him weeping, and showing the coats and cloaks which Dorcas made while she was with them.
தஸ்மாத் பிதர உத்தா²ய தாப்⁴யாம்’ ஸார்த்³த⁴ம் ஆக³ச்ச²த், தத்ர தஸ்மிந் உபஸ்தி²த உபரிஸ்த²ப்ரகோஷ்ட²ம்’ ஸமாநீதே ச வித⁴வா: ஸ்வாபி⁴: ஸஹ ஸ்தி²திகாலே த³ர்க்கயா க்ரு’தாநி யாந்யுத்தரீயாணி பரிதே⁴யாநி ச தாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி தம்’ த³ர்ஸ²யித்வா ருத³த்யஸ்²சதஸ்ரு’ஷு தி³க்ஷ்வதிஷ்ட²ந்|
40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes; and seeing Peter, she sat up.
கிந்து பிதரஸ்தா: ஸர்வ்வா ப³ஹி: க்ரு’த்வா ஜாநுநீ பாதயித்வா ப்ரார்தி²தவாந்; பஸ்²சாத் ஸ²வம்’ ப்ரதி த்³ரு’ஷ்டிம்’ க்ரு’த்வா கதி²தவாந், ஹே டாபீ³தே² த்வமுத்திஷ்ட², இதி வாக்ய உக்தே ஸா ஸ்த்ரீ சக்ஷுஷீ ப்ரோந்மீல்ய பிதரம் அவலோக்யோத்தா²யோபாவிஸ²த்|
41 And he gave her his hand, and raised her up; and calling the saints and the widows, he presented her alive.
தத: பிதரஸ்தஸ்யா: கரௌ த்⁴ரு’த்வா உத்தோல்ய பவித்ரலோகாந் வித⁴வாஸ்²சாஹூய தேஷாம்’ நிகடே ஸஜீவாம்’ தாம்’ ஸமார்பயத்|
42 And it became known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.
ஏஷா கதா² ஸமஸ்தயாபோ²நக³ரம்’ வ்யாப்தா தஸ்மாத்³ அநேகே லோகா: ப்ரபௌ⁴ வ்யஸ்²வஸந்|
43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon, a tanner.
அபரஞ்ச பிதரஸ்தத்³யாபோ²நக³ரீயஸ்ய கஸ்யசித் ஸி²மோந்நாம்நஸ்²சர்ம்மகாரஸ்ய க்³ரு’ஹே ப³ஹுதி³நாநி ந்யவஸத்|
