Acts 6
1 But in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a murmuring of the Hellenists against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
ตสฺมินฺ สมเย ศิษฺยาณำ พาหุลฺยาตฺ ปฺราตฺยหิกทานสฺย วิศฺราณไน รฺภินฺนเทศียานำ วิธวาสฺตฺรีคณ อุเปกฺษิเต สติ อิพฺรียโลไก: สหานฺยเทศียานำ วิวาท อุปาติษฺฐตฺฯ
2 And the twelve called the multitude of the disciples to them, and said, It doth not seem to us proper, that we should leave the word of God, and provide for tables.
ตทา ทฺวาทศเปฺรริตา: สรฺวฺวานฺ ศิษฺยานฺ สํคฺฤหฺยากถยนฺ อีศฺวรสฺย กถาปฺรจารํ ปริตฺยชฺย โภชนคเวษณมฺ อสฺมากมฺ อุจิตํ นหิฯ
3 Therefore, brethren, look out among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint over this business;
อโต เห ภฺราตฺฤคณ วยมฺ เอตตฺกรฺมฺมโณ ภารํ เยโภฺย ทาตุํ ศกฺนุม เอตาทฺฤศานฺ สุขฺยาตฺยาปนฺนานฺ ปวิเตฺรณาตฺมนา ชฺญาเนน จ ปูรฺณานฺ สปฺปฺรชนานฺ ยูยํ เสฺวษำ มเธฺย มโนนีตานฺ กุรุต,
4 but we will give ourselves closely to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
กินฺตุ วยํ ปฺรารฺถนายำ กถาปฺรจารกรฺมฺมณิ จ นิตฺยปฺรวฺฤตฺตา: สฺถาสฺยาม: ฯ
5 And what was said pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus a proselyte of Antioch,
เอตสฺยำ กถายำ สรฺเวฺว โลกา: สนฺตุษฺฏา: สนฺต: เสฺวษำ มธฺยาตฺ สฺติผาน: ผิลิป: ปฺรขโร นิกาโนรฺ ตีมนฺ ปรฺมฺมิณา ยิหูทิมตคฺราหี-อานฺติยขิยานครีโย นิกลา เอตานฺ ปรมภกฺตานฺ ปวิเตฺรณาตฺมนา ปริปูรฺณานฺ สปฺต ชนานฺ
6 whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
เปฺรริตานำ สมกฺษมฺ อานยนฺ, ตตเสฺต ปฺรารฺถนำ กฺฤตฺวา เตษำ ศิร: สุ หสฺตานฺ อารฺปยนฺฯ
7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem was greatly enlarged; and a great multitude of the priests were obedient to the faith.
อปรญฺจ อีศฺวรสฺย กถา เทศํ วฺยาปฺโนตฺ วิเศษโต ยิรูศาลมิ นคเร ศิษฺยาณำ สํขฺยา ปฺรภูตรูเปณาวรฺทฺธต ยาชกานำ มเธฺยปิ พหว: ขฺรีษฺฏมตคฺราหิโณ'ภวนฺฯ
8 And Stephen, full of grace and power, wrought great wonders and signs among the people.
สฺติผาโน วิศฺวาเสน ปรากฺรเมณ จ ปริปูรฺณ: สนฺ โลกานำ มเธฺย พหุวิธมฺ อทฺภุตมฺ อาศฺจรฺยฺยํ กรฺมฺมากโรตฺฯ
9 But some of those who belonged to the so-called synagogue of the Freedmen, and of the Cyrenaeans and Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and Asia, arose and disputed with Stephen;
เตน ลิพรฺตฺตินียนามฺนา วิขฺยาตสงฺฆสฺย กติปยชนา: กุรีณียสิกนฺทรีย-กิลิกียาศียาเทศียา: กิยนฺโต ชนาศฺโจตฺถาย สฺติผาเนน สารฺทฺธํ วฺยวทนฺตฯ
10 and they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.
กินฺตุ สฺติผาโน ชฺญาเนน ปวิเตฺรณาตฺมนา จ อีทฺฤศีํ กถำ กถิตวานฺ ยสฺยาเสฺต อาปตฺตึ กรฺตฺตุํ นาศกฺนุวนฺฯ
11 Then they suborned men, who said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and God.
ปศฺจาตฺ ไต โรฺลภิตา: กติปยชนา: กถาเมนามฺ อกถยนฺ, วยํ ตสฺย มุขโต มูสา อีศฺวรสฺย จ นินฺทาวากฺยมฺ อเศฺราษฺมฯ
12 And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and seized him, and brought him to the council,
เต โลกานำ โลกปฺราจีนานามฺ อธฺยาปกานาญฺจ ปฺรวฺฤตฺตึ ชนยิตฺวา สฺติผานสฺย สนฺนิธิมฺ อาคตฺย ตํ ธฺฤตฺวา มหาสภามธฺยมฺ อานยนฺฯ
13 and set up false witnesses, who said, This man ceaseth not to speak words against the holy place, and the Law.
ตทนนฺตรํ กติปยชเนษุ มิถฺยาสากฺษิษุ สมานีเตษุ เต'กถยนฺ เอษ ชน เอตตฺปุณฺยสฺถานวฺยวสฺถโย รฺนินฺทาต: กทาปิ น นิวรฺตฺตเตฯ
14 For we have heard him say, This Jesus the Nazarene will destroy this place, and change the customs which Moses delivered to us.
ผลโต นาสรตียยีศุ: สฺถานเมตทฺ อุจฺฉินฺนํ กริษฺยติ มูสาสมรฺปิตมฺ อสฺมากํ วฺยวหรณมฺ อนฺยรูปํ กริษฺยติ ตไสฺยตาทฺฤศีํ กถำ วยมฺ อศฺฤณุมฯ
15 And all that sat in the council, looking steadily upon him, saw his face like the face of an angel.
ตทา มหาสภาสฺถา: สรฺเวฺว ตํ ปฺรติ สฺถิรำ ทฺฤษฺฏึ กฺฤตฺวา สฺวรฺคทูตมุขสทฺฤศํ ตสฺย มุขมฺ อปศฺยนฺฯ
