< Acts 9 >

1 But Saul, yet breathing out threatening and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,
ⲁ̅ⲥⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲓ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲉϩ ⲛⲁⲡⲓⲗⲏ ϩⲓ ϩⲱⲧⲃ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁϥϯ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲉⲡⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ
2 and asked of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any who were of this way of belief, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
ⲃ̅ⲁϥⲁⲓⲧⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲉⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥⲕⲟⲥ ϣⲁ ⲛⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲛⲉⲧϥⲛⲁϩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϩⲓⲟⲙⲉ ⲉϥⲉϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲙⲏⲣ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus; and suddenly there shone around a him a light from heaven;
ⲅ̅ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥⲕⲟⲥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲥⲛⲉ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ϣⲁ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ
4 and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
ⲇ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲩⲥⲙⲏ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲁⲩⲗⲉ ⲥⲁⲩⲗⲉⲁϩⲣⲟⲕ ⲕⲡⲏⲧ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And he answered, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
ⲉ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲕ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲕⲡⲏⲧ ⲛⲥⲱϥ
6 But arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
ⲋ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲅⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲧⲁⲙⲟⲕ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉϣϣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲉⲁⲁϥ
7 And the men that journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing the voice, but seeing no one.
ⲍ̅ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲉⲩⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲟⲛϣ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲥⲙⲏ ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲟⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ
8 And Saul arose from the earth; but when his eyes were opened, he saw nothing; and they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
ⲏ̅ⲥⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲩϫⲓⲙⲟⲉⲓⲧ ⲇⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲩϫⲓⲧϥ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥⲕⲟⲥ
9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
ⲑ̅ⲁϥⲣϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲛϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲡϥⲥⲱ
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias, and to him the Lord said in a vision, Ananias! And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
ⲓ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ ⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥⲕⲟⲥ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲛⲁⲛⲓⲁⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲣⲟⲙⲁ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲁⲛⲓⲁ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
11 And the Lord said to him, Arise, and go into the street called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus; for lo! he prayeth,
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲅⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲫⲓⲣ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲥⲟⲩⲧⲱⲛ ⲛⲅϣⲓⲛⲉϩⲙ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲥ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲟⲩⲣⲙⲧⲁⲣⲥⲟⲥ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲥⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲉϥϣⲗⲏⲗ
12 and hath seen a man, named Ananias, coming in and putting his hand on him, that he might receive sight.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲁⲛⲓⲁⲥ ⲉⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲉϫⲱϥ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
13 But Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how great evils he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲁⲛⲁⲛⲓⲁⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲓⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲛⲧⲛ ϩⲁϩ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲉⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲣϩⲁϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲑⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲕⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ
14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲉⲙⲟⲩⲣ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲉⲡⲓⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ
15 But the Lord said to him, Go; for this man is to me a chosen vessel, to bear my name before nations, and kings, and the sons of Israel.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲕⲉⲩⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲥⲱⲧⲡ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϥⲓ ϩⲁ ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲣⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲓⲏⲗ
16 For I myself will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲛϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲉⲧϥⲛⲁϣⲟⲡⲟⲩ ϩⲁ ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ
17 And Ananias went away, and entered the house; and putting his hands on him, he said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus who appeared to thee in the way thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mayst receive sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲁϥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲁⲛⲁⲛⲓⲁⲥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲏⲓ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲛⲉϥϭⲓϫ ⲉϫⲛ ⲥⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲁⲩⲗⲉ ⲡⲁⲥⲟⲛ ⲡϫⲟⲓⲥ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲉⲧⲕⲛⲏⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲕⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲅⲙⲟⲩϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
18 And immediately there fell off from his eyes as it were scales; and he received sight, and arose, and was baptized.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛϩⲉⲛϩⲃⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ
19 And having taken some food he was strengthened. And he was some days with the disciples in Damascus.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁϥϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥⲕⲟⲥ ⲛϩⲉⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ
20 And immediately he preached Jesus in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
ⲕ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲕⲩⲣⲏⲥⲥⲉ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲥ ϩⲛ ⲛⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
21 And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that destroyed in Jerusalem those who called on this name? And he hath come hither for this purpose, that he may bring them bound to the chief priests.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲡⲱϣⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲙⲡⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϫⲱⲱⲣⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲡⲓⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲣⲁⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩϥ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲓⲙⲁ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲙⲏⲣ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ
22 But Saul gained still more strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲥⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉϥϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲏϩ ϩⲛ ⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥⲕⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲧⲁⲙⲟ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
23 But after many days had passed, the Jews took counsel together to kill him;
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ϣⲟϫⲛⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲧⲃⲉϥ
24 but their plot became known to Saul; and they were even watching the gates day and night to kill him.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲙⲉ ⲥⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲡⲉⲩϣⲟϫⲛⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲙⲡⲩⲗⲏ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲩⲉⲙⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
25 But his disciples took him by night, and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲩϫⲓⲧϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲭⲁⲗⲁ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲥⲟⲃⲧ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲃⲓⲣ ⲛⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ
26 And when he had come to Jerusalem, he attempted to join himself to the disciples; and they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ ⲁϥϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲉⲧⲟϭϥ ⲉⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that he had spoken to him, and hew he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲃⲁⲣⲛⲁⲃⲁⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁϥϫⲓⲧϥ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ϫⲉ ⲁϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁⲍⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲛ ⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥⲕⲟⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲛⲓⲥ
28 And he was with them going in and out at Jerusalem,

29 speaking boldly in the name of the Lord. And he often spoke and disputed with the Hellenists; but they were endeavoring to slay him.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲛⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥϯⲧⲱⲛ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲉⲛⲓⲛ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲟⲧⲃⲉϥ
30 But the brethren obtaining knowledge of it, brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.

31 The church therefore throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, being built up, and walking in the fear of the Lord; and by the exhortation of the Holy Spirit it was greatly increased.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧϩⲛ ϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲥϣⲟⲟⲡ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉⲩⲕⲱⲧ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲛ ⲑⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲙ ⲡⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲛⲉⲥⲁϣⲁⲓ
32 And it came to pass, that as Peter went through the whole country, he came down also to the saints who dwelt at Lydda.

33 And there he found a certain man named AEneas, who had lain on a bed eight years, and was palsied.

34 And Peter said to him, AEneas, Jesus the Christ healeth thee; arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

35 And all that dwelt in Lydda and Sharon saw him; and they turned to the Lord.

36 Now at Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which name being interpreted is the same as Dorcas, that is, Gazelle. This woman was full of good works and alms-deeds which she did.
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲱⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ ⲓⲟⲡⲡⲏ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲁⲃⲓⲑⲁ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲉϣⲁⲩⲟⲩⲁϩⲙⲉⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲟⲣⲕⲁⲥ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲥϫⲏⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲉ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ ϩⲓ ⲙⲛⲧⲛⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲉⲥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ
37 And it came to pass in those days, that she fell sick, and died; and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper chamber.

38 And as Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, having heard that Peter was there, sent to him two men with the entreaty, Do not delay to come to us.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲉⲣⲉⲗⲩⲇⲇⲁ ⲇⲉ ϩⲏⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲓⲟⲡⲡⲏ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩϫⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣϫⲛⲁⲁⲩ ⲉⲉⲓ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲛ
39 Then Peter arose, and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber; and all the widows came to him weeping, and showing the coats and cloaks which Dorcas made while she was with them.
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲓⲧϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲛⲉⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲩⲣⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲩⲧⲥⲁⲃⲟ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉϩⲉⲛϣⲧⲏⲛ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲉⲥⲧⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲥⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲇⲟⲣⲕⲁⲥ
40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes; and seeing Peter, she sat up.

42 And it became known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.
