Acts 8
1 And Saul was consenting to his death. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and all were scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
੧ਸੌਲੁਸ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿੱਲਰ ਗਏ।
2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
੨ਭਗਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਤੀਫ਼ਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਬਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਵੱਡਾ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ।
3 But Saul ravaged the church, entering house after house, and dragging both men and women, committed them to prison.
੩ਪਰ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜ ਕੇ ਮਰਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਸੀਟ ਕੇ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
4 Now those that had been scattered abroad went through the country preaching the word.
੪ਜਿਹੜੇ ਖਿੱਲਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਘੁੰਮਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।
5 And Philip went down to a city of Samaria, and preached to them the Christ.
੫ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
6 And the multitudes with one accord gave heed to the things spoken by Philip, when they heard and saw the signs which he wrought.
੬ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਸੁਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੇ, ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਨ ਲਾਇਆ।
7 For from many that had unclean spirits came they out crying with a loud voice; and many that were palsied, and that were lame, were cured.
੭ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਆਤਮਾਵਾਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਬੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ, ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਚੀਕਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਰੰਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਗੜੇ ਬਥੇਰੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
8 And there was great joy in that city.
੮ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੋਇਆ।
9 But before their arrival a certain man, named Simon, was in the city, a man practising sorcery, and amazing the people of Samaria, saying that he himself was some great person;
੯ਪਰ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਂ ਪੁਰਖ ਹਾਂ।
10 to whom they gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the Power of God, which is called Great.
੧੦ਉਹ ਛੋਟੇ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਭ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਮਨ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਹਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ!
11 And to him they gave heed, because they had for a long time been amazed by his sorceries.
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਨ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ।
12 But when they believed Philip, publishing the glad tidings concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
੧੨ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
13 And Simon himself also believed, and having been baptized he continued with Philip, and was amazed when he beheld the miracles and signs which were wrought.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀਆਂ, ਕਰਾਮਾਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ।
14 And the apostles at Jerusalem, hearing that Samaria had received the word of God, sent to them Peter and John;
੧੪ਜਦੋਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
15 who, having come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.
੧੫ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਪਾਉਣ।
16 For it had not yet fallen upon any of them; but they had only been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
੧੬ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਉਤਰਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
17 Then they laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
੧੭ਤਦ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ।
18 But Simon, seeing that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, offered them money,
੧੮ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜੋ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਣ ਨਾਲ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੁਪਏ ਲਿਆਇਆ।
19 saying, Give me also this power, that on whomever I lay my hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit.
੧੯ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਦਿਉ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਜਾਵੇ।
20 But Peter said to him, Thy money perish with thee! because thou didst think to obtain the gift of God with money.
੨੦ਪਰ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੇਰੇ ਰੁਪਏ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਲ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਸੋਚਿਆ!
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter; for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
੨੧ਤੇਰਾ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨਾ ਸਾਂਝ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray the Lord, if haply the thought of thy heart may be forgiven thee.
੨੨ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਤੋਂ ਤੋਬਾ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਚ ਹੈ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
੨੩ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਪਿੱਤ ਦੀ ਕੁੜੱਤਣ ਅਤੇ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈਂ।
24 And Simon answering said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of the things which ye have spoken may come upon me.
੨੪ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾ ਆ ਪਵੇ।
25 They then, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, were returning to Jerusalem, and publishing the glad tidings in many villages of the Samaritans.
੨੫ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜੇ।
26 But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Arise, and go towards the south, to the way that goeth down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a desert way.
੨੬ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉੱਠ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਉਸ ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਾਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਜਾੜ ਹੈ।
27 And he arose and went; and lo! a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch, a high officer of Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem to worship,
੨੭ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਕਿ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇਸ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਖੋਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਕੰਦਾਕੇ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।
28 was returning and sitting in his chariot; and he was reading the prophet Isaiah.
੨੮ਉਹ ਮੁੜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
29 And the Spirit said to Philip, Go near and join thyself to this chariot.
੨੯ਤਦ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਚੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਰੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਰਲ ਜਾ।
30 And Philip ran up, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, Well, but dost thou understand what thou art reading?
੩੦ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜਦੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੜਦੇ ਹੋ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਵੀ ਹੋ?
31 And he said, How can I, unless some one shall guide me? And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
੩੧ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕੋਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਮਝਾਵੇ, ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ? ਫੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਾ।
32 And the passage of the scripture which he was reading was this: “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so he openeth not his mouth.
੩੨ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਸੋ ਇਹ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਭੇਡ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਢੇ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਲੇਲਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਉੱਨ ਕਤਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਦਾ!
33 In his humiliation judgment was refused him; and who shall describe his generation? for his life is taken away from the earth.”
੩੩ਉਹ ਦੀ ਅਧੀਨਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਖੁੱਸ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਦਾ ਕੌਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਉਠਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
34 And the eunuch answering said, I pray thee, of whom doth the prophet say this? Of himself, or of some other man?
੩੪ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਖੋਜੇ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਹ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਨਬੀ ਕਿਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ?
35 And Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this scripture declared to him the glad tidings concerning Jesus.
੩੫ਤਦ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੋਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਲਿਖਤ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਈ।
36 And as they went along the road, they came to a certain water; and the eunuch saith, See, here is water; what is there to hinder my being baptized?
੩੬ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਦ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਕੁੰਡ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਤਦ ਉਸ ਖੋਜੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵੇਖ, ਇੱਥੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਰੋਕਦੀ ਹੈ?
੩੭ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਲੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ।” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ।”
38 And he commanded that the chariot should stop; and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
੩੮ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰੱਥ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜਾ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
39 But when they had come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip; and the eunuch saw him no more, for he went on his way rejoicing.
੩੯ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਏ ਤਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜੇ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਨਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
40 But Philip was found at Azotus; and passing through, he published the glad tidings in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.
੪੦ਪਰ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਅਜ਼ੋਤੁਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਆਇਆ ਉਹ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ।
